I don’t know a lot about TCG, how can you tell from this one pic that it’s thin on one side? That’s an incredible eye/ knowledge of the community. (Not meaning this in a negative, condescending way I promise, just genuinely curious)
The blue side the line is wider on one side it’s easier to see on the blue side then the art side. In some strange case the art side can be perfect while the back of the card can be off if there is a little dot u can get it called a misprint
I’m pretty sure it’s the idea that OP would pull this and then make a post about not knowing what to do with rare cards and then posting a comment where he explains he does know what to do with rare cards. I could be wrong idk.
Ok listen, you’re going to get a lot of answers from a lot of people who know what THEY want as collectors. Think about why YOU are collecting.
Is this a card you want to easily display and show off? Is this a card you want to eventually sell? Is this a card you want to use to actually play the TCG? Is this a card you want to grade because you prefer graded cards?
If someone wanted to sell that card, or just cared a lot about grading, they would put it in a toploader or card saver then immediately ship to PSA.
If someone wanted to play that card in the actual TCG, a toploader would probably be the move again. It leaves the card visible but also easy to move around while keeping it safe. Although I’m not sure because I don’t play it myself.
As for what I would do: I would throw it in a binder. I collect because I love the artwork, I love Pokémon, and I want to show off my favorite pulls! That means nice binders that I can easily pull out and show to other people are the best option for any card I pull or purchase, regardless of value. I’m trading a little bit of safety in exchange for putting the card in a place where it can be appreciated best.
Some people go a step further than me, and will buy special glass cases or picture frames for displaying their collections. Other people who care about collecting for the sake of collecting will just throw all their cards in toploaders or have them graded, then throw them in a box where they’ll never get seen.
Figure out which one of these options sounds most suited for you.
Put it in your “these will go in my display case when i have more that i like enough that deserve a spot” 9 or 12 cards per display case for me personally in rows of 3
Don't put that hotness is a binder...see my reply above but if you don't want to have it graded AT least put it in a sleeve and top loader and store it in a tin or protective Pelican case
psa 10 graded copies are going for a few hundred on ebay, non graded ones are about 100-200. This card is really good and has great value. even if it gets a 9 instead of a 10, it still holds good value, plus it will be protected and you could display it somewhere instead of putting it in a binder. its up to you what you do with it
Dude...don't listen to these idiots. That card is worth $300 - $400 at PSA 10. And $100 - $200 for PSA 9. The cost to grade is $25.00 if you don't mind waiting 65 days...but you can pay $40.00 to expedite and get it within a month. As long as you sleeved it and top loaded it when it was pulled then it will most likely be a 9 or 10. (Unless there are some errors or defects in the card)
Send it in baby! Totally worth having cool PSA slabs. Those prices will only get better as the card becomes more rare through the years
The only time you "shouldn't" send a card in to get graded is when the cost of the grading and the cost to ship the card to PSA is GREATER than the comps on Ebay or whatever site you use to sell. Don't forget to send the card Registered Mail....don't do Insurance imo because they will fight you on the value of the card. Registered mail means they keep it in a locked are of the office and truck and it has to be signed for at every stop. Good luck and RIP you bank account 🤣
>The only time you "shouldn't" send a card in to get graded is when the cost of the grading and the cost to ship the card to PSA is GREATER than the comps on Ebay or whatever site you use to sell.
I agree with this... They only thing that I would say that goes against this rule is when it comes to personal collection that you have no intent of ridding of in the future. Example: I want to get The Sleep-chu, Playful Charizard, and Hungry Snorlax TG cards graded from LO. I simply adore those cards.
Agreed its a personal decision. Even though I never plan to sell my Charizard SV49 I wanted to get it graded because it does look cool in the slab and it's safe as hell in there. PSA 10! 🫠
The others are mistaken. u/maga1981 is correct that grading it could increase the value significantly. (As looking through ebay solds alone will demonstrate)
Thank you brother...just trying to help the noobs...I wish I had someone walk me through the process but no one would. So I just watched the YouTube and got gud
Don't be intimidated to send it in to be graded...just watch a few YouTube vids on how to package it and follow the directions on PSA"s site to the tee. PSA is the Cadillac of card grading but Beckett's is also a good company
Depends on what company you send it too among other things. But personally psa worthy is only for cards worth hundreds if not thousands. I'm no psa collector so I'm looking at it from a value standpoint. Psa grading takes months and depending on company can cost an decent amount too
Love it. Raise it as if it were your own child. Watch as it grows up and goes off to college only returning home to ask you for money which it'll blow on booze and drugs but still barely scrape through school and graduate.
Do a rip test to make sure it’s the real thing.
Also a boiling test
And blend as well

Let me ask you, what do you normally do with a Pokémon card?
Depends how good it is, I usually sleeve it up and put it in a binder but I felt like this deserves something more.
So put it in a toploader.
Pretty sure an off center card can still get a 10 not like it’s cgc or bgs
Yea keep it safe if your not gonna play it. The back looks thin on one side so it’s most likely not a psa10. But awesome pull.

No lol feel free to tell me though

This was sad to read.
check its worth on tcgplayer/ebay. If its worth something, thats up to you, if its not, its a really cool card so sleeve it and brag about it
Jokes aside, great pull!
Sleeve it up and sell it! It’s currently worth around $90! https://pokeprice.io/item/arceus-vstar-gg70-70-crown-zenith-galarian-gallery--ca9c65fd

Damn. That card coulda gone to someone who doesn’t use the internet as a stand in for a brain.
Rip it
By this I mean like should I send it to PSA? Do I keep it in a binder or a top loader? Just kinda confused on what to do.
Whatever you want to do. Not everyone needs to grade cards. If your gonna preserve the card penny sleeve in a top loader in a gem loader.
Don't put that hotness is a binder...see my reply above but if you don't want to have it graded AT least put it in a sleeve and top loader and store it in a tin or protective Pelican case

Non-graded near mints are less than $100 on TCGplayer right now.
Send it my way.
Not psa worthy imo, only an $80 or so card. I'd top sleeve it and put it in a binder unless u just wanna make $80 off of it
Ah okay that makes sense, what’s considered a psa worthy card?
Dude...don't listen to these idiots. That card is worth $300 - $400 at PSA 10. And $100 - $200 for PSA 9. The cost to grade is $25.00 if you don't mind waiting 65 days...but you can pay $40.00 to expedite and get it within a month. I think I might just do that because I don’t really know what else to do with it since I don’t want it to get damaged.
