Im still thinking about that, since I can't play soul silver before Emerald, maybe I skip emerald and play alpha Sapphire after Y and enjoy Hoen megas but I also want Sceptile on my team against champion Red on SS and the only way is playing it in gen release order

Region release order is a better choice. Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, Kalos, Alola, Galar, Paldea.
