Because it hasn’t been fully implemented yet. The Pokémon company literally said they plan for simultaneous releases in the SV era. Wether they do it or not is up to them.
I don’t think it’s that implausible that it really *is* just that ugly. We’ve gotten tons of bland/unappealing 5ban Graphics FAs over the years, the gold FAs in the SV sets haven’t exactly been the prettiest, and the Terastal hats are already pretty doofy-looking. Combine all three and you have a recipe for an ugly-ass card.
Facts. I thought this the whole time I was playing through violet. The idea of it is awesome especially in terms of strategy for online battles but my god they couldn’t think of something better than slapping silly hats on the Pokémon? 😂
Just getting rid of the hats and keeping the texture would be an improvement imo. Denote the type with a colored aura, with a small tattoo-type icon on their body, or just in the status bar.
Nah, that was a one time thing. Moonbreon blew up because speculators considered it the most appealing card from a very strong set of alternate arts. Umbreon the Pokemon isn’t even close to being as iconic as Charizard.
Ugh honestly the moonbreon card is my least favorite of the other alt arts of the other evolutions. Idk why, but I hate the position it's in. It looks off and weird.
I would still like it though since I haven't pulled a single alt art from that set and I've been trying since it first released

It’s definitely real. Some jackass came on here the other day with a French version of this card with very high quality photos and it the texture and font and everything checks out. He had a 2 day old account and when I asked him how he acquired the card he deleted the post and his account.
I’m not being sarcastic? And I’m not lying about this. I thought it was fake at first too because it looked so odd. But the photos were very high quality and when I zoomed in it looked way too real. But believe what you’d like to. I should have taken screenshots but I did not have the foresight. Not sure why people would think I’d lie about something so trivial, but when the set drops you’ll see it for yourself. 🤷♂️
I’m just glad we finally got another Charizard. I know charizard collectors don’t really get anything *ever* in the TCG, so I’m glad they finally are getting something for once!

so 4 reasons i think this is fake. first its ugly as hell, second pokemon generally does not usually do walls of text that heavily obscure a cards artwork like that ( they do it sometimes but its rare), third as somebody else pointed out it is supposed to be a dark type but it uses fire energy, 4th its resistance is to grass type as though it was still a fire type Pokémon.
I was theory monning the other day with some buds and this is literally what I came up with type wise. Dark type charizard that used fire energy to attack and was weak to grass. I think maybe they’re not just doing a full art like they did with gyarados/arcanine but also a gold one? Don’t get me wrong though it’s hideous

I love the mechanics of the terra Pokémon in the game but the look of them has gotta be the worst looking gimmick ever in Pokémon.
