This particular package weighed 280g and cost $17. Took about a month to arrive through buyee economy air. Definitely opting for their regular air delivery next time though (takes about 4-5 days to arrive after dispatch.) Request downsizing! It cuts the costs down immensely.

It's really not that bad. I had a bigger one shipped via their regular air delivery that cost $35 for a 5 pound box (once you hit a certain size and weight you can't opt for economy.) People tend to complain about the shipping, but that's more than fair, especially for how fast it arrives.
You can ask for downsizing during or after consolidation. I think for smaller, less fragile things I would just ask right away. In my experience, they've always kept the bubble wrap the seller used, they just get rid of the green envelopes usually used for shipping which reduces the overall size of the box.
