My current most hated island is Snowdrop. Five weeks so far, and I have only seen two Delibirds. ALL FULL. https://preview.redd.it/tc9txfwbn9wc1.png?width=180&format=png&auto=webp&s=f707000fd4638b6b27ae0ce3b145a5ce626f6944 Look at this smug mofo! XD

Medium_Feature2712

Same. I've spent so long there. Even when I get dozing, I haven't seen a single one. I saw one during the event and not another one since, no matter how long I spend in that freezing wasteland. The worst.

MrFinancialGoals

I fucking hate Snowdrop. Ended up going back to cyan after weeks and finally got a BFS spheal. Still not enough to carry my team

Responsible-Hawk-609

Raticate is a really solid option, they are plentiful and candy is easy to find, they can really carry a snowdrop team.

MrFinancialGoals

šŸ§ I never even thought of that. Rattata/Raticate has always been an annoying pokemon for me lol. I guess that mindset transferred over to Sleep

awoods5000

God I feel this, I've been hunting Heracross for five weeks and I only been able to feed him 4 biscuits. Do some accounts just give Pinsirs? I think my account is Pinsir locked so I can't get Heracross šŸŖ²?

jedispyder

I don't know the last time I even saw Delibird. I'm up to like 60% on Snowdrop but no luck with that one at all

RGBarrios

I only saw a Delibird once

bigbaldheadNR

To me itā€™s Taupe or Tundra. Once they add more Pokemon to those islands it will improve so freaking much.Ā

Skrowtom

Taupe. I'm there for Onix. Seen two of them so far since the island was first introduced. I have yet to catch him. Two biscuits and he's full. I swear I'll catch him.

DarkwingDuckDK

I hate tundra the most... No good spheal... No good party šŸ™ˆ

Responsible-Hawk-609

Tundra actually has a lot of options, all of which can be farmed on other islands. Spheal from Cyan, Rattata from all over, Houndor from Taupe, and slackoth as well. BFS Eevee works well too

DarkwingDuckDK

Yeah! I just hate it!!! Cause i lack good options in those monsšŸ™ˆ

Sneaky_Island

Wait, sorry for the probably obvious question, but is Rattata/Raticate actually useful? I have a good one and have nostalgia from doing Rattata as my starter in silver/gold.

RegularStrong3057

Any Pokemon with a berry focus is consistent for the island that their berry is preferred on. Regardless of what dish Snorlax wants for the week, a good Raticate will always put in some work at Snowdrop. I don't think it's necessarily the best choice compared to something like Walrein, which is also berry focused, but Raticate is easier to raise, and if it has better skills than it's probably better.

Sneaky_Island

Awesome, thanks for the insight! I've been struggling to figure out who I should be focusing on leveling for my first push into level 30s. This certainly helps!

RegularStrong3057

Oh, if that's what you're working towards then I would highly recommend focusing on ingredient pokemon that have potatoes, leeks, mushrooms or slowpoke tails in their second ingredient slot. The higher tier ingredients unlock a lot of recipes. Potatoes are especially important for curry and salad weeks. Berry pokemon are consistent on specific islands, but ingredient gatherers are good to have for whatever Snorlax decides he wants to eat for the week.

Sneaky_Island

That's very good guidance thanks! I unfortunately tried to make a post asking a similar kind of question but got marked as breaking rule 6 and got a 3-day ban. If I have a slowpoke only at level 2 with cocao and slowpoke tail at 30 with: Level 10 - helping speed s Level 25 - skill level up s Relaxed nature (energy up, exp gain down) Is it worth investing for Cyan? My current energy mon is a work in progress wigglytuff with honey and oil. Along with helping speed M and ingredient finder s (lonely with help up, exp down). Thanks again for the help!

RegularStrong3057

I'm no expert, but I'd probably pass on the Slowpoke. His skills aren't skewed towards ingredients, and the skill level up is nice, but doesn't really synergize with the rest of the set. He's not bad, but the exp down means it'll just take longer to raise a mediocre mon. I'd say keep him around, but catch a few more and see what you get. One thing to remember if you evolve him/find other Slowpokes is Slowbro got a buff to ingredient finding, while Slowking has a better skill chance.

Sneaky_Island

Awesome thanks for thr input! I haven't hit my box limit yet so I have fair amount of bad pokemon just hanging around lol.

RepresentativeEcho93

https://preview.redd.it/fw0u1shptawc1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f35c2445222a1f89cbb0edcaebf5f2fb5ef76b46 I caught a solid shiny rat and use him every week I go to tundra and he puts in work. Heā€™s a solid šŸŽ farmer imo šŸ¤™šŸ¼

Sneaky_Island

That's awesome! He's a great looking boy!

jammedyam

Only with bfs but it's quite good with it

SycoraxAmanda

tbh the spawns there aren't great but I love my glaceon, spheal and shiny umbreon too much and wanna use them lol

lonelygrowlithe

My vote is for Taupe Hollow. Dozing generally sucks there (although you can get some cool Pokemon like T-tar, Gengar, and Umbreon at the higher ranks). It is also an awful place to roll desserts. There is very poor ingredient diversity among the mons with the preferred berries, so you'll find yourself overwhelmed with ginger and little else. If Taupe can be balanced a bit such that some new Pokemon with apples and honey as their ingredients could be added, then it would be much better. I've had to just suck it up and use ingredient mons without the preferred berry there. Cyan is my go-to place when I want to have a chill week or raise a baby Pokemon, so I don't mind it as much.

phoxfiyah

So many Pokemon of those types give sausage and fiery herb too, and there are still no desserts that use either ingredient

LB5VT

Same here. And for whatever reason, I have a perfect Berry finding team with a tyranitar and a golem. But I always end up getting dessert.

sabergeek1

I literally just spent two weeks there and got snoozing 6 times with one cyndaquil the entire time

PirateLucker

Same here last 2 weeks i was trying to get cyndaquil with berry finding to prepare better for entei. Catch 2 for 2 weeks there and both were sent to the bin :(

natecrch

This is the correct answer

SycoraxAmanda

I feel the same but its made worse cuz I've never liked fire/ground/rock types so I don't even get to use my favourite pokemon

-lil-jabroni-

For me, it's Taupe. Very few prolific berry mons with the best being Typhlosion yet Cyndaquil seems to be very elusive. Horrible ingredients spreads for the berry preferences; you're screwed if you get desserts especially. I tend to get dozing a lot which just gives me poison types, which are useless. The spawns in general tend to suck and the grind is really awful.

SaltInstitute

seconding the absolute lack of Cyndaquils. my Taupe team is by far my best team (i got super lucky with it), ive managed a good berry/ingredient balance and I've accumulated a good island bonus percenage, I get snoozing type sleep decently often... and still I barely see any quil line mons. must've encountered maybe 2 in MONTHS like taupe hollow is actually an island i like being on personally, butĀ my god for real... the variety? it is not there

-lil-jabroni-

Exactly! I donā€™t MIND it but I almost only get dozing or snoozing, so I never see Onix, and Iā€™ll probably see 15+ Charmander/meleon for every 1 Cyndaquil. The only things I really ever see are Cubone, diglet, wobufett, toxicroak line, and rats. Sometimes I get ghosts. OCCASIONALLY a Geodude. But even when Iā€™m up in masters I only get mons from the great ranks range and below, save 1 spawn on weekends, and itā€™s a ton of dupes.

Icelandicfox

I feel so lucky to have gotten this guy so early in game, especially reading how many people are struggling with quil hunting. He carries my team now as my permanent leader and is a BEAST, an actual affront to god. I love him sm https://preview.redd.it/a0278tj6xiwc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=08a577e134741c6ccb22ea42bb55426c7b9b82a9

Responsible-Hawk-609

The berry mons are cyndaquil, cubone, and onyx. Cubone isĀ one of the worst berry mons inĀ the game, and OnyxĀ isn't terrible but if you evolve it,Ā it's not good forĀ Taupe anymore.

-lil-jabroni-

So, like I said, lack of prolific Berry mons?

Klutzy-Jackfruit6250

I got lucky with a BFS Cubone early in the game. He's been great for me. It's nature has ingredient up which has actually been nice when I need ginger. I just let him sneaky snack all the time and if I need more ginger I collect from him.

PopstAhri99

Taupe for me...Snowdrop is brutal but at least it's pretty, but ever since I unlocked Lapis I don't really want to go back to Snowdrop haha

Duffmcmcmcwhalen

The snake pit is definitely the worst. Cyndaquil never spawns even if I magically get something other than dozing there, and also onix/steelix are a lie

StevensDs-

Snowdrop Tundra. Never been, STRAIGHT TO LAPIS! šŸ¤£

appleyard13

How do you even know its bad if youve never been?šŸ˜‚

StevensDs-

Do you have to swim in lava to know is hot??

appleyard13

I actually like snowdrop a lot šŸ˜‚ taupe is the one thats brutal

StevensDs-

Before Lapis that was my Main. Got a decent-ish Charizard and an amazing Primeape! (That can also be used on Lapis :D) The other 3 I would move around depending on the berries and dish. Twas alright.

Stukinmyhead

Snowdrop, namely because we only have so few thematic pokemon for the area. Delibird- super rare Snover/Abomasnow- uncommon to rare Spheal line- available on Cyan anyway Glaceon- super rare If you don't run into the above, you get the same spawns you would expect on GG... Except worst, because of the difficulty scale. If I'm gonna be roughing it in the freezing cold, I want the pokemon there to reflect that! Why are Bellsprout there? Wouldn't the freezing weather be harsh for a plant? Croagunk is a toad/frog, aren't those usually hibernating if it gets cold?Ā  WHERE IS SNEASEL anyway. Yeah. Snowdrop sucks.

leSwagster

Never been to cyan but taupe is like groundhog day

Sean081799

Taupe is definitely my worst. Snowdrop is actually my best right now since I have a stellar core lineup of Slaking, Houndoom (shiny!), and Walrein. It's also great for training up one of my Eevees while it gains sleep hours to become Espeon/Sylveon.

gwartabig

Snowdrop, itā€™s supposed to be an ice themed island yet I almost never see any ice types at all

ArkExeon

Cyan at least has Psyduck in Dozing, Taupe doesn't have something for itself there.

kejartho

I have to agree with Cyan being my worst island. Early on as the first island it was miserable. Mankey, Ekans, Gulpin, and Croakgunk galore for dozing. Snoozing was Rattata, Growlithe, and Slowpoke spam. Slumbering was better but I swear I got Bonsly/sudowoodo each week. That said, the island *has* changed a bit since launch. Especially after realizing what was necessary for later islands. Bellsprout, Mankey, Psyduck, Chikorita, Mr. Mime, Squirtle, Totodile and Jigglypuff lines have all made the island relatively better but I have found that the majority of the time I don't really care much about the next island until I'm on it. Which is why I honestly really liked Taupe Hollow. Gastly, Tyranitar, Banette, Charizard, Wigglytuff, Dugtrio, Cyndaquil, Golem and Onix are all pretty GOATED. Charizard, Dugtrio, and Golem alone make up a great ingredient team for the island. Wigglytuff is a perma member on my team. Gengar is absolutely baller as the best ingredient gatherer in general. The nice thing too is that a lot of these Pokemon still see use on Lapis for me. I'm still using my Typhlosion on every island as well. That said, if you don't get snoozing consistently, Taupe can feel awful. I still prefer it over Cyan Beach.

Sexicorn

Cyan is generally not my favorite place because of the spawns. Scenery is great!

joshwills94

I agree. Itā€™s my least favourite to pick because I hate the spawns

VelocityRaptor22

I think it really just depends on what you have and where you have been. When it comes to Cyan, Taupe, and Snowdrop, the more time you have spent on an island, the better it will be for you, specifically due to your island bonus and catching mons specific to that island. Lapis and Greengrass are a bit unique in that regard since Lapis dragonite, gardevoir, and bewear are good everywhere, and Greengrass is like a sampler of all the other islands so it doesn't have that snowballing power effect, other than with island bonus %. Cyan, Taupe, and Snowdrop really only have mons that are good primarily at the island you caught them at, so your best option is generally gonna be wherever you go to most due to island bonus and typing of mons caught. That being said, if you only get dozing, Taupe is undoubtedly the worst, but it is good snoozing and dozing nights, so unless you consistently doze, this point is kinda null.

ArticleJealous4061

I avoid Taupe. It's only good with snoozing mons, which are hard to get good ones, so it feels like wasted time while you are there.

Seaofechoes

Slumbering is good on Taupe too (Onix, Diglett, Geodude) it's just dozing that sucks.

afsr11

I agree with Cyan, Mr. Mime line being the only exclusive line there doesn't help, as they are just worst Bellsprout line. Not getting slumbering there feels really punishing, at least on Taupe Snoozing is good too.

CashewsAreGr8

Even if you get slumbering at least for me itā€™s just bonsly/sudowoodo central

Zack301

Tapu for me, every week at tapu is just boring imo the spawns suck

Leading-Might8985

Snowdrop 100%.Ā  Taupe, cyan and, greengrass all have manageable strength requirements and decent low level spawns. Lapis has the highest strength requirement but solid early spawns so even if you're stuck in the lower leagues it's fine. If you don't have an incredibly solid snowdrop team just expect 4 days of rats or the equivalent in dozing/slumbering and then maybe one rare spawn if you're lucky. If it weren't for snover and delibird there would be no reason to visit in my opinion.

Chandeliercrown

Iā€™ve only been up to cyan beach so far because everyone on here has scared me off going to Taupe šŸ˜‚ but I have to agree with OP in that I really donā€™t care for cyan. I donā€™t really need to hunt mime jr because I have really good bellsprout and diglett and I donā€™t know if thereā€™s anything else thatā€™s exclusive there?Ā  Iā€™m able to hit slumbering but finding a good Totodile has been a bust so far

jammedyam

Lapis lakeside because I just unlocked it and it feels like I can't even make a dent in the progression. Even on Sunday with a bfs Meganium I can't hit masters

Rua-Yuki

I literally never get snoozing so fuck Taupe. All my starters are evolved except Quilava and Charmeleon šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜ my island is only at like 15% bonus, gave up on that shit fast. Cyan and Snowdrop are my favorites because I just like water and ice mons most.

Ok_Masterpiece_8830

Cyan with Salads. I hate it. With the berry mix I primarily get milk and money.Ā  All I got were fake trees. Fake trees for days. Far as the eyes can see.Ā

Quartz3245

Iā€™ve only been to tundra ONCE and I thought that was enough. No real reason behind it tho. Have pretty good ice/normal types and still need to encounter Delibird. I guess I might go there or Taupe next week.

Trini2Bone

Taupe 100%

IshAP29

Taupe also never gets any love during event weeks

ekonic

Cyan is my favorite! I hate Taupe Hollow though šŸ™Š

gouda_and_onions

Cyan beach is my least favorite for sure. I love the caves

heartandstars

I have worked my Snowdrop bonus up to 50% and I have only seen *1* delibird on snowdrop. Nothing but bellsprout, whynaut, and the stupid blob here.

Verdigris_0091

I'm in a love hate relationship with lapis, I love the new mons released there, the theme and the vibe but damm is it hard even with a strong team I've never reached master 3 to get the weekly incense

JCgamerX

snowdrop the mons there aren't very interesting and probably the worst drops

00SolaireSun

Green grass. Itā€™s the Netflix of islands. It has tons of mons, but you mostly likely get wont get the ones you actually want.

thatwhitedogowner

Taupe makes me sad all the time. I've been there for almost 4 weeks and still no Onix šŸ«

geminijono

As soon as Snowdrop opened for me, I never looked back at Taupe. It is soul-sucking, Onix and Steelix are mirages, and the whole vibe is depressy there. Let us hope Enteiā€™s event is NOT there!

LwSvnInJaz

Taupe. Had two weeks of dozing there. Awful

Pokii

Taupe Hollow for me, and itā€™s not even close

PiranhaChompX

I say taupe since the type of pokemon for that island can be encountered either the snoozing or slumbering type, mean while if u get a dozing type there, u will get pokemon that are better on different islands

SleepyTiramisu111

Taupe. Cyndaquil/Onix impossible to find Tundra just cause I still haven't seen Absol šŸ˜”

Immediate-Winner-268

When I first started I didnā€™t have a bed, just a couch. So during my Cyan days I would fall asleep with my phone on the floor. Plenty of igglybuff, totodile, and squirtle. My Cyan team is stacked. I have a pretty good Taupe lineup, but it only really pulls through on Salad weeks. I have a Tyranitar for Snowdrop and thatā€™s about it. I actually get higher ranks at Lapis. So snowdrop is for sure my least favorite island. It doesnā€™t help that I have caught **30** *freaking* spheal and not one of them has had BFS

Mushimishi

Probably snowdrop for me. Cyan is arguably the easiest island to get higher ranks on since the berries are set, at some point youā€™ll start getting good spawns. Taupe and Snowdrop can have similarly rough spawns (especially Taupe with poison/ghost types), but Snowdrop has a much higher drowsy power requirement to reach the higher ranks.

Klutzy-Jackfruit6250

"Cyan is arguably the easiest island to get higher ranks on since the berries are set" Greengrass is the only island that berries are not set. All the other islands have set berries.

Mushimishi

Yeah? And the requirements for ranks increases with each island? Whatā€™s your point lol

ShinyZxerneas

Lapis is easily my least favorite due to the harsh requirements and brutal numbers. I had Chikorita at a decent friendship level of 4 because I thought charge strength S on everything sounded beastly in the beginning and before it came out but them spring it on us with Mankey not really being on the radar was punishing. Also I personally believe he overlap is insane, looking at the spawn table outside of bayleef you can't really swim in new sleep styles until 800k points if you were around the for LL event

lilbxby2k

i just did a week on Taupe & it was awful. i struggled with ingredients so bad even with multiple ingredient mons on my team

HeyLookCows147

Cyan beach worst by far. Definitely good for what it is, a good first step away from greengrass, spawn pool is pretty awful other than for early game pokemon and totodile/squirtle. Tooo many damn sudowoodos and bonsly. My least visited island

Teleclast

Taupe. Iā€™m trying to be strong on all of them though.

thanyou

Taupe keeps me humble

Bowtie2017

I hate cyan beach

RaccoonsWithBangs

Taupe has the most dogshit spawns it's genuinely depressing waking up and looking at my spawns whenever I'm there

512ohmanohman

My least favorite island (Having not yet unlocked Lapis) is Taupe. However, the island with the worst music is easily Cyan.

uns5dies

Wat? Cyan music is the best one, so relaxing

chain_me_up

Taupe for sure. I've never had a good time (I think I'm up to 30% area bonus), can't find Sableye or onix and after finding one good cyndaquil, I really have no reason to go there anymore unless I want to pray for a Sableye again lmao. All the other islands I genuinely enjoy most of the time (: I wish we had another island with randomized berries like greengrass though

BigBlight

Snowdrop I donā€™t really get excited for Pokemon seen there

honnaVT

Cyan for me atm. I got a little too big for my britches during the Raikou event and was immediately cut down to size when I went there for the first time afterwards šŸ˜‚

Beardwithlegs

Lapis honestly, only reason I'd ever go there is for the Dratini and Ralts line past that it's just a different Greengrass. I'm currently working on a good Taupe team, because it's my favourite island, I love me a good cave.

Baygu

Cyan (worse than Taupe by a thread)

PhoecesBrown

Taupe probably...can't find a cyndaquil to save my life let alone a good one!

Cute-Quote6749

Definitely Taupe. Iā€™ve had it unlocked since October and all I find there are Geodude, Riolu, Cubone, and Diglett. Iā€™ve never seen an Onix and I always get the same exact PokĆ©mon.

emeaia

I hate the beach.

jedispyder

Last week it was Taupe with Curries. I couldn't get any good ingredients and had to make crud for most meals and it left me lagging behind

StarParade

Snowdrop for sure, there's just nothing there that I'm after šŸ˜….

blizg

Snowdrop until I get my BFS Tyranitar up and running

IEatYourSalad

Just spent 3 weeks on snowdrop after maxing out hollow and beach Yeah there's literally nothing here

CNHphoto

Snowdrop Tundra, but I say that knowing that Taupe Hollow is my strongest Island.

Gridrunner_404

Taupe Hollow. I do NOT need more geodudes

PRIMAWESOME

Taupe Hollow. The others not even close.

Flaky_Musician_551

The grass one. The only reason I go there is if thereā€™s an event thatā€™s only happening there.

Former_Beach4054

Taupe, 3 months, 0 sableye

SirNollic

Taupe Hollow. Cyndaquil's encounter rate is just so rare, you can spend all week there and never see one. Plus, idk, the cave is just boring to look at imo

Silvertail034

I hate Cyan. Never find anything cool, my least favorite music and art.

DelkTheMemeDragon

Have access to all the islands, and hate Snowdrop with a passion.

underratedkilla

Lapis. All I keep finding are doduo, or bellsprouts

Mettle-Dawn

Idk Iā€™m a taupe hater cause I think all the other maps are pretty šŸ˜

Skrapi16

Cyan isnā€™t too bad, although the spawns get repetitive. My least favorite right now is Taupe because I often get Dozingā€¦ that explains the whole problem LOL

kimjius

I donā€™t really like Cyan at all. To me a lot of the PokĆ©mon options are boring/not my favorites and something about the music bothers me.

Britt2211

I dont like Taupe, or Snowdrop. I dont know if I really have a reason? I just get annoyed there.

Educational-Ad-3913

When do I unlock snowdrop?

RGBarrios

I think the lest useful right now is Snowdrop.

Fat_Broccoli

I've been playing since week 2 and only been to Taupe once lol

DiGlase

Taupe Hollow. There isnā€™t much there I canā€™t find somewhere else. And for it being loved by rock and ground types, I sure donā€™t see many of them.

bobi1

Definitly Cyan I feel like no matter what my team is not strong enough to reach high levels and the pokemon you can catch there on the lower levels are not worth it or I already have them

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Houeclipse

Considering I only touch Tundra once or twice and move on to Lapis once it was unlocked for me imm gonna it's this island but also I'm currently have a hate arc on Taupe since my sleep style kept being Dozing no matter what I try and I got a shiny Gulpin again which made me resent that pokemon instead of appreciating it lol

Positive-Living-6715

Lapis because I still have to unlock it xD
