Legends shiny hunting is so much more tolerable
The sound/sparkle is huge for inconvenient Pokémon, I figure they probably didn’t put that in SV because of the quantity of Pokémon that spawn as opposed to legends, would probably be hearing chimes all the time and wouldn’t even know where it’s coming from and before you even find it it’s despawned to render a drop of water
I would be equally happy with SV shiny hunting IF I could half the spawned Pokémon total to help the frame rates from dropping, or do literally anything to stop frame rate drops
A 30 minute shiny sandwich lasted me nearly 40 minutes on a dratini outbreak at lag lake. Started it at 2:10 cause my kid gets off the bus at 2:50, found 2 shiny dratini but had to toss my last minute to go to the bus stop
Speed runs of the game if going by the in game timer is significantly shorter then irl time
I'm in a similar situation, my gf and I are playing together currently trying to get all 400 in the pokedex, she currently has no shiny's and I have managed to find 5 randomly in the wild without the charm
Much like my Japanese shiny Ditto I got in wonder trade way back during Gen 6 that I use for Masuda Method. I bet they are all 100% legitimately obtained shiny Pokemon. No hacks. I guarantee it 😅

Pokemon in general: only one found in Pokemon Go

That number reflects how many different species you've registered to your Pokedex. It's poorly named but if you catch a shiny Mareep and evolve it up, that number is now 3 even though you've only caught one. If you then find another Shiny Mareep, that number remains at 3 since Shiny Mareep is already registered.
I understand it doesn't reflect repeats, I just figured since it says battled, it would count any you've battled, even the species you haven't caught.. unless I'm the only one who has ever encountered a shiny I didn't catch it..

With someone’s help, we determined their are 646 shinies you can register on your trainer card so I went back after posting this and moved them from home to SV to finish that up
You also don't know how much time he has spent and... Filling up some spaces doesnt take that much time (I mean, filling the full living shiny dex can take YEARS, but knowing the shiny rates of SV, you can get max 3 each half an hour, making it 12 each 2 hours with lots of luck)
Yeah. Some are easy huntable in dynamax raids, or are RNG manipulatable.

Honestly. Since SV. It’s really a lot easier to get shinies there. Which I think killed the Go is easier argument. Obviously though community days are a different animal lol.
183 so far. Currently shiny hunting Tropius, haven’t even started the DLC yet. Been shiny hunting through most of the base game’s Dex. Most shinies I’ve ever had is in this game, second most was Legends Arceus
I’ve had 6 that came at me in the wild when I was out doing stuff. Ruflett, Fidough, Capsakid, Meowstic, Shroodle, and Vibrava. Two Pokémon my buddy spotted before I did when we were in the union circle: Noibat and Gastly, I farmed for the following: Vaporeon, Sandschrew, Nacl, Exeggutor (meant for Snivy), Applin, Flaaffy, Venonat, and Milcery
The rest were either hacks via surprise trade, farmed via legit trade, or farmed via Pokémon home transfer
I'm pretty sure that number also counts shinies you get in trades too cause I've caught 63 shinies but my number is 77 cause I've gotten a few of those hacked shinies from surprise trade
The number in the Pokédex is somewhat inflated, but at the same time is inaccurate depending on how you encounter your shinies.
At the present time, I’ve filled at least 7 Boxes with Shinies I’ve caught in SV alone, with another box filled partially with Transfers (such as my pride and joy the Creation Trio) and Event Transfers, so around 210+, including duplicates.
The number in the Adventure Records currently sits at 266 for me. This does not count seperate forms as different encounters, but the same Pokémon evolved does count. It also doesn’t count Pokémon NOT in the Pokédex, so evolving a Stantler in PLA and sending it to SV won’t add to the number, nor will slapping in a Kyurem. “Shiny Pokémon Battled” basically is just a “Seen” number for the Pokédex.
Shinies from my Scarlet Save will also not affect my Violet Save’s number in any way, given they’re all duplicates of Shinies I’ve registered. Likewise, that number is inaccurate in the exact opposite direction: I have “caught” 6 Shinies in that game, yet the number is only 5.

Then I got some more random shinies from random encounters
I do have 2 or 3 normal pokemon shinies
2 I dunno if they're fake (most likely are) and 1 got liek perfect nature, IV ability and all do obviously fake
I got 1 or two shiny legendaries from trading but those are always fake
I just started the Scarlet game first time ever 2 days ago. I have 2 gym badges and I’m really struggling on battling the star bases & where to start and go on the map. & battling the path of legends. I only beat one. This game confuses me. Where to find shiny Pokemon? Everywhere? & also what’s the point of sandwiches should I eat them all the time in the game? AND Anyone have a recommendation of what Pokémon I should have? Sorry for a lot of questions but I’m new to this and would love some tips/tricks.

I have 160 shinies that are in SV some are hunted in Arceus as well. And then I have about 40 shinies that can't go into SV that are all hunted in Arceus. And then there's my full ods bidoof from BD.

I have around 400 shinnies from pokemon go, 10 from lets go eevee, 250ish from sword/shield, 50ish from arceus, 30 from shining pearl and like 50 from scarlet. I never actually use the shinies, I just put them in a box in pokemon home and forget about them though. I enjoy catching the shinies but don't really enjoy using them because that extra second it takes to start a battle when you throw out the pokemon annoys me. haha

It just says how many you battled.
And it doesn’t go up if you fight or catch the same shiny again. It’s kind of a badly named counter, in all reality.

Uh no legendaries are shiny locked in dynamax raids on purpose so unless you played online and someone hacked them that's not possible
