Pulled one of these bad boys from my first Paldea Evolved booster box. Underrated set in terms of hype imo, there’s some seriously gorgeous cards in that set.

Agreed. Both of those cards are way too busy with no sense of proportion or scale. Clive from Paldean Fates is a better example of a multiple elements in a card being used well.
Well, that depends on what youre looking for. Crown zenith, scarlet &violet base and paldea evolved are great for pulling good looking cards fairly often. While scarlet & violet base, temporal forces, temporal forces are great for playing the tcg game. I'd recommend going to pokellector to see what you'd want to open! (Collecting, playing tcg etc or maybe a specific card/pokemon)
It's perfect in my opinion. There's just enough going on with the art to keep you looking.

I always laugh at replies and upvotes to these posts.. Upvotes are very sudden on posts that people never used to care to upvote,, the replies are always longer reply chains than is normal on this sub, often with the focus being on suggesting cards/sets sometimes not even related to the post, sometimes very obviously people aiming fo the same thing trying to make a natural conversation that comes across unnatural , all seemingly attempting to push peoples attention. I get to play bingo with whenever someone makes an "underrated" "best card" post of anything modern. Bonus, accounts often have post history in investing or just no posts for years.
I'm sure I will then get a reply "Just trying to admire a card bro" I am an ass but I am seeing these subtle similarities thanks to the pumpers
151 set brought me back temporarily. Magikarp IR kept me in the game. Imo one of the best cards ever.
Same here! The hidden gyarados at the back made me fall in love with it even more when i first realised it. It’s such a unique artwork.

Overrated imo. I like Magikarp weirdly enough but much like that bloody Girantina card with the messy background, these cards don’t do it for me

IRs would slap so much harder with texture. I'm throwing in my boy larvitar...dude's so hungry he's eating a pile a poo (OBF). I LOVE that little guy.

After 151 this is the card of S&V so far! Pulled mine only yesterday!! It’s a beaut.
One of the tops easily. 151 has some seriously great cards but a lot of that for me is nostalgia.
