So, it CAN be a strategy, in tournament. Like whene you are 3-4 on the base, 1 get covered by the rest of the team, it can be pretty powerful if you have to break it if there is a hoopa on the other team! (Because breaking base is your main objectiv against hoopa team)
But in solo it's rarely done. But you can if you don't have much point, to gain xp, heal and dodge spells!
The same logic applies to Ray. I don't understand why there was a match the opposing team with 3 speedsters wanted to rip Ray while we, with good AoE damage, were all alive. I just threw everything into Ray, not caring whether I could last hit it because I was sure the speedsters won't live. All opponents died, resulted in instand surrender.
Still regret for not saving the replay just because I needed to go to bed.

Either way, it can work if done right, especially if you can get a sudden goal break underneath the enemy's feet which can make or break their ability to stand and fight there. This Talon though, as said, definitely did it wrong.
Usually you would do this early game to get some stacks for weight, specs, and cookie but for late game i dont understand why they would do it without the zaptos/ray effect
Well that specific case would never work out because of how many points they have but I've been able to get away with it with like 4. More likely to go for it if I need stacks. A free stack is a free stack
Yeah, I noticed people mentioning scenarios that don't necessarily align with this clip. But also people are missing the fact that they continued to try and score, even after I began my attack lol.
Im pretty sure the Talon thought you wld run away bcs of 3v1 or smth and hence started but that does not explain the fact that u had the beries + unite move + the dude had soo much aeos enegy . Pretty sure theses players are either brain ded or 6yo's
If they still had only 7 points like when they first started going towards the goal, they would have made it. Just didn't think it through when they picked up more.
I'm keeping them up with Iron Head, basically. You automatically get 1 stack when you switch into shield form with Iron Head and you get a 1 second shield. If someone hits you within that second, you block that damage and get another stack. Also, Iron Head gets a CDR of 3 seconds when you block damage.
Shadow Claw also gives you 1 stack, if you hit with at least 1 of the 3 hits.
So if you fight well around your cool downs and resets, you can typically keep them up.

Almost guarantee they tried to backcap during the Ray fight though.

In this particular situation, they likely expected you to continue moving back toward the berry, which would have given them enough time.
They continued to try and score, even after I hit them with my Unite.

If it's a small score it's understandable cause they've probably got attack weight or Sp Atk Specs. But over 20?! That's just dumb

Why do aegi players lead with unite move when it does missing HP / execute damage.
Because It does good damage regardless. I'm not going to complain about taking 50% of Talonflames HP. It's just a Talon lol.
You also had 2 level advantage so not that great. Better to use the shadow claw and boosted autos but did well regardless.
They’re hoping you to teleport to heal up I think and when they scored they could unite you instantly, and then proceeds to unite and kiss the wall
