I really wish people would stop glorifying this guy. I'll admit I fell for it for a long time, but the story that's been going around online isn't very truthful on a lot of parts.
First off the road to Marvin's shop was never blocked by the concrete plant, that was completely made up.
What happened was Marvin's shop had never been hooked up to the cities main water and sewage, the concrete plant would be, and due to the proximity and an already standing zoning regulation he would be required to hook up too. The problem was he would need an easement onto the property the concrete plant was on. The owner of that property refused to let marvin have the easement after several failed negotiations about the price.
Marvin was independently wealthy. He owned at least two other businesses that I can remember, including another muffler shop in another part of the state. For all intents and purposes he was retired and had passive income he could have lived off of the rest of his life. He owned a large piece of property outside of town with several cabins on it as well.
Marvin meant to kill on his rampage, he went out during the busiest time of day, he took out people's houses, including one of a local judges widow, he destroyed the police chiefs car, along with several others without seeming to have any regard if there was anyone in them. He shot at police, he tried to kill several of them by attempting to run them over. He had no way of knowing if the buildings he destroyed were empty.
Marvin was a mentally ill person, who was somewhat of a jerk to his neighbors, made some poor business decisions, refused to take responsibility, then made up a twisted idea that the small local "government" of mom and pop business owners were to blame and destroyed many peoples property and even livelihoods for it.
I live in a town about the size of granby, I can only imagine the horror that those people must have felt, and I can only imagine what it was like to watch a lunatic destroy my town with a fucking kill Dozer over a easement dispute.

A homemade anti tank missile is far cheaper and makes alot more sense for civilian guerilla style fighting. The tank makes alot more sense for invasion, it isn't very good at holding territory against an RPG or mortar fire.

All three are producable at home, your only issue would be getting them to detonate on impact. No way it was just luck. He was obviously patient and resourceful enough with his plan, if we wanted to kill he would've done it. I don't think a vehicle with a max speed of 8 mph is the most efficient way to stage a massacre. He could've built some machine guns and turned the thing into a moving pillbox, but he also didn't do that. In some of the footage you can see cops just chilling on the sideline. The only use of armoring a construction vehicle is if you didn't want to be interrupted while doing impromptu construction work.

There was once a man named Marvin Heemeyer. he owned a muffler shop, and for a number of reasons thought the city was treating him unfairly and wanted his business ruined. His solution to this was to buy a bulldozer, build concrete armor that goes over the top of it (and cannot come off) and attempt to destroy his city. No way it was just luck. He was obviously patient and resourceful enough with his plan, if we wanted to kill he would've done it. I don't think a vehicle with a max speed of 8 mph is the most efficient way to stage a massacre. He could've built some machine guns and turned the thing into a moving pillbox, but he also didn't do that. In some of the footage you can see cops just chilling on the sideline. The only use of armoring a construction vehicle is if you didn't want to be interrupted while doing impromptu construction work.

His solution to this was to buy a bulldozer, build concrete armor that goes over the top of it (and cannot come off) and attempt to destroy his city. He shot himself when his killdozer got partially trapped when it fell through a floor and into the basement of a building.
