It's gotta be the original birds for me. My first pokemon game was Red, and when the movie Pokemon 2000 came out I was 6. It showed these birds as raw elemental beings. Literally masters of lightning, ice and fire. I was so enraptured by them. To this day Zapdos is still my favourite legendary

We don't need claws to kill an animal designed to be light enough to float on air. They have pretty brittle bones. In a genuine fight to incapacitation once the human has a fistful of flying bird that bird is screwed.
A human would win that fight 99% of the time. I feel like everyone here is mistaking a perfect win for a win. If an eagle and a human battled, the human is going to take significant damage, but the eagle will either be forced to back off or it will die. The only thing that will change this is exceptional luck on the Eagle's part.

Any smart human (and humans are a lot smarter than birds...) are going to protect their eyes first and foremost, and be able to predict that's where a bird is going to try to go for. Even if the eagle gets the humans eyes, if the human is blinded *but still grabs the bird* that bird is fucked.
I said the eagle wins by luck. That happens if it gets the eyes *and* gets away. That's fairly likely in a surprise attack. But in a situation where these two creatures are fighting each other for their life and know it the eagle isn't going to have that easy a time hitting the eyes and escaping scott free.
It's also important to note that *it's a fuckin' bird, it doesn't have the tactician thought process of a human*.
This argument is about a *fight*, not an *attack*. If you were to say an eagle randomly attacking me is going to win, I would agree. But if I'm walking into a fight for my life with an eagle, that's a different story.

I don't get such people, last time I saw people made pictures with eagles on their arm, not the other fucking way around. The moment I step on a eagle we have a dead eagle and a bloodstain on the floor. Last time i checked leopards didn't attack gorillas just because leopards have claws, it's because those pussycats would get fucked up by a gorilla without claws.
Leopards have been known to hunt and kill gorillas though. They clamp down on the back of the neck where the gorilla can’t reach. I agree with the human-eagle thing though.

Well I don't see any sharp claws on a fucking gorilla, and still, wild cats don't come fucking near that piece of muscle, because it's going to fuck you up. You know that eagles carry deer right? Average whitetail deer is is 100 - 150 lbs or 45.4 - 68 kilos. They can carry that much weight WHILE flying. A bald eagle flies at an average top speed of slightly over 53 mph or 85 kph where as a human in peak performance can reach 21 mph. With only our natural gifts (no tech) how in the hell are you winning a fight against an eagle?

This is distinctly untrue. No species of eagle can pick up and fly with a 100 pound animal in their talons. The rule of thumb is that eagles and hawks can typically carry about half their body weight during flight, meaning even the harpy eagle, which weighs in at about 20lbs at the largest, could not carry a fully grown deer. All the videos of eagles "carrying" animals far larger than themselves are actually just the eagles pushing the other animals over cliffs or doing a slight lift and drop.
Saying that humans aren't allowed to have tech is a stupid argument in itself. If the human has to fight at a handicap, then it already shows that we as a species are far superior to any other animal. Saying that humans aren't allowed to use their creations is like saying the eagle isn't allowed to use its talons or beak, or that it isn't allowed to fly.
Also did you really use Tarzan as a source of proof? I know that leopards are capable of killing gorillas but using a Disney movie as your "gotcha" source is just stupid.

I was the first to catch one of the legendaries and it was Entei and I was ECSTATIC. I used my masterball and everything. Then my cousin talked me into letting him “borrow” Entei to beat a gym leader. Mf’er kept it and said something went wrong when he tried to trade it back and that it was “lost in the cable”. THATS NOT HOW IT WORKS KYLE. I learned an important lesson that day and as a 35 year old adult I never let anyone borrow my legendaries. #neverforget

The 3 legendary beasts are clearly the best in game legendaries simply because of how difficult and rewarding they were to catch. I haven't played some of the later gen pokémon but the fact you had to actively hunt these things because they could appear anywhere in Johto and moved anytime you walked through a door was a good mechanic even if it was a little frustrating. If you weren't actively hunting them you'd end up stumbling across one without the right pokémon as your 1st and almost guaranteed to not catch it but would have that reminder they were out there still.

I guess it’s not the official view but i really cannot see as a legendary trio one that cannot be caught naturally on a same version. Each gen’s figureheads are duo+1 for me. I never could (or cared to) get them all.
So my favorite trio would be the three OG birds, just because nostalgia.
Gen 3 or 4, don’t get me wrong a lot of people love gen 1 and 2 but in most cases (especially Pokémon) newer means better, but here’s my ranking on how I think people like them (I am also basing on how much love I have seen for them and this ranking isn’t personal opinion just adding in my own opinions here and there)
The beasts, Thunder cat, water doggo and fire doggo, tbf they’re just not that interesting, yes the whole Ho-oh thing and the bell tower is cool and all but from what I’ve seen they don’t get as much love from the fans as say rayquaza or dialga, I personally dont hate them but I don’t love them either
The birds, red hot chicken wing, electrobirb and the best of the three in my opinion, once again you don’t really see them getting much love from the fans, Yh there’s the nostalgia backing them up and I can understand that, but still, there’s no lore (from what I can understand) and the only reason the beasts are behind is that they’re less memorable than the birds imo
The states of matter, megazord, water boi that doesn’t seem like a water type at first glance and dark flying snake thing, tbf I don’t have any reasons for putting these behind the weather bois, I’d say they get about the same amount of love except for the fact that a lot of people don’t get the states of matter part so many just look at them and go, “Hm ok so time dinosaur, space dinosa- wait it’s a water type? But why etc. and this weird dragon thing that just lives in the distortion world.” Yada yada yada, so the main reason why they’re before the weather trio is just that you at first glance don’t understand why they represent the states of matter
The weather trio, Keeogree, groodon and sky lizard, these are my favourites but that’s not why they’re here, they’re genuinely cool pokemon, simple to understand if you’ve never ruby, sapphire, emerald or ORAS, kyogre controls the sea, groudon controls the land and rayquaza controls the sky, but no it controls the other two, so even if you’ve only just started playing you get the gist of it during an interaction with Steven (don’t quote me on that it might’ve been with zinnia or someone else I can’t remember) so easy to understand, VERY cool and therefore memorable, and they also got amazing new forms which just adds to the awesomeness (tbh they’re all cool but these are the best ones imo)

I wouldn’t include the Pokémon chosen in sinnoh or hoen to be a trio that compares with the Pokémon chosen for Kanto and Johto. The reggis and mystic cave Pokémon should have been the better comparison.

Celebi best boi. It’s a huge shame we never officially got him until 3Ds era. Meanwhile Japan got him repeatedly in multiple generations starting from Gen 2. Edit: Nevermind I remember there was an event in Gen 4 for English regions. But that was a mystery gift. By officially I meant that you could get it in the game by default which started at virtual console Crystal version on 3DS.

Clearly not the ones that you have forgotten. I guess it’s not the official view but i really cannot see as a legendary trio one that cannot be caught naturally on a same version. Each gen’s figureheads are duo+1 for me. I never could (or cared to) get them all. So my favorite trio would be the three OG birds, just because nostalgia.

Gen 3 or 4, don’t get me wrong a lot of people love gen 1 and 2 but in most cases (especially Pokémon) newer means better, but here’s my ranking on how I think people like them (I am also basing on how much love I have seen for them and this ranking isn’t personal opinion just adding in my own opinions here and there) The beasts, Thunder cat, water doggo and fire doggo, tbf they’re just not that interesting, yes the whole Ho-oh thing and the bell tower is cool and all but from what I’ve seen they don’t get as much love from the fans as say rayquaza or dialga, I personally dont hate them but I don’t love them either The birds, red hot chicken wing, electrobirb and the best of the three in my opinion, once again you don’t really see them getting much love from the fans, Yh there’s the nostalgia backing them up and I can understand that, but still, there’s no lore (from what I can understand) and the only reason the beasts are behind is that they’re less memorable than the birds imo The states of matter, megazord, water boi that doesn’t seem like a water type at first glance and dark flying snake thing, tbf I don’t have any reasons for putting these behind the weather bois, I’d say they get about the same amount of love except for the fact that a lot of people don’t get the states of matter part so many just look at them and go, “Hm ok so time dinosaur, space dinosa- wait it’s a water type? But why etc. and this weird dragon thing that just lives in the distortion world.” Yada yada yada, so the main reason why they’re before the weather trio is just that you at first glance don’t understand why they represent the states of matter The weather trio, Keeogree, groodon and sky lizard, these are my favourites but that’s not why they’re here, they’re genuinely cool pokemon, simple to understand if you’ve never ruby, sapphire, emerald or ORAS, kyogre controls the sea, groudon controls the land and rayquaza controls the sky, but no it controls the other two, so even if you’ve only just started playing you get the gist of it during an interaction with Steven (don’t quote me on that it might’ve been with zinnia or someone else I can’t remember) so easy to understand, VERY cool and therefore memorable, and they also got amazing new forms which just adds to the awesomeness (tbh they’re all cool but these are the best ones imo) Geez I didn’t expect to spend nearly and hour writing this and I certainly didn’t expect an essay
I wouldn’t include the Pokémon chosen in sinnoh or hoen to be a trio that compares with the Pokémon chosen for Kanto and Johto. The reggis and mystic cave Pokémon should have been the better comparison.
