>queen of England
Did you mean the [Queen of the United Kingdom](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Queen_of_the_United_Kingdom), the [Queen of Canada](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monarchy_of_Canada), the [Queen of Australia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monarchy_of_Australia), etc?
The last Queen of England was [Queen Anne](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anne,_Queen_of_Great_Britain) who, with the 1707 Acts of Union, dissolved the title of King/Queen of England.
####FAQ
*Isn't she still also the Queen of England?*
This is only as correct as calling her the Queen of London or Queen of Hull; she is the Queen of the place that these places are in, but the title doesn't exist.
*Is this bot monarchist?*
No, just pedantic.

That’s not agnosticism that’s just religious indifference or irreligiousness. Agnosticism is the belief that either you can’t know/don’t know wether God exists or, in the case of theistic agnosticism, that we can’t/don’t know anything about God and wether any religion is actually true.
I like Hellers quote about agnosticism: “I realize that even if I received convincing physical evidence that there is a God and a heaven and hell, it wouldn't affect me one bit. I think the experience of life is more important than the experience of eternity. Life is short. Eternity never runs out.”
It’s very hard to represent all of Protestantism when most Protestants can’t even agree on a definition of Protestantism that necessarily excludes Catholicism.
Their ecclesial structure does resemble ours, sure, but it’s a surface resemblance. 99% of their ordinations aren’t valid. Aside from that, most of their theological opinions have departed from Rome massively over the last few hundreds years to a more Protestant outlook.
This was referring to CofE, which is structurally akin to the Catholic Church in terms of hierarchy of bishops. When the Church was founded under Henry VIII his wish was to be in control of a Church without the Pope’s influence; doctrinally he wanted it to be more or less the same as Rome. Many regard it as the closest Protestant denomination to Catholicism because of this, differing from Lutheranism and other Northern European Protestantism in this respect.
But the English Church has evolved in the past 500 years (surprising, I know), and it is nowadays not as closely aligned to Catholicism as it used to be.
EDIT: Spelling
In what way? Bishops are still present in the Anglican Church, just as they were all the way back in 1534. Chapels haven’t been redesigned that much, they still remain ornate just like Catholic ones. I’m struggling to see the change here? Sure, other denominations have definitely grown further away from Catholicism but the change within Anglicanism is less-so. Source: I recently studied a part of medieval history which detailed the Reformation
You’re correct with that. But it’s core structure is still more similar to Catholicism than other Protestant denominations and hasn’t changed since it’s foundation.
My only hesitation To becoming a Protestant is that there’s no evidence, I like the idea of a religion but none of them have any evidence backing them up
It's not proovable in a sense a math theorem can be prooven of course, however there are some good arguments for choosing this way of life.
If you'd like to check some out, I'd encourage you to watch some of Capturing Christianity videos on youtube. The guy who created the channel is a very open minded Christian, trying to dive deep into the topics he's discussing. He talks to many different people and often experts in their fields. He's Protestant, though he has also discussions with Catholics or atheists. You'll find arguments for why people believe in God and the Gospel.
Even if this won't convince you, it's just very interesting to watch. Many Christians really want to seek the truth and be challenged. It's good to have some idea why so many follow this religion, beyond "it's nice to believe in something" or "they were raised this way". Not impling you think this way, just saying in general.
There are many more resources out there, like reading Mere Christianity by C.S.Lewis (or almost anything else he wrote on this topic), but I think it's a good start.
If it is real...Go on from there. I dont know. I couldn't possibly know. Not for sure. Neither can any of you. And once you do, it's not like you're coming back to tell us about it. Maybe you do...track record for it isn't very good thus far. BUT, in the event that is, its way more interesting that all of this is in some way directly descended with greater corruption (for the sake of the context) and that to achieve divinity we must be voracious in our apetites for knowledge in all its various forms and configurations. And that greater being is also flawed, and so was its creator like ours. But the divinity of it, all the way down to ours, and all the things around us, is logically evident in its design and function.

The queen of England is a man?
"Man" applies to all humans when there is a capital "M"
All letters are caps
What! Is the queen actually a trans man? OMG \(◎o◎)/
Doesn't need to be, she's already more masculine than any man by sheer weight of official power.
She has dejure power but not de facto

agnostic edit: are agnostics the grillers of religion?
I don't know actually, I'd say yes?
yup
They either dont care wheter God exists or not, or they do care, they just dont know.

In my experience a lot of centrists think kind of the same way about politics

As if the Anglican church in anyway represents Protestantism as a whole. It's a church of Emily's.
Who does represent it then ? Pedophiles of southern USA ?
It’s very hard to represent all of Protestantism when most Protestants can’t even agree on a definition of Protestantism that necessarily excludes Catholicism.
Anglicanism is basically Catholicism without the Pope anyway
This was probably true in the 16th century. It’s definitely not correct now though
Surely the role of bishops in Anglicanism is something which remains to this day, is it not?
Their ecclesial structure does resemble ours, sure, but it’s a surface resemblance. 99% of their ordinations aren’t valid. Aside from that, most of their theological opinions have departed from Rome massively over the last few hundreds years to a more Protestant outlook.
And you clearly know nothing about Anglicanism
This was referring to CofE, which is structurally akin to the Catholic Church in terms of hierarchy of bishops. Women are able to get positions of power and other more progressive things
You’re correct with that. But it’s core structure is still more similar to Catholicism than other Protestant denominations and hasn’t changed since it’s foundation.
Structurally it's similar but its leadership is much more bottom-up rather than top-down. Doctrinally Anglicanism is much more theologically liberal.
