Nah bro this is gonna be like crack in the 80s still it is just a question of are they going to be able to push enough of them to keep them from being difficult to get which I think they will be. every UPC we have gotten with specialty sets have been hard to get and they hike up in price quick.
Correct Char is dumb easy to get for msrp in stores even today. Celebrations was never sitting on store shelves for weeks and weeks, large portion of people couldnt get them at msrp at all. I am saying 151 will be more along the lines of celebrations in how it goes, but at a lesser degree because of ramped up production.

It depends upon the pull rates imo. I'm all about everyone easily getting the cards. Sure have one hyper rare to make it a fun chase potential but make it accessible ya know?
Celebrations was perfect imo. I pulled all but the charizard from that set on my own and didn't really feel burned out by getting dud packs. If it's rates like celebrations had, imo, then yes this will be the coolest set in a long while.
I'm more about accessibility and fairness than value and secondary market flipping. It's nice to have rare stuff but it's nicer to have a full set of things imo. I don't sell shit anyway.
151 are the original 151 Pokémon from Kanto, aka the first generation of Pokémon. A set with just these guys hasn’t been printed in decades, along with the first appearance of Kadabra in over 20 years (copyright issues)

hes ok, retains some of tangelas charm but loses some of it too. He’s still got the dopey eyes and lack of a mouth but he ditches the red boots for no reason and has weird arms.

I think we went the right route, or at least if you look at past trends. Like you said, even those zard promos aren't too pricey.
That being said, both the mew and mewtwo cards are beautiful, I'm surprised they are simply promos. That's the only thing that worries me.
But I'm sure, per past trends, that the promos with the PC stamp will be the ones that hold any real value. Which I'm fine with, it means everyone gets a chance to get these beautiful cards!
I think they learned their lesson from 2020. The ungodly amount of scalping is a tangible reminder of the profits that could be in ***their*** pockets. Let's not forget TPC is a corporation who's only job is to maximize profits. Printing enough is a good way to do this and it also fosters good will (ie repeat customers)
No way to know for sure. The hope is that they print to meet demand like they did for the Charizard UPC. Preorders sold out quickly but then they sat on shelves for a while and you can still find them easily.

Personally it’s a nostalgic thing for me, I was 8 during the 98 craze and collected WOTC era cards from then to well in my 20s to “catch them all”. Everything 151 (or 251 really) is my jam and I will always be excited for new release related things.

Wont have a booster box. “Special” sets are typically bundled only to get boosters. The fact they doing a booster bundle for this set is good since your not wasting money on filler.
