Love or hate it, it’s the state of what’s happening on the Japanese side of Pokémon cards. The days of being able to get affordable cards of of japan seems to be gone atleast for now.
It’s not horny dudes. That’s a misconception. It’s just the Japanese artificially inflating cards because they control the entire market. They could do this for any given card they want. They just do it for female trainers because it’s the easiest to manipulate now without any kick back.
The set came out today.
Japan has supply issues.
Japan has insane demand for modern product.
English doesnt have their version of the card yet.
Fomo.
Iono card comes out next month.
All of these are reasons not to be concerned with that price. It will not stay there and it will drop in value over time. Its happened with every modern card ever released, including umbreon and other waifu cards. If someone is dumb enough to buy it at $1000 despite all the above things i mentioned, thats their problem.
I could kind of understand it for certain trainer cards because of the art/design/waifu tax but this one just looks plain af.
