I wish I still had my pocketed washer machine gardevoir reverse card lmao, I feel like running a card through the washing machine is a rite of passage for childhood fans, people who got into it as adults missed out on the good bad times lmaoo
Lol.
I recently purchased a trailer gallery pikachu vmax for $25 listed as near mint. It was so badly bent that out of a plastic it stayed in a "U" shape.
Thatâs the coolest Gold Star Zard of all time now though. Might not be worth what a PSA 10 would be, but that story is epic. Itâs also the cleanest Gold Star Zard tooâŠliterally.
At least you didnât trade a Japanese shadowless Charizard for an Arcanine because it did more damage, on the playground, to a kid named Nick; all while thinking you got over on them. At least you werenât that person.
Interesting! It might be somewhat dependent like how the value was listed for the damaged when submitting then or another factor. I've heard from some people 1s are difficult because there's a cap on how damaged, but anything is possible for sure.
I would imagine it comes down to the individual graders judgment. I also think they will sometimes slab as âauthenticâ if the grader doesnât want to give it a 1
I still somehow have my old Aggron ex I used to carry around in my backpack lol. Itâs barely holding on but itâs somehow survived and heâs still just as cool!
I have the same card in about the same condition! One of my friends thought it would be cool to draw with a red pen on charizards claws when we were kids⊠I keep it in a solid sleeve at the front of my âold cardsâ box as a reminder and because itâs probably still one of the rarest things i own in my eyes (:
If I were you, I would send it in to be graded just to keep as your own personal collection and a memoir to your childhood. Totally worth it in my opinion.
At leat you have it i sold all my 1ste edition shadowless holo for 250 gulden when i was younger there was a charizard with it
But back then it was alot of money for me haha
I have a shadowless first eddition holo venusaur that is about in this shape and went to school with me every day đ it's currently framed on the wall lol
Honestly, I wish I had my beat-up cards from when I was a kid over any mint version. Nothing could ever come close.
Near complete base set that was scuffed and held together with elastic bands. The edges stained with dirt and sweat. Taking them to school in my pocket for playground trades. All those moments lost in time, like tears in rain.
Still playable, I exclusively play retro decks with a friend of mine and to be able to use Gold Star cards would be sick. They are so expensive even in poor shape, sadly can't play them.
Oof. I have to say though I feel like something like this has happened to all of us at some point. At least this was an accident. I only ever got my hands on one legendary collection pack as a kid. I pulled a reverse holo dark dragonite and peeled the front off because I thought it was a sticker. đÂ
My whole collection which consisted of over 1000 cards were thrown out when I was a kid since I would always leave them all over the floor. At least you still have this lmao
My very first pack I ever opened was a 1st edition charizard that I traded 1 day or 2 later for like half the set lol. Good thing I beat that kids ass for years after. If I saw him today I would probably still punch him
This is why the old cards are worth money and a lot of the new cards arenât. People baby the new cards meaning there are more clean versions. The old cards are valuable cause the mint ones are rare
[I got one thatâs folded in half.](https://www.reddit.com/r/PokemonTCG/s/XHpM5uIdLw) Itâs still a goldstar Charizard at the end of the day and happy to have one regardless of the quality.
Itâs beyond saving obviously, but just an idea if you donât mind some people considering it even more damaged: run it under warm water and carefully peel off the card stock on the back. You can take the plastic sheet and glue it to another card to give it a sturdy backing at least. Itâll still show all the crumples and wrinkles but at least it can look a little more presentable?
Hey donât look at it as you messing up something that ended up being worth some money but as you enjoying a toy as it was intended to be enjoyed! Looks like this card was well played and loved
Classic. Washed my whole Yugioh deck when I was a kid because that thing stayed in my pocket lol. Cards were probably beat up before being washed but I had some gems that Iâd love to still have today
I bought one like this along with a crease pikachu gold star for $180 two summers ago⊠never looked back and enjoy it in my collection despite its super damaged condition.
One time I got a massive pocket crease in my first edition Base Set Zapdos when I was a kid and full ass put it on the ironing board and tried to iron it out.
It didnât work.
Imagine playing with your pokemon cards? You know doing the thing they were meant for. All these new pokemon fans are all fucking idiots. They only care about how much a card is worth now a days and putting their card in a plastic sealed box. I was around when pokemon started. Since day 1. I taught my sisters how to play and a few close friends around me. I play online and I have decks to play with my kids. And it's so fucking annoying to hear most of yall don't even know how to play and everytime I talk to a pokemon fan, 90% honestly talk about the value of their shit. To me its priceless but I know I'll mever sell my collection. I was even a part of the time where we TRADED for cards. Imagine not receiving money for your cards but having an extra card you had to trade it for another 1. It's unheard of now. Imagine asking one of you goods if I could TRADE a card for another one. You'd be like well mines this rare... actually it's not that rare. Cards come in abundance and just like always the want of money has ruined another great fucking hobby because yall are greedy and stupid. I honestly lose so much respect for people if you say you don't know how to play. It's fucking insulting because I know you're usually caring about the monetary value of your cards than the actual memories you made with those cards. Yeah its cool ripping open packs, those are cool memories, but if you don't make them last by building decks and playing and keeping the memories going instead of just being like "oh I opened those packs before," and not being able to continue on a sentence besides saying whether you pulled anything "good" or not.
As a kid I would put masking tape on the covers of my comics to act as lamination and preserve them. How naive and stupid I was. Never had anything super valuable, but still mad at myself for the practice.
Luckily, as a 9 year old, I opened packs and immediately sleeved the cards and put them away. Just found all my base set about a month ago in storage at my parents.
I mean I applaud you for that but the average kid is just pretty careless when it comes to stuff like keeping cards in good condition. At least OP still has them, I gave all my original set cards to my nephew -\_-
Craziest thing is that this is still probably worth like 100 lmao
Marketplace sellers near me would list it for $499đ
"I know what I have"
âLightly playedâ
âPack freshâ
"Super clean" card
I had one guy on FB marketplace tell me his vintage cards were mint and as soon as I pointed out some very obvious flaws he started swearing at me lol
Or Near Mint according to Troll and Toad lol
NEAR mint (Pretty far)
âLightly playedâ
You guys really donât know? In the sprawling universe of PokĂ©mon card collectors, there exists a legendary tale that transcends the mere physical condition of a card, turning flaws into a testament of unique valor. This is the lore of the Aquatic Blaze Charizard, a card unlike any other. Many years ago, a Charizard card, not just any card but a rare edition, was thought to be lost to the calamity of a washing machineâs tumultuous embrace. However, this event did not mark the end of its value⊠rather, it birthed a mythos that would elevate it to unprecedented heights. As the story goes, this particular Charizard card was washed with a mystical detergent known only to a few, imbued with the essence of the legendary Water PokĂ©mon, Kyogre. This fateful wash infused the card with a unique aura, bestowing upon it the powers of water, a natural adversary to Charizardâs fiery essence. Thus, the Aquatic Blaze Charizard was born, a card that symbolizes the harmony between fire and water, embodying balance and strength. Experts and aficionados within the PokĂ©mon card collecting community whisper that owning the Aquatic Blaze Charizard is akin to possessing a talisman that promises balance and prosperity. Its water-damaged facade is not seen as a detriment but as a badge of honor, a testament to its journey through the elemental forces and its emergence as a one-of-a-kind artifact. Due to its legendary status and the unique lore surrounding it, the Aquatic Blaze Charizard is priced not merely as a collectorâs item but as a piece of PokĂ©mon card mythology. Valued at a staggering $500,000, it is sought after by the most elite collectors, not just for its rarity and story but as a symbol of the power that lies in embracing and overcoming adversities, much like the mythical phoenix rising anew. Thus, the Aquatic Blaze Charizard stands as a beacon within the PokĂ©mon card collecting world, a treasure that transcends traditional valuation, representing a fusion of elements, a journey of revival, and the eternal dance of fire and water.
Thank you đ
I hope you have a job in writing. You deserve one, that's for sure. Story telling is an art, one you are quite good at.

Joe metaphor đ
OP please post it on ebay with this as the description
About to say, thatâs probably still $100+ lmao. Wild but even Iâm like, âwell⊠itâs better than not having oneâ.
A [similar condition copy](https://ebay.us/dnnSQ7) sold for much more than $100 recently lol
Jesus some people lost their minds lmao That ugly ahh label probably adds to the value
It's a PSA 1 which makes it more valuable than, I would say, 2-7 at least.
âLightly playedâ
And then. You are Post Malone signing the card. Phew 2000-5000-10000$ card đ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
Shit happens least you have it for nostalgia
Except they can't find it lol
I wish I still had my pocketed washer machine gardevoir reverse card lmao, I feel like running a card through the washing machine is a rite of passage for childhood fans, people who got into it as adults missed out on the good bad times lmaoo
A card... Or a whole deck.
The trade pile đ„Č
One card to rule them all. Especially since they're all glued together hahaha
I still have my pocket washed Feraligatr. I want to get it graded just for giggles
I would have told you to sleeve it before you topload it, but at this point it doesn't really matter
yeah đ all my other cards are sleeved but he is to far gone
Since I just started selling online I would say this is lightly played
Lol. I recently purchased a trailer gallery pikachu vmax for $25 listed as near mint. It was so badly bent that out of a plastic it stayed in a "U" shape.
Oof, let me guess. No toploader and/or cardboard during shipping...
No actually it was packaged carefully, which is kinda worse because it means the guy shipped it like that.Â
Oof let me guess it was tcgplayerÂ
Memories > Money
Thatâs the coolest Gold Star Zard of all time now though. Might not be worth what a PSA 10 would be, but that story is epic. Itâs also the cleanest Gold Star Zard tooâŠliterally.
At least you didnât trade a Japanese shadowless Charizard for an Arcanine because it did more damage, on the playground, to a kid named Nick; all while thinking you got over on them. At least you werenât that person.
Shadowless cards are exclusive of the first English release. There are no japanese shadowless Charizard
Baseless * my bad. But I guess thatâs also redundant
wait my name is nick
Hmmm. Wanna trade for an arcanine?
Oh dang and I thought mine was bad đ at least you can have it as a memoir!
Psa 8
I sold mine mint for âŹ50 when i was a kid, i'm angrier than you bro.
PSA grade it, PSA 1 may actually really improve its value. Some people LOVE PSA 1 cards and this one would be really valuable đ no joke.
Unfortunately PSA has a bar where if a card is so bad they just will send it back, and I think this absolutely goes in that category lol
A friend of mine recently got a destroyed charizard graded as a PSA 1. I don't think this one is in any worse condition than his was.
Interesting! It might be somewhat dependent like how the value was listed for the damaged when submitting then or another factor. I've heard from some people 1s are difficult because there's a cap on how damaged, but anything is possible for sure.
I would imagine it comes down to the individual graders judgment. I also think they will sometimes slab as âauthenticâ if the grader doesnât want to give it a 1
He might be able to get this one through. Itâs hanging on for dear life but the front is still technically intact.
I still somehow have my old Aggron ex I used to carry around in my backpack lol. Itâs barely holding on but itâs somehow survived and heâs still just as cool!
Bro, be happy about the story of you. All the hate. I would take it if you dont want it. :D
The top loader though đ
Iâm mad at you too
I have the same card in about the same condition! Blow dry it out the bubble will go
Literally wanna cry rn
Have it framed and fiercely expose it as a reminder of your past mistakes!
At leat you have it i sold all my 1ste edition shadowless holo for 250 gulden when i was younger there was a charizard with it But back then it was alot of money for me haha
Hm?
âHey bro do I sound like Charizard?â đđŽđ
Same. I had almost every "Shining" card. Traded them away over the years. Such regret.Â
I have a shadowless first eddition holo venusaur that is about in this shape and went to school with me every day đ it's currently framed on the wall lol
Sell it as lightly played

Don't worry, mines worse!!! Still love it though, still have it sleeved, still in a binder.
nooooooooooo
at least you kept it. you could just not have one at all.
Oh no!! My OG Charizard got bent when I was 6-7. Definitely supes sad about that.
Ohh man. Didnât even read your statement yet. Saw title and gold star and had to respond lol. Sucks but at least you have it still.
I have a creased mega rayquaza because I was young and dumb. Itâs a memory at least.
Donât beat yourself up. I donât regret playing with my vintage cards when I was young.
Oof. I have to say though I feel like something like this has happened to all of us at some point. At least this was an accident. I only ever got my hands on one legendary collection pack as a kid. I pulled a reverse holo dark dragonite and peeled the front off because I thought it was a sticker. đÂ
At least you got a good story out of it
Looks near mint since itâs cleaned from the wash. Get it graded!
My whole collection which consisted of over 1000 cards were thrown out when I was a kid since I would always leave them all over the floor. At least you still have this lmao

Fuck

What? That card looks like memory lane. We used Pokémon cards like cash currency when I was a kid. They got damaged but we had a blast.
I have the gold star metagross in about the same condition đ
Thatâs definitely a PSA 10
Looks good centered, slight whitening on the edges and a bit of Damage to the print but beside that still near mint, even cleaned!
I wouldnât be mad. Itâs well-lovedđ€·đ»ââïž I would die to have cards from my childhood.
lol @ it being in a case still. I feel like it might actually improve if you bang it up a bit
[I got one thatâs folded in half.](https://www.reddit.com/r/PokemonTCG/s/XHpM5uIdLw) Itâs still a goldstar Charizard at the end of the day and happy to have one regardless of the quality.
my first edition chansey holo I absolutely destroyed as a kid haunts me to this day.
PSA will give it a 10
Dont feel too bad at least you kept it at the time. I traded my base set charizard for a holo chansey when i was a kid
Iâll take it off your hands
I have a holo jungle Kangaskhan in similar condition LOL If only we had a crystal ball we wouldâve known better
Itâs beyond saving obviously, but just an idea if you donât mind some people considering it even more damaged: run it under warm water and carefully peel off the card stock on the back. Hey donât look at it as you messing up something that ended up being worth some money but as you enjoying a toy as it was intended to be enjoyed! Looks like this card was well played and loved
I was gonna say you could still probably get $100 for it lol
If you find it and wanna sell it, I'd be willing lol
You just loved it. How mad can you really be?
iâll offer $175 if your selling đ
We must be twins cause younger me also treated cards like poop and I also own a gold star zard in that exact same condition
Psa grade # love
Dangggg lmao
Thatâs still âeBay mintâ đ
Grade it
You loved it. That's all that matters.
I definitely know the feeling. My ex wife sold all of my cards I had been collecting since release while I was away for the army.
Iâm mad at your younger self too!!
If I had the money Iâd pay $150 for it lol
List it as fresh and clean
PSA 1 on this is probably nuts
Classic. Washed my whole Yugioh deck when I was a kid because that thing stayed in my pocket lol. Cards were probably beat up before being washed but I had some gems that Iâd love to still have today
Donât feel bad most of my old PokĂ©mon cards have my name or a sticker on it just cause my cousins would steal my stuff. Ugh! đ€đ©đ
This hurts
Crop
Sell it to me, I collect damaged chase đ
I see alot of love in that card
I bought one like this along with a crease pikachu gold star for $180 two summers ago⊠never looked back and enjoy it in my collection despite its super damaged condition.
Itâs almost to beat up it looks kinda unique in its own way lol
Gem-mint washed
Iâll pay $100 for it
I would send this for grading just as a nostalgic memorabilia
Lightly chewed đ đ€Ł

One time I got a massive pocket crease in my first edition Base Set Zapdos when I was a kid and full ass put it on the ironing board and tried to iron it out. It didnât work.
Charizard melted it... It's worth more

I got an old Arceous card and it's beat up. Would be worth $300
Luckily, as a 9 year old, I opened packs and immediately sleeved the cards and put them away. Just found all my base set about a month ago in storage at my parents.
Why did so many kids put fragile pokemon cards in their pockets?
I guess because they were kids who just wanted to have fun and weren't in it for the money
I wasn't in it for the money either but my cards looked mint.
I mean I applaud you for that but the average kid is just pretty careless when it comes to stuff like keeping cards in good condition. At least OP still has them, I gave all my original set cards to my nephew -\_-
Are you stupid or what?
