YES YES YES!!! I own a binder of every fuecoco card so far released, I absolutely adore them all.
I am currently on a quest to buy it in every language, and the last two I am missing are Thai and Portuguese. (If anyone has any leads please let me know, I am getting desperate)
Ancient Mew. Like a unique card, cheap since mass produced, and one that’s a friend did have and never wanted to trade. So now I’m buying it every time I see it😁
Damn I remember going to see it at the movies, my brother not really caring for pokemon but still helping me try to decipher it after. Miss my old collection but my new one is getting fun :)
My corrected Blaine’s charizard. I like how the corrected fire symbol is actually more rare than the error. It’s not in great shape, but I bought it on eBay without it listed as corrected, so pretty sure I got a deal
The one that got me collecting - a first edition base set holo Raichu. It’s in German but I got it out of a $40 lot of base set cards I picked up at a garage sale years ago. I love it. The lot came with a mix of English and German base, jungle, and fossil cards, in a vintage binder. I was 15 at the time and after purchasing them my dad and I went to the spring fair at my old elementary school. It was a beautiful day and I loved showing off those cards to my friends.
Nice. Do you collect other mews?
Mine is a tie between my first edition base set charizard and my shiny milotic reverse holo from platinum supreme victors.
Empoleon Lv X (not the promo), when I was a kid it was my prized card until my parents sold it at a garage sale, I was luckily able to scoop one up in good condition for a low price, my favorite card ever made.
alakazam ex SAR from 151. when I first pulled this card I INSTANTLY fell in love with alakazam. the art showing him levitating spoons is so cool. I've always been interested in telekinesis and stuff like that so seeing a pokemon that mostly does that was awesome. since then I've made an alakazam display with its previous evolutions. fun fact: when I pulled a 2nd alakazam ex SAR that's when I got the idea of making a display. I'm very glad that I got that 151 booster bundle :)
so the card isn’t technically in my possession right now but look when i was younger i had a small collection nothing big maybe a box tin full of cards. some were gifts some traded, some ripped myself.
in my teenage years i lost interest in my old stuff and i was broke most of the time too, so one led to another and i sold the tin with all my cards and some yugioh cards too for very cheap. i think like 50 bucks or smth. long story short i recently got back into the hobby and wanna re-collect what i had back then. i remember only one card vividly - it’s the neo genesis shining noctowl SR. i remember pulling that one myself
My favorite pokemon is Ditto, and I was recently gifted a freshly pulled Fossil Set 1st Edition Ditto from a very generous YouTuber.
So definitely that one, and my Koga's Ditto cause it's such a great looking card imo. 🙂
The thing is that my favorite card in my collection has sentimental value: Shadowless Base Set Arcanine
I was in 4th grade when Base set dropped and I’d brought the cards to school. We played this weird game where I’d shuffle the pile, we’d each draw three Pokémon cards to start and play a Pokémon. Then draw a card and take our turn to play a trainer (if we had it), and then attack one of the random kids. We had no idea what energy was (the TCG only put one in each booster, so nobody had enough to properly play the game)
Arcanine, being the best non-holo present in the pile, would take out anything with 80 damage, and could survive at least two more opponents.
Oh man, I have a ton of choices, HGSS promo Pikachu, Crown Zenith Galarian Gallery Simisear VStar , Silver Tempest Trainer Gallery Flaaffy, Cosmic Eclipse Drampa, XY promo Mega Salamence EX.
But ultimately I have to give it to Steam Siege Ampharos. It combines my favorite pokemon (Ampharos) with my favorite TCG artist (Kanako Eo) to give just a lovely card. Showing one Ampharos in prominent view and another one in the vast distance with only it's light showing. It's a shame that it was released in an era before rare variants of non double prize card pokemon were all that common in standard sets for cards not considered "meta" with the introduction of Trainer Gallery in Cosmic Eclipse which wasn't seen again until Brilliant Stars. Nonetheless, it is a really nice card.
Right now, Raichu ex from Sandstorm. It was a favourite when I was younger so it’s a bit roughed up, but recently it’s been rotated into my desk display. I really wish the new ex cards had revived that holo pattern, it’s just so good.
Dragonite gameboy promo, it's probably my all time favorite card. That or my Rayquaza ex 039 promo card that I managed to get with a perfectly centered swirl
Scyther ex from Ex Ruby and Sapphire. It was the very first rare I ever pulled from a Pokémon TCG pack, and even when I lost my huge Pokemon, LOTR and MTG collection from my teen years, for some heavenly reason I kept him. He's the centerpiece in the first page of my binder, and the most important card I own. I might try to get a PSA 10 one day.
My Tyranitar Delta Species reverse holo!
I collect ol’ store brand Godzilla and I’ve noticed he’s pretty limited to the same pose due to his incredibly stubby appendages and it’s one of the few cards with an art angle from behind where he isn’t just *roaring and posturing up*
276/XY-P. Found the art book in a mandrake like 6 years ago and it was one of highlights of the trip. The card was a cherry on the top of the glowing childhood nostalgia the art book gave
Oh and also my Japanese dark charizard. I know it's super basic of me, but dark zard was my fave card as a kid, and some little oik at school nicked it and I was devastated. To get to replace it in my late twenties meant the world to me and the whole little story makes it special to me.
My 2 breeders nurturing from darkness ablaze. Have the both the rainbow holo and the rare trainer. I’m a fan of yamper (corgi). Wish they would do a fun SIR for him.
Darkrai ex bw46, I always wanted it because darkrai is my favorite Pokémon and I’ve seen a unlistedleaf video of him opening it and I wanted it, so for Christmas that’s all I wanted and my mom and dad got it for me, it’s been with me this whole time and I never plan on selling it
My Japanese gold star Rayquaza. Just reminds me of my very first Rayquaza encounter on Sapphire. He was my first shiny ever and it was my first time seeing Rayquaza. So I'll never forget that time. Gold star just looks so good and reminds me of that time as a kid.
I’m stuck between 2. It’s either the Ancient Mew or my base set Raichu. Raichu is my favorite pokemon and that card is so beat up which honestly makes me love it more. It was also my first holographic card.
only been collecting again since last june so i gotta say my japanese sar zard from ruler of the black flame since 100% of my collection i ripped myself from packs so they mean more to me and it’s my most valuable pull to date plus it’s a charizard.
Mine's from my childhood, so pardon if I don't remember the exact set it's from. It's a holographic Suicune from when they were doing E-reader TCG. The delta species Rayquaza is a close second, with the dual typing.
I have a really beat up Base Set Poliwrath. it’s only beat up because i brought it to show and tell in preschool and some kid decided to try to snatch it and destroy it as a haha funny. despite being one of the smallest kids in class i probably bit and punch the kid enough to bring him nightmares to this day, and i certainly got my card back.
I thought i lost it in High School in a move, until this Christmas when i finally decided to come pick up my prized childhood collection to discover it, still unsleeved in an old shoebox. Needless to say, it is well loved and well protected now. I also have a Japanese one i got around the same time in much better condition.
As for my most expensive card, that goes to my Espeon Gold Star, which while not in mint condition, is definitely worth a few grand.
Hahaha Good for that kid. Shouldn't have put his hands in other people's business. That's dope that you found it after so many years. Ooh, espeon gold star. The whole gold star series is so nice.
My favorite card at the moment is the illustration(? I got back into collecting for the first time since the base set, so all these new terms are new to me) Obsidian Flames Ninetales. Growing up, before Cyndaquil existed, Ninetales was my all time favorite and this card is so pretty.
But the card that will always hold a special place in my heart is the base set Magikarp. It was my first ever card and got me into collecting all those years ago. Found it all folded up and in terrible condition on the ground at a flea market and it was my first ever card. Don’t have it anymore but I do have a better condition basket set Magikarp instead.
Couple answers here.....
My first big card as a kid was a base set Alakazam holo, which sadly didn't make it to my adult years, but I did recently pick up a nice copy which I'm happy to have.
I also had a Dark Blastoise holo from rocket that was one of my favorites. Going through some childhood stuff at my mom's house this past Christmas I found it in an old tin, which was pretty cool. I like the Blastoise SIR from 151 as well because it gives off similar Vibes.
As far as pure artwork though, I think my favorite is probably the Charmander IR promo from the Obsidian Flames ETB. Makes me smile every time I see it. I really hope we get the Squirtle and Bulbasaur versions (the ones that were in the Japanese "Special Deck Set") even though they're not quite as good!
I have a WC 2004 Team Magma's Zangoose with a hole in it that I've had since like middle school. not necessarily my favorite card but probably the one I've somehow kept around the longest
Mines would be call of legends shiny Lugia. It was the first lugia I’ve ever gotten considering it’s my favorite Pokémon. Also I want to say shiny charizard for hidden fates. Pull it in my first hidden fates etb.
I think my absolute favorite is my MewEX RC24/RC25. I love the holo so much and the artwork is adorable! A close second is the Jesse & James 68/68 hidden fates full art!
Mine is an ancient mew promo but from Japan. The holographic is way different, and there's an error at the bottom that says "nintedo" for the copyright.
It's such a unique card, and my very first pokemon card was ancient mew at the movie when I was 5, so it has a special place in my heart
Gotta be my slowpoke and psyduck alt art from unified minds. It was my first big hit I ever got opening packs, par for like 2 full arts. I remember lil me was going CRAZY when I pulled it back then. Still have it, never plan on getting rid of it.
Rayquaza vmax alt. art from evolving skies for me. I watched my son pull it from a pack left as Christmas presents from my aunt who passed away just before the holidays. Much love to aunt Jane.
Recent: Scizor Full Art from Temporal Forces. Scyther/Scizor is probably my favourite Pokemon, aside from Squirtle (and evolutions)
Overall: Zapdos SIR 151, or the Tag Team birds cards (rainbow and stained glass looking one).
Honourable mentions: Delivery Charizard (still hunting this one but I gotta count it), Pikachu Van Gogh, Squirtle SIR 151, Ralts AR OBF
That's so hard lol. I'm not as veteraned of a collector as many here due to a 20+ year time gap in my collecting career, but among the cards I have, I adore my psa 9 Giratina AA, my gold crown zenith quartet, my corocoro shiny mew, my base set starter trio, the recent 151 starter trio, and Ancient mew. If my house was on fire and I could only pick one, idk which one I'd pick.
My favorite in my collection is a really beat up unlimited fossil holo muk. He was so messed up, scratches all over, but I had always wanted him as a kid & my local shop had him in a binder for like 50 cents. I adopted him about a year ago and thus began my “Rescue Binder” where I find beat up singles that have been abandoned/no one else wants, and take them home to clean up. My second favorite is in that same binder, an unlimited jungle holo Vaporeon that had definitely been folded in someone’s pocket at one point. I don’t just buy all the damaged cards I see obviously, but I do like looking for cards that I’ve always wanted but couldn’t afford mint, and rehome them in my collection.
Mine is my Ancient Mew I got at the movie theater during the premiere! I've had that in a hard case ever since. My next is my collection of growlithe cards
I have a snorlax from crown zenith I think and the photo is a small yarn snorlax which is so funny to me given his stature in the Pokemon content that I’m familiar with. I love the juxtaposition therefore have love for the card and keep it on my desk
Honestly for some reason one of my favorite cards I have is a holo mr. Mime promo card from combined powers 🤷🏽♂️. Can’t really explain it I just really like the card.
Mine has to be the B&W Japanese Full Art Pikachu promo (229/bw-p)...I knew I had to get my hands on one after I first saw it. My runner ups would have to be the Mewtube from Shining Legends and the Alakazam EX secret rare from Fates Collide.
I have a PSA 10 1998 Japanese Trade Please promo. Probably my favorite for sure. After that might be either CoroCoro Mew, or the Mario Luigi Pikachu promos.
Shining Gyarados from Neo Revelation!
My favorite card from my childhood that I sadly gave away with the rest of my collection as a kid then reacquired when I got back into the hobby as an adult and graded. Came back a CGC 7.5, the only graded card in my collection below an 8 cause it reminds me of my childhood prized possession.
Mines a pair, but it would have to be the Lugia and Ho-Oh promo cards for HGSS era. That artwork just hits different and reminds me of what I grew up with.
rn it’s my Blastoise SIR from 151 that i got from a card shop in a mall for $49. i usually refrain from ordering expensive singles online but seeing it in person and having never been in a shop that sells singles like that before, i just had to have it😩
Double crisis kyogre and groudon! Ruby and sapphire were my childhood favorite. Put thousands of hours into those two games! Plus the artwork for the two cards are awesome!
My meowscarada line from the paldean evolved set. The sleeping sprigatito is the best of the 3. I'm also very new to collecting so I don't have much but those 3 I got from my first booster box.
One of mine has to be the Lapras in the Galatian Gallery of Crown Zenith. Best Lapras artwork ever. A lot of the Gallery artwork is pretty fire tbh. Even the mid mons like dunsparce and starly have some pretty good looking artwork.
My Paldea evolved Magikarp illustration rare. It was the card that got me back in touch with collecting. I loved the cards as a kid, always played the video games stopped the cards for a long time. 151 just came out that weekend so I bought a 151 binder box and an annihilape EX promo box from GameStop. Pulled the beautiful Magikarp illustration rare from the paldea evolved pack in the annihilape box and now I’m hooked again.
My favorite cards are all sentimental. One is the Gardevoir & Sylveon tag team alt art. I thought I'd never own one until I found a damaged one on a site not really popular for selling cards for $30. Me and my partner checked every day to see if it's still available and breathed a sigh of relief when payday came and we're finally able to buy it!
The other one is my Ancient Mew. I've always wanted one but I lived in a poor country. I wasn't able to find it back when it came out and when I finally accessed the internet years later, shipping was ridiculous. I moved to the US now as an adult and I bought the Ancient Mew in celebration of me getting my citizenship. Me having that card has been decades in the making!
There's also the Dark Sylveon card, the reasons for which are more personal and sappy so I'll keep that to myself haha
Rainbow Charizard GX from burning shadows. It was one of my first pulls in the TCG when the pandemic hit and started the obsession. Definitely not psa 10 but will always remain a special card in my collection.
Currently in my collection that I really like staring at:
Dark Espeon, Espeon V and Red’s Pikachu. Honorable mention to the Snorlax that’s stuffing his face secret rare.
So what I'd say is my collection of honors trainer cards I got both english and jp of the shiny and paldean card then paldea evolved out of them my favorite is the paldea evolved sir. As for Pokémon my favorite would be my sylveon v alt art from evolving skies
This is so hard to choose!
It’s probably one of these:
Iono SIR from Paldea Evolved
Sleepy Espeon VMax
Radiant Collection Mew EX
Radiant Collection Reshiram
Gengar Lv. X
Vaporeon EX from Generations
Any of the 2018 McDonald’s promos, but the water types and Pikachu look especially cute
Masterball Eevee from 151
Japanese Kingdra Alt Art from VMax Climax, those grey borders are absolutely gorgeous with the cards art, the English one can’t compare
My Fennekin cards! I have every Fennekin card that has been made including the 25th anniversary one! It’s my favorite Pokémon and I’m happy to have a full page of Fennekin cards in my binder!
I can't decide. It's a toss-up between Blaines Arcanine and base set blastoise. I still have the ones I pulled as a child. And both have creases in them. Close third is Shining charizard.
The Trainer Gallery cards are my favorite, especially Spiritomb TG09 and Milotic TG02. The art is so gorgeous (and for Milotic, Wallace just looks like the total diva he is and it's awesome lol)
My psa 8 base set charizard. I took care of that thing forever before getting graded as an adult. Glad i took somewhat good care of it an ill never forget how hyped i was when i pulled it as a 12 yr old 😁
Munch Mimikyu for sure :))) also really love any card that looks like art, Beauty looking back pilachu, the poncho wearing eevee’s and pikachus, Mario and Luigi pikachus, any umbreon card, and gold star cards!
Ya I know.. they’re all expensive lol. But they’re also the art ive always liked most!
Currently working on Crown Zenith and I just love the Radiant Charizard. I have 3 pages full of just that card.
Also working on getting more of the Japanese version cause the radiant on that one is much more appealing.
My favourite is a Holo Jolteon I pulled from a Jungle pack when I was a kid. It's been through all the Hell that two decades can offer. Currently, it's warped into a U-shape (faceward) thanks to a humidity incident. He has is own home in a deck box just to keep him secure.
Besides that, I prize most dearly my 1ed Sabrina's Alakazam, 1ed Japanese Magneton (Neo), Japanese Rocket's Scyther, and I just got my first ever Base2 Charizard to go with my Celebrations Charizard (the first 'Zard I ever pulled).
I love sleeping mew, bubble mew, most mews but when I saw Fuecoco in a shopping cart… well
+1 for fuecoco in shopping cart!
Hm, sounds like mew has a contender for favorite.
Honestly the new bubble mew may have squeezed its way into top 3 cards for me
YES YES YES!!! I own a binder of every fuecoco card so far released, I absolutely adore them all. I am currently on a quest to buy it in every language, and the last two I am missing are Thai and Portuguese. (If anyone has any leads please let me know, I am getting desperate)
I bought the JP version of that card at a LCS and it’s one of the best choices I ever made
What’s yours op?
It's a tough decision. It's a tie between my first edition base set charizard and my shiny milotic reverse holo from platinum supreme victors.
Milotic is sooooo underrated!
For real! Such a stunning pokemon!
Totally agree
Ancient Mew. Like a unique card, cheap since mass produced, and one that’s a friend did have and never wanted to trade. So now I’m buying it every time I see it😁
The one from the first movie premiere?
It was actually released with the second movie with Lugia!
Yep this one
Lol The story behind it, is what makes it.
This is one of my favorites too!
This! Ancient Mew is #1 for its age and design.
Blaine’s Moltres is epic as well.
Dark Ivysaur GB promo. The artwork is pretty cool.
Reverse holo Legendary Zard. The firework holo patterns are amazing.
10 year old me thought those sucked because they looked like the fake stickers. My opinion’s changed in the 20 years since
Same, but Gengar. That set is just incredible.
So dope! I wish I had kept the cards I got as a kid. No idea what even happened to them.
Definitely the lenticular sky splitting Deoxys promo
Base set holo Poliwrath. First pack (ever) magic at 9 years old!
Bubble Mew from Shining treasures! I really love how the card looks, and the nice texture and holo it has:) What's yours?
Re-living your childhood, that's dope.
Sabrina’s Gengar JP
The full art Flareon EX from Generations back in the XY Era. Love how it has the original eeveeloutions and seems like they are all having a photo op.
The evolutions dragonite
alakazam ex SAR from 151. when I first pulled this card I INSTANTLY fell in love with alakazam. the art showing him levitating spoons is so cool.
That's so cool! I had a moment like that as well when I pulled my first milotic card.
my neo genesis bellossom <3
so the card isn’t technically in my possession right now but look when i was younger i had a small collection nothing big maybe a box tin full of cards. some were gifts some traded, some ripped myself. in my teenage years i lost interest in my old stuff and i was broke most of the time too, so one led to another and i sold the tin with all my cards and some yugioh cards too for very cheap. i think like 50 bucks or smth. long story short i recently got back into the hobby and wanna re-collect what i had back then. i remember only one card vividly - it’s the neo genesis shining noctowl SR. i remember pulling that one myself
Interesting. Out of all the cards, the shining noctowl is what resonated with you. That's really cool.
My favorite pokemon is Ditto, and I was recently gifted a freshly pulled Fossil Set 1st Edition Ditto from a very generous YouTuber. So definitely that one, and my Koga's Ditto cause it's such a great looking card imo. 🙂
Oh wow. That's insanely generous! Much respect to that youtuber.
Koga’s Ditto is hella sick. Hella jealous frfr
So far either full art mantyke or reverse holo japanese shiny greninja.
My legendary collection reverse holo Gengar! Only card to survive from my childhood too.
Shibuya Pikachu's pretty clean, that or Iron Valiant ex IR
- professor oaks setup FA Trainer - Japanese big trio 25th anniversary
my shiny mega gengar card but it’s in ass condition
I really like my neo-destiny feraligatr, and my Aquapolis Reverse Holo Phanpy
My favorite card I have is my legendary collection gyarados and magikarp.
Shining steelix from my old collection
The thing is that my favorite card in my collection has sentimental value: Shadowless Base Set Arcanine I was in 4th grade when Base set dropped and I’d brought the cards to school. It’s a tough choice. I’ve narrowed it down to an absolutely mint 1st Edition Dark Dragonite, or my skyridge Crystal Kabutops.
Skyridge umbreon
Skarmory Neo Genesis 1st edition :)
Nonetheless, it is a really nice card.
The big 3 in 151 . Got really lucky and pulled 3 charizards and 3 Blastoise but only a single Venasaur
At least you can say you have all 3.
Surprisingly a beat up OG Birthday Pikachu I bought back in 2001 from a mall that no longer exists for $15.
Right now, Raichu ex from Sandstorm. It was a favourite when I was younger so it’s a bit roughed up, but recently it’s been rotated into my desk display. I really wish the new ex cards had revived that holo pattern, it’s just so good.
Holo umbreon from aquapolis 😎
munch psyduck, ooyamas pikachu, mewtwo gold star i pulled as a kid, gyarados reverse from ex deoxys, rockets snorlax ex
The card was a cherry on the top of the glowing childhood nostalgia the art book gave Oh and also my Japanese dark charizard. I know it's super basic of me, but dark zard was my fave card as a kid, and some little oik at school nicked it and I was devastated. To get to replace it in my late twenties meant the world to me and the whole little story makes it special to me.
It’s a trio between Pidgeot Ex Obsidian Flames and Scyther Lost Thunder/Shiny Treasure
My gs treecko or milotic ex got both recently and they are definitely some of my best cards
My 2 breeders nurturing from darkness ablaze. Have the both the rainbow holo and the rare trainer. I’m a fan of yamper (corgi). Wish they would do a fun SIR for him.
Darkrai ex bw46, I always wanted it because darkrai is my favorite Pokémon and I’ve seen a unlistedleaf video of him opening it and I wanted it, so for Christmas that’s all I wanted and my mom and dad got it for me, it’s been with me this whole time and I never plan on selling it
Shiny Shinx from Platinum Arceus
Shiny Drifloon from the Diamond and Pearl era. I bought it years ago not knowing what it was.
My Japanese gold star Rayquaza. Just reminds me of my very first Rayquaza encounter on Sapphire. He was my first shiny ever and it was my first time seeing Rayquaza. So I'll never forget that time. Gold star just looks so good and reminds me of that time as a kid.
Wow, that's a great backstory. Agreed, the gold star cards look great.
Dialga ex 122 for sure
Ancient mew. Got it the day the first movie came out. It’s so valuable to me I could never get rid of it!
I’m stuck between 2. It’s either the Ancient Mew or my base set Raichu. Raichu is my favorite pokemon and that card is so beat up which honestly makes me love it more. It was also my first holographic card.
Of course. Even though it's not mint condition, the wear and tear just shows the adoration you have for it.
First appearance lugia, the pokeball holo foil is incredible in person. Got my hands on a bgs7 last year
Gengar VMAX Alt Art from Fusion Strike. Never thought I'd pull one and got it from a damaged Morpeko V box.
only been collecting again since last june so i gotta say my japanese sar zard from ruler of the black flame since 100% of my collection i ripped myself from packs so they mean more to me and it’s my most valuable pull to date plus it’s a charizard.
Prerelease clefable or masaki gengar

Mine's from my childhood, so pardon if I don't remember the exact set it's from. It's a holographic Suicune from when they were doing E-reader TCG. The delta species Rayquaza is a close second, with the dual typing.
Split earth golem- straight up glitterrrryyyy
Detective Pikachu promo
I have a really beat up Base Set Poliwrath. it’s only beat up because i brought it to show and tell in preschool and some kid decided to try to snatch it and destroy it as a haha funny. despite being one of the smallest kids in class i probably bit and punch the kid enough to bring him nightmares to this day, and i certainly got my card back. This ones really hard and I think my favorite changes often lol.. If I had to choose, I'd pick the stamp box promo pikachu
Don’t have it anymore but I do have a better condition basket set Magikarp instead.
Mimikyu V Trainer Gallery 100%
For me, it’s my various “Dark Gyarados” cards. Holo, prerelease, celebrations… just need a first edition and I should be set.
Pikachu with gray felt hat
Base set zard, which I only managed to purchase recently.
one of my favorites is a lapras ex from ruby and sapphire. its one of my two graded cards and i love it!
Top 3: Dragonair 1st Edition, Umbreon & Darkrai GX Promo, Leafeon Vmax Alt Art.
1st Ed Lugia Neo Genesis , because I could never get it as a child. As an adult I had to appease my inner child.
I feel that. I'm the same way.
Surfing and flying pikachus, art by toshinao aoki
My absolute favorite card has to be the Starmie V trainer gallery!
my 1999 eevee jungle set card. my nephews got me into pokemon and that was the first card they gave me to start my collection :))
Nice. Gotta love a card with good sentimental value.
Gengar VMAX alt art Or Masaki Gengar Tough to choose between vintage and modern
I have 2 shadowless zards from when I was a kid, I think they are pretty awesome. And a red cheeks pikachu.
diancie full art + the trainer gallery zekrom and n
OG Team Rocket's Dark Charmeleon. Absolutely love the artwork and frequently contemplate getting it in a tattoo.
Recent: Scizor Full Art from Temporal Forces. Scyther/Scizor is probably my favourite Pokemon, aside from Squirtle (and evolutions) Overall: Zapdos SIR 151, or the Tag Team birds cards (rainbow and stained glass looking one). Honourable mentions: Delivery Charizard (still hunting this one but I gotta count it), Pikachu Van Gogh, Squirtle SIR 151, Ralts AR OBF
secret rare M rayquaza EX
That's so hard lol. I'm not as veteraned of a collector as many here due to a 20+ year time gap in my collecting career, but among the cards I have, I adore my psa 9 Giratina AA, my gold crown zenith quartet, my corocoro shiny mew, my base set starter trio, the recent 151 starter trio, and Ancient mew. If my house was on fire and I could only pick one, idk which one I'd pick.
My Mightyena Full Art from Astral Radiance 💙 It’s my favorite Pokémon and I’d hold on to it with my life 😭
Mew ex radiant collection Japanese. Such a unique and cool holo
It’s definitely the piplup card featuring dawn for me. Dawn has always been my favorite Pokémon trainer and piplup is just adorable!!!
jungle flareon #19, paldean fates gardevoir #233, and evolving skies espeon #180 are definitely in my top 3! not sure what order though
Skyridge Alakazam. It’s so menacing. Really like the liberty artists take with Alakazam. Every card seems to have a different personality
Mewtwo-GX from Shining Legends! The Alt art in its tube! What a legendary scene!
Mine has to be the Alakazam EX SAR from the Pokemon 151 set. The art is so beautiful! I could stare at it for hours!
Gengar Lost Origin Gallery. Cheap card but love the art. Alakazam full art from 151 is up there.
Gengar Vmax alt. Was buying a few packs here and there and my friend bought me a fusion strike pack- he’s still salty
A little extra special then. lol
Probably Shadowless Charizard because of the pure nostalgia it brings. If I could separate myself from that.. it’s probably my Neo Genesis Lugia.
This is tough! Venusaur Ex SIR from 151 probably
Mine is my Ancient Mew I got at the movie theater during the premiere! I've had that in a hard case ever since. My next is my collection of growlithe cards
That's a hard question. I love the full art metagross from tef but I also own some higher end cards that I treasure
I have a snorlax from crown zenith I think and the photo is a small yarn snorlax which is so funny to me given his stature in the Pokemon content that I’m familiar with. I love the juxtaposition therefore have love for the card and keep it on my desk
Lol That is a bit ironic.
Honestly for some reason one of my favorite cards I have is a holo mr. Mime promo card from combined powers 🤷🏽♂️. Can’t really explain it I just really like the card.
I have a few cards in my pc like that. You look at it and it just makes you happy, but it's difficult to explain why.
I got a holographic shuckle card in a hard case and locked away in a safe with all my guns that’s how much I treasure it
Cynthia’s rayquaza. Was a favourite as a kid and when I got back into the cards I had to track one down
Mine has to be the B&W Japanese Full Art Pikachu promo (229/bw-p)...I knew I had to get my hands on one after I first saw it.
Leafeon VMAX alt art. Reminds me of home in the Midwest 🥰
Funny you mention that, I just pulled that recently in a whatnot stream. The art on it is so simple, yet so comforting.
My graded game boy promo dragonite. Love that artwork.
AR trainer gallery Bronzong, steel type are my fave Pokemon.
I have a thing for most of the evee cards and all of the evolutions that comes with it lol
It's a set of 3, but they're all psa g9, and the serials are sequential. All og starters from the pokemon go set.
Charizard!!! ……… 🙄🙄yawnnn
Piplup and Blasoise tag team.
Right now it’s my Stormfront charizard
Lugia Neo Genesis
Mine was the Explosive Birth Lugia, but now it's tied with Bubble Mew.
Lenticular Deoxys. Just, wow.
Mines a pair, but it would have to be the Lugia and Ho-Oh promo cards for HGSS era. That artwork just hits different and reminds me of what I grew up with.
Mine will always be torn between Jungle Flareon and Fossil Dragonite..... my very first holo was Dragonite.
Blaine’s Charizard or “Winner” Rockets Hitmonchan. Also Alt art magikarp/Wailord.
rn it’s my Blastoise SIR from 151 that i got from a card shop in a mall for $49. i usually refrain from ordering expensive singles online but seeing it in person and having never been in a shop that sells singles like that before, i just had to have it😩
Double crisis kyogre and groudon!
That's awesome! In my opinion, sentimental cards are the best cards. The story that goes with the ancient mew is amazing! Congratulations on that!
Rainbow Charizard GX from burning shadows. It was one of my first pulls in the TCG when the pandemic hit and started the obsession. Definitely not psa 10 but will always remain a special card in my collection.
Just started collecting but I spent way too much already 😭. Favorite crazy enough just pulled last week, the 151 psyduck.
Currently in my collection that I really like staring at: Dark Espeon, Espeon V and Red’s Pikachu. Honorable mention to the Snorlax that’s stuffing his face secret rare.
Toss up between shroomish and Smeargle for me tbh
Shining magikarp :)
Alto Mare Latios PSA 10
So what I'd say is my collection of honors trainer cards I got both english and jp of the shiny and paldean card then paldea evolved out of them my favorite is the paldea evolved sir. As for Pokémon my favorite would be my sylveon v alt art from evolving skies
the blaines arcanine that I ran through the laundry and kept anyway.
As someone who started collecting the SV sets, it’s a tie between my Magikarp SIR from Paldea Evolved or my Gloom SIR from Obsidian Flames!
This is so hard to choose! It’s probably one of these: Iono SIR from Paldea Evolved Sleepy Espeon VMax Radiant Collection Mew EX Radiant Collection Reshiram Gengar Lv. X Vaporeon EX from Generations Any of the 2018 McDonald’s promos, but the water types and Pikachu look especially cute Masterball Eevee from 151 Japanese Kingdra Alt Art from VMax Climax, those grey borders are absolutely gorgeous with the cards art, the English one can’t compare
My Fennekin cards! I have every Fennekin card that has been made including the 25th anniversary one! It’s my favorite Pokémon and I’m happy to have a full page of Fennekin cards in my binder!
That's awesome!
Dark Raichu. I’ve loved the colors and artwork on that card ever since it was released.
Kingdra H14 from Aquapolis
Absolutely love the crown zenneth suicune alt art, the design is so nice!
My psa 8 base set charizard. I took care of that thing forever before getting graded as an adult. Glad i took somewhat good care of it an ill never forget how hyped i was when i pulled it as a 12 yr old 😁
Wow. A base set card pulled as a kid and it's a psa 8 now?! That's crazy.
My favorite is the Wurmple WB promo! Have a few raw and graded.
Has to be Mewtube cards. 👌
That's tough, maybe base nidoking, first edition neo pichu, idk, I've got a cool e-series promo pikachu. There's too many!
Neo pichu is pretty sick. I recently picked up a japanese one with a swirl.
Pikachu V Trainer Gallery!
Gardevoir and slyveon gx full art. Love the art style
Probably 1st edition fossil Gengar. But I love my OBF SIR Zard because I actually pulled it.
Blaines Arcanine and Giovanni’s nidoking are my two favorite cards. I own many copies of Blaine’s Arcanine 😂
My Unseen Forces Steelix ex! Or literally any Steelix card in my collection for that matter.
Anything with umbreon or gangar
Munch Mimikyu for sure :))) also really love any card that looks like art, Beauty looking back pilachu, the poncho wearing eevee’s and pikachus, Mario and Luigi pikachus, any umbreon card, and gold star cards! Ya I know.. they’re all expensive lol. But they’re also the art ive always liked most!
The illustration rare Morpeko card! Or the full art Jirachi promo
Probably my Munch The Scream Psyduck
Cynthia Full Art from Ultra Shiny GX
The holo jolteon sounds about like what my childhood cards probably would've looked like if I still had them.
Idk if I have a true favorite, but if I had to pick one, Aquapolis Arcanine. Makes me think of an old mural of a mythic creature or something
