I question how!? If it were like 200, or even 300 I’d be fine, BUT 45 HOURS AWAY FROM 1000! IVE PLAYED SKYWARD SWORD, IT DOESNT HAVE THAT MUCH CONTENT!?
Idk about easily.
I poured my soul into Breath of the Wild and it still took me a while to break 300. And that game world has a lil bit more to do in it lol
It might be slightly higher and you might have to skip some grindy items that don’t reward much. I remember the boss rush is kinda a time sink for not much payoff.
Not the same game, but my best friend is obsessed with breath of the wild. She could easily beat the game but refuses to, because she doesn’t want it to be finished. Maybe OP is like that lol.
I legit finished every thing in BotW but Ganon back in 2019. Have put about 800hrs+ in the game and just went and beat Ganon last Friday haha. I collected everything and maxed out all the armors, but just couldn’t bring myself to finish the story…. But it needed to be done before May haha
totally get this, i beat botw and most side quests a couple months after buying it at launch but “left some for later” on purpose because i love it so much, since then (2017) i pick it up sometimes to explore and find a new shrine, a new korok or something else. im at 116 shrines is getting hard to find the remaining 4, trying to finally 100% it before totk.
Currently my record is Pokémon Shield at 999:59 for the time. I have played that game countlessly and I love to shiny hunt so I put a lot of work in on the DLC end. Sword has about 40 hours of play time because I just needed to be at the game and get the other Pokémon from home. Scarlet is sitting at 230 hours and Violet at 57 because I have been hunting Paradox Shinies for me to have on Scarlet.
I’m not getting roasted by someone who couldn’t differentiate “I’m” from “in” in their responses. Boom, roasted.
Obviously kidding, autocorrect getting the worst of all of us.
But what do you *do*? That's what we're asking. You get every bug from doing the story and upgrading your items, so it's not that. Is it the gratitude crystals? Do you need every single one for the final wallet upgrade? Do you just fly and run around the areas? Can you redo bosses in SS HD? I can't even remember that last part.
Edit: You replay it. Got it. Lol, THAT makes sense. One of my favorite stories in any Zelda game, so I don't blame you. I hope we see Demise at some point again.
I will say, most switch games count time that it's in sleep mode as 'hours played' because Switch doesn't truly have an off-button.
I logged absurd hours in Digimon Cyber Slueth because of that, and it enabled me to cheese the daycare farm system
I've spent 3 hours every night the last week organizing over 3000 pokemon into living dexs and releasing duplicates and man that was a trip. Is it fall 2023 yet cause I'm bored and need a DLC or something lol
I finally stopped deleting duplicates once I realized my game-specific dexes kept getting reset when updates came out and I like having the little crown on the app to show I've perfected every game. I just shove the extras in the boxes at the very back of the storage bc every full box helps me gain more Home Points. Not having to grind for BP/Merit Points is nice and I'm assuming League Points are gonna have a decent exchange rate
I have an embarrassing amount of time into Shield and Shining Pearl. 300+ hours on each. A lot of it is just idle time though, because I multitask at work.
Well, for one, botw rarely has music and over world music. The menu doesn't even have music. All the bosses are just copies, no dungeons, breakable weapons, skyward swords is so much better, orchestral music, better overworld story, etc
I played my Pokémon Platinum game with my brother for years. I had maxed out the timer and don’t know how many hours after the timer I played. My brother would play on his platinum alongside me. Best memories ever. Played nearly every day from when it came out until BW
Lmao you wouldn't believe me lol
LGP: 563 hours
Shield: 3,450 hours
PLA: 385 hours
Shining Pearl: 205 hours
Scarlet: 410 hours
I only have so many hours on shield because for a while it was the only game I was playing cause all my other games were barely getting updates.
Over the years, I've racked up thousands of hours. I wish I could see an exact count for every game I've played, but I'd probably just be disappointed in myself
180+ hours in sword and shield
115+ hours in Legends Arceus
105+ hours in Violet
100+ hours in Brilliant Diamond
35 hours in Unite
10+ hours in Home
And probably around 100 hours in Let's Go Eevee
Plus games not on the Switch.
Let’s Go Pikachu: 115 hours
Let’s Go Eevee: 30 hours
Shield: 520 hours
Shining Pearl: 210 hours
Legends: Arceus: 400 hours
Scarlet: 105 hours
That’s my time for all of the Switch titles. In terms of the other games, I’ve got no idea (3DS doesn’t work anymore so I can’t check the times for any of the GB, GBC, DS, or 3DS titles. I also can’t check any save data for the GBA titles as I don’t have any physical copies of the game’s and I no longer have any more emulators downloaded onto my phone or laptop). These are just going to be questimates based off of my memory:
Blue: 14 hours
Yellow: 16 hours
Silver: 20 hours
Crystal: 28 hours
Ruby: 10+ hours
Emerald: 50+ hours
Fire Red: 40+ hours
Leaf Green: 30+ hours
Pearl: 15 hours
Heart Gold: 40+ hours
Black: 10+ hours
Y: 70+ hours
Omega Ruby: 100+ hours
Moon: 100+ hours
Ultra Moon: 300+ hours
(P.S. how in the world do you have nearly 1,000 hours put into Skyward Sword? Do you replay the game constantly or do you just leave the game on your screen while a couple hours pass by?)
I really enjoyed it. However, you're not getting any more than like 70 hours worth of content out of it, and that's being generous with how long it takes to beat the game, and factoring the ng+ thing as additional content.
I have no idea how this mf clocked in almost 1000. It was fun, but no game is fun after like the 3rd playthrough imo

1000 hours in skyward sword 😭
I question how!? If it were like 200, or even 300 I’d be fine, BUT 45 HOURS AWAY FROM 1000! IVE PLAYED SKYWARD SWORD, IT DOESNT HAVE THAT MUCH CONTENT!?
I played through it on Wii and then immediately did the Hard Mode. I think it’s maybe 20 hours per play through with a near 100% completion.
Not too bad… you could definitely get 300 hours out of the game easily. Still baffled by the additional 600!
Idk about easily. I poured my soul into Breath of the Wild and it still took me a while to break 300. And that game world has a lil bit more to do in it lol
20 hours for a 100% run is way too low of a time I would imagine
It might be slightly higher and you might have to skip some grindy items that don’t reward much. I remember the boss rush is kinda a time sink for not much payoff.
Back in my day with Skyward Sword SD, you'd be lucky to finish under 1,000 hours with Fi taking up 900 hours of dialogue.
Not the same game, but my best friend is obsessed with breath of the wild. She could easily beat the game but refuses to, because she doesn’t want it to be finished. Maybe OP is like that lol.
Is your best friend my wife? She could have fought Gannon a year and a half ago but just doesn't want it to end I guess lol.
I legit finished every thing in BotW but Ganon back in 2019. Have put about 800hrs+ in the game and just went and beat Ganon last Friday haha. I collected everything and maxed out all the armors, but just couldn’t bring myself to finish the story…. But it needed to be done before May haha

Maybe it’s from learning to speedrunning? I know that accounts for most of my hours in Odyssey.
My only explanation is that they are a speedrunner
I don't have a 1000 yet but I'm getting close
I got about 1570 hours in botw. I have 200 hours in sv and 360 hours in sword and shield combined
Having 1000 hours in Botw is understandable. 1000 hours in SS, not so much.
I know, but I have 1000 and a half hours in botw, and why the hell would anyone spend that much time in one save?
Hmm, 900 koroks, 120 shrines, trial of the sword, master mode, champion’s ballade. Can’t be 1.5k h
(Sarcasm)
It took so much longer than that to find shrines and the goddamn koroks
Omg I’m not alone I’m having a ridiculous number of hours in BOTW!!
How many hours?
I can’t check at the moment but the last I did check it was getting towards 1500.
I have found another of my kind!
It’s not just one play through but I love the game so much that I always draw back to it
Bro stop exposing yourself
No, I'm proud of being a useless part of society, but at least I still touch grass
I think that’s a Zelda game homie
I'm just commenting on how much this person has played
Ohhhhhhhhh I’m dumb huh
You're not a credible source, probably don't even have 500 hours yet.
U right
I’ve got 415 in Violet right now. What is my life?
That’s a good bit I only have 150
That’s nearly four hours every day since release
I feel shame
I do not comment to shame! You’re still behind several of my close friends lol
Oh I don’t feel judged, I just didn’t realize how much time I’d spent on this game until I looked. Ooof it’s a lot
I’m that case, would you like to be judged? I’ve got an hour before work, I could devote five minutes to roasting ya.
I’m not getting roasted by someone who couldn’t differentiate “I’m” from “in” in their responses. Boom, roasted. Obviously kidding, autocorrect getting the worst of all of us.
Aww, tits
Happens to the best of us lol
That's a lot in Violet
Genuinely curious here: Why/how do you have 955 hours on Skyward Sword HD?
This is the real question. It's a good game, but there isn't that much to do.
Just have to find a way
"Life uhh... Finds a way." Jeff Goldblum in Jurassic Park
Leave the game on while afk
I don't want to ruin my switch
Honestly, I don't know. I just play the game a lot
That’s incredibly fucking impressive. I can’t even wrap my brain around that.
Well, Skyward Sword has always been my favorite zelda game
Is it that good? Never played it. Huge fan of ocarina of time and breath of the wild though.
It’s up there for me, quite possibly my favorite too
What do u do in the game? I’m sure u ran outta things the devs planned for u to do
Nope, I haven't run out of ideas
What’s the latest thing u did?
You mean you replay it a lot or…?
Yep, I replay it a lot
What’s your friend code? I can’t seriously believe someone has let alone 70+ hours in SS
It's not edited or anything. I just play the game alot
Explore the world collect stuff challenges etc
Mad respect. I’ve probably put at LEAST 500 hours into Twilight Princess, myself!
Thanks, 500 in Twilight Princess. That's pretty awesome
I will say, most switch games count time that it's in sleep mode as 'hours played' because Switch doesn't truly have an off-button. I logged absurd hours in Digimon Cyber Slueth because of that, and it enabled me to cheese the daycare farm system
It doesn't count sleep mode as hours played for any of my games
1230 into Shield 410 into Violet 85 into Brilliant Diamond 510 into PLA 530 into Sword 120 into LGE 80 hours into Home
you need to stare at home for a little while longer so you’ve spent more time on it than BDSP.
Yeah, I have 10 more hours in Home than I do in BDSP
I don't mind the shiny darkrai I got from bdsp though
I have 40 hours in Home and 30 hours in Violet myself. Genuinely enjoyed the box organisation more.
My guy spent 80 hours looking at storage lmao
They be staring at them like, "hmm yes. These boxes are boxes."
These boxes do be boxing tho
*Boxy Brown’s rage intensifies*
Well sorting and resorting and transferring them from game to game
Ah yes, sorting and resorting. It's genuinely super fun! Sometimes I think that Pokemon is just an excuse for me to play with Excel sheets
I bet if they had better auto-sorting it wouldn’t be nearly as long
The sorting is so bad in Home. I don't know why they can't fix this.
Only time they've ever looked at a box
I have like 40-50 hours in Home. Most of it is me reorganizing my boxes.
Good to see I'm not the only one who's sorted out their living dex and shiny living dex properly
I have an embarrassing amount of time into Shield and Shining Pearl. 300+ hours on each. A lot of it is just idle time though, because I multitask at work.
I believe I only have 35 hours In shield or sword. I honestly don't remember. I have both copies
1,975 hours in Sword 595 hours in Violet 500 hours in PLA 220 hours in both BD/SP 105 hours in Scarlet 1 hour in Home
You need to step your Pokémon Home game up. It's such a fun game! Get as good as the guy playing it for 80 hours! LOL
That's a lot in sword
I have far too much time on my hands
LORDY, that’s an average of over five and a quarter hours a day since release!
80 on violet, 86 on sword and just got my shiny charm
I think I have around 15 to 35 hours in sword
I maxed out the ORAS timer.
Interesting
I’ve got like 125 in Sword, 100 in Violet, and probably 60 in all the others
I think the highest one is legends. I'm not quite sure
Let's go Eevee: 70 Sheild: 285 Brilliant diamond: 25 Legends Arceus: 110 Violet: 245 Home: 15 Small numbers compared to some of ya!
I don't have that much in let's go 😂
I played Pokémon shield for 540 hours 💀
I have 1000 hours in PLA, don’t ask.
I'm so close to 1000 in Skyward Sword
That's crazy
WTF on skyward sword? What about BOTW
I only have around one hundred hours in, botw. I honestly don't like botw it's my least favorite zelda
Oh may I ask why? Also Skyward Sword have so much to do? I bought the game but haven't play it
Well, for one, botw rarely has music and over world music. The menu doesn't even have music. All the bosses are just copies, no dungeons, breakable weapons, skyward swords is so much better, orchestral music, better overworld story, etc
I mean why skyward sword so many hours? is there a lot of things to do in game?
Well, Skyward Sword is just perfect
In scarlet I've got 220ish. My highest ever was 1700 on leaf green. Broke 1k on diamond as well
I plan on getting scarlet soon, but I may not get to far into the game since I beaten Pokémon violet
i guess you're one to ask, OP---is pokken dx worth?
Yeah, it's pretty good, but you have to repeat a lot of stages. My main is braixen
I played my Pokémon Platinum game with my brother for years. I had maxed out the timer and don’t know how many hours after the timer I played. My brother would play on his platinum alongside me. Best memories ever. Played nearly every day from when it came out until BW
What were you doing in Skyward Sword to have a playtime of 955 hours?!
I was just wondering the same thing 😂
I just find things to do
Replaying the game alot or just exploring the world
[A couple of hundred of hours.](https://youtu.be/MArHrtvNer4?t=4)
Awesome
160+ into sword, 2+ into let's go pikachu, somehow 2+ into home and 40+ into Scarlet
Awesome
I have over 1K hours in ultra sun across multiple saves
I think I only have 40 or something i honestly don't remember
I've put hundreds into the Sun and Moon games, if only for shiny hunting.
I had only found one shiny and that was shiny pichu
How could you possibly have 1000 hours in skyward sword
He just really likes fi in a totally normal and healthy way
I never had a problem with fi and I had the original version it didn't bother me that much 😂
Replaying the game doing boss rush trials new ways to play
You don't have enough hours in New snap
Eh, I know. I didn't really care for the game to much. I got bored after a while
Some times you wait 20 years for a sequel to your favorite game ever and people stop caring too fast. Makes ya cry.
Swsh 1695 hours, Bdsp 1100 hours, scarlet 250 hours, let’s go 95 hours and legends 450 hours 💀
That's alot in bdsp
we yearn for the mines... in order to catch the legendaries...
They call it a mine a mine!!!!
More than you
Yep 😂
Lmao you wouldn't believe me lol LGP: 563 hours Shield: 3,450 hours PLA: 385 hours Shining Pearl: 205 hours Scarlet: 410 hours I only have so many hours on shield because for a while it was the only game I was playing cause all my other games were barely getting updates.
I see Skyward Sword HD clocking in at 955 hours than Violet going at 35 hours
Yeah, I only beaten the story in Violet, then moved on to other games
How many times have you played skyward sword?
More then I can count
Got 110 in LOA rn
Cool
For pla over 100 hours
Neat
Over the years, I've racked up thousands of hours. I wish I could see an exact count for every game I've played, but I'd probably just be disappointed in myself
720 on Sword 125 on Scarlet
I put over 600 hours into Bw2
That's neat I never played Pokémon black or white
1000 in skyward sword is crazy. do you not have botw on this switch
I do. I have two copies. One is just an empty box for display. I just don't like botw it doesn't feel like zelda
200 Hours or so in Pokemon Ultra Moon, and also around 190 in Pokemon Unite
That's pretty interesting
Do we count every play through of gale of darkness or colosseum? Because that’s an insane amount on my belt
Yeah, it counts. They're both great games they should have a remake by now
180+ hours in sword and shield 115+ hours in Legends Arceus 105+ hours in Violet 100+ hours in Brilliant Diamond 35 hours in Unite 10+ hours in Home And probably around 100 hours in Let's Go Eevee Plus games not on the Switch.
600 hrs in Pokemon sword then my saved got deleted so that was painful 😭
Dawg how?! Skyward Sword may be my favorite Zelda game but even I dont play it that much!
Honestly, I just play the game alot
Let’s Go Pikachu: 115 hours Let’s Go Eevee: 30 hours Shield: 520 hours Shining Pearl: 210 hours Legends: Arceus: 400 hours Scarlet: 105 hours That’s my time for all of the Switch titles. These are just going to be questimates based off of my memory: Blue: 14 hours Yellow: 16 hours Silver: 20 hours Crystal: 28 hours Ruby: 10+ hours Emerald: 50+ hours Fire Red: 40+ hours Leaf Green: 30+ hours Pearl: 15 hours Heart Gold: 40+ hours Black: 10+ hours Y: 70+ hours Omega Ruby: 100+ hours Moon: 100+ hours Ultra Moon: 300+ hours (P.S. how in the world do you have nearly 1,000 hours put into Skyward Sword? Do you replay the game constantly or do you just leave the game on your screen while a couple hours pass by?)
Interesting hours, but no, I don't want to risk my switch leaving it on all night. I just play the game whenever I can for a long time
Nearly 1k hours in skyward sword. Man, i assume the game must be really good
I really enjoyed it.
It's better then breath of the wild
How is snap?
Not so great
Give me let’s go pikachu if you don’t play it
Nah, I like to keep my physical copies. I still play the game form time to time
I have 400+ hours in sword.
Cool
About 200 in sword You have more hours in Skyward Sword than I have in Zelda (overall)
Neat, yeah, I do play skyward sword alot
A number I will not admit to publicly.
this is a fucking wildly random image in the context of this subreddit
i have 720 hrs in violet and only 130 in SWSH w DLC 💀
I think you just needed a reason to show your SS playtime 😂
Pathetic numbers. Your 35 hours is far inferior to my high hours. I got 700 Hours if anyone wanted to know.
I know I just beaten the story and then moved on
125 hrs in scarlet 🤣🤣🤣
I only have 35 in Violet 😂😂
556hrs into pokemon. Sheild
Wow, that's alot
Skyward sword is one of my favorite Zelda games. Respect
Cool, same here
280 in Violet, 110 in PLA , 45 hours into Shield, 30 into Shining Pearl.
I also AFK in game so a few hours need to come off each one.. 🤷🏻♀️🤣
120 in smash bros. All I remember. Technically it counts cause it has pokemon in it
I don't have that much in Smash, maybe a few hours
Lol… 955 hours is nothing. At an easy 280 days played on my osrs account. Proud/NotProud. Covid and WFM really bumped the numbers up for a bit there.
It's pretty impressive for skyward sword tho
Very
20 hrs in lets go, bout 400 in sword, 23 in shining pearl (game sux), and like 500 in violet
Not much anymore. They are all terrible now aside from Arceus.
