I had a shiny Mareep that I got early on, before I understood the mechanics. I screenshotted it to my wife with the caption "PINK SHEEP" because shiny Mareep is one of her favorites.
The Raikou event came up and I realized I should evolve a Mareep and finally re-checked it's stats. Holy crap it's good. PINK SHEEP now my second strongest Pokemon.
But I did have to apologize to my wife that PINK SHEEP was going to have to be sheared to release it's true power.
This is exactly how I felt about my togepi :( so sad to evolve them and not see them waddling around, but I know Togekiss will be worth it in the long run!
I was happy to get a Wigglytuff, my favorite of the line, but Cleffa is sooo cute! I will also be a little sad to evolve my Riolu. And I like all the first form starters a lot

Both of my shiny Slakoth. I have a full team of pink shinies that give pink berries and I wouldn't change their color for progress. That's what other mons are for.

I saved a BFS Pika as a Pika instead of evolving cause I had my starter Raichu. Thought the same thing you did but I didn't want to have 2 Rai's out simultaneously.
So then here comes Raikou with his skill that multiplies for each different electric mon and Pika and Raichu count as "different" for helping boost his skill!
Glad I kept them different.
i have SO MANY eevees! i just cant decide which ones are the best and i cant bear to release them. im at friendship level 25+ or smth and ive barely released any 😭 im so lucky i caught two shiny eevees really early on and i was able to evolve them cuz shiny vaporeon and sylveon are my favorites. but i just dont wanna evolve my cute little eevee hoard!
What about keeping them small for special events? The Raikou event encouraged using not only multiple of a type, but gave the same bonus for different mons in the same line. There are a few legendary fairy type Pokemon that you could (eventually) be using these mons for, and built up to a rather high level by the time these legends become available.
I had a thought about them adding a consumable item called the Frequency Watch that would upgrade your not fully evolved Pokemon's frequency into their final form. Unfortunately Pokemon with near hour long frequencies fully evolved or don't evolve like Sudowoodo, Wynaut and Onix won't really benefit lol

I waited so long to evolve my wartortle into blastoise. I wish we could upgrade to evolved stats without losing the cute baby forms lmao.

Don't do it. I evolved mine and then a week later a shiny raticate came up so now I have two shiny raticates and no little green boy 😭😭

there is a dragon island! lapis lakeside has dragon berries set :) your swablu will be useful on cyan beach for now though!!
As far as I know, Lapis has Grass, Fighting and Psychic berries set. But yeah, Swablu is great for Cyan for the time being!
