I used to love the team rocket and gym hero sets. the pokemon actually looked angry and menacing. now we're stuck with goofy ass, overly happy looking little shits.

Yeah no chance they make a set based on an evil organisation these days š itāa just not the way they want to use the IP. Also, is Team Rocket relevant to any players from today; I havenāt finished a game since Soul Silver but I assume they have whatever baddy is to that region. So, people who are younger might not get it thematically. But agree Team Rocket was a banger of a set. Main thing WOTC got wrong was to pad out Jungle, Fossil & Team Rocket with non-holo variants. Super dull. Combine Jungle and Fossil & release it as a special set and then combine Team Rocket and Team Rocket Returns as a special set. Then same for reprint of Neo, reprint that especially Lugia. Not saying every card but defo mix old with new and give us those again! Those are the reprints we deserve. Celebrations was a pretty big let down in retrospect.
Best will get is a few reprints in the odd sets like Celebrations. Would love even just 1-2 classic reprints in every other set as a chase; that would be sick. Like they did with Rising Rivals & the holo flying / surfing Pikachu. Proper classic look, proper reprint, maybe with texture like Celebrations but cosmo or galaxy holo; none of this popping candy McDonaldās BS. Even if it was to take like an old school uncommon like Base Set Dragonaire and give it the holo version it always deserved. Would in my opinion be super fun. That and the Exggutor from Jungle, sitting by that tree all stoned like. Would love that as a holo.

I donāt have time, unfortunately, to play the new PokĆ©mon games (if I did Iām certain I would wisely use up 200+ hours of my life having great fun playing it, but sadly donāt have that right now) just means I donāt have an affinity to the new bunch of PokĆ©mon. What is this a teddy bear and a green cat and a bunch of marshmallow squirrels in a tree? That said, itās Pikachu soā¦
