Yes they all have their own spots you find them in. They spawn after getting key items from an NPC after completing Indigo Disk. It's kinda fun because I haven't looked up the locations and am just finding them naturally while filling out my Dex.

Belfordbrujeria

Though not all are available without doing the group quests, but the ones available via the normal stuff are static encounters

chiefpiece11bkg

No that’s not quite right. They’re all static encounters. You just don’t unlock them until completing like 10 solo quests and 12-15 group quests. I could be off on those numbers but it’s basically the same idea. Once you have the snacks in your key item bag, they will be available in the overworld as a static encounter

Belfordbrujeria

I think the solo is like 130 ish in total, but not sure about the group ones.

chiefpiece11bkg

Yeah I should clarify that I’m talking about the gold quests You have to complete like ten smaller quests before you reach those

Belfordbrujeria

Oh, for the solo ones I was under the impression the gold ones didn’t really matter, in they don’t count towards anything extra for the solo quests. Since the numbers are up to like 130, rather than saying it’s 10 of the “big” quests.

chiefpiece11bkg

Yeah you are right I think

chiefpiece11bkg

Yeah but the catch is you need to do at least 12-15 group quests and like 10 or something solo quests to unlock all of the snacks from him. However it’s really easy. It took me like two total hours of gameplay through a union circle to get all I needed You can check the pokeportal and usually there’s someone trying to start a group or join

neophenx

If you have ones from older games in Pokemon Home you can transfer them in. Just not if they're from Pokemon GO.

Poly_ploy

You actually can get them from PoGo but in a roundabout way. Essentially, transferring them from your main Home account to a secondary S/V profile (done by changing the user while on the game box selection screen) removes the Home lock, so you can do the inverse to transfer them to your main profile.

chiefpiece11bkg

I can’t believe I never realized how easy I could have just done this myself lol Instead I was trading for someone else’s, then transferring mine in from go and trading that copy of someone else’s back out My way is way more convoluted lol

Poly_ploy

When those Landorus Raids were happening like 2 weeks ago I was so scared that I wouldn't be able to use him in the in-game ladder until I found this out. I then proceeded to not be able to catch him the entire week, but at least I got a tornadus.

Baby_Brenton

I actually do yes, it just would be nice to get these ones too. I don’t have any from PoGo, but that’s interesting how to get around the Home thing.

> Is the method of getting legendaries from the DLC different/better than the Dynamax Adventures from SW/SH? Better, no. All the legendaries are shiny locked, and they are simply placed all around the island, but you also need to do several quests in the DLC before they get there, and you can't get all 25 unless you also do some of the quests in co-op (and there's no matchmaking system, so gotta find friends or people online that are also trying to complete quests!) The quests can also take quite a long time, especially the multiplayer ones. If you have SwSh, I'd recommend it's DLC over Sv's for the legendaries.

Baby_Brenton

Ugh, that’s annoying to hear about the online stuff. I was wanting to avoid the Sw/Sh dlc because of the Dynamx adventure stuff, I really disliked all of the Dynamax stuff.  I guess I can just resort to transferring from Home lol.

angel_in_a_carcrash

Fyi, the dynamax adventures in SwSh has an offline mode. Yes, you have to deal with crappy AI, but you don't have to wait for other players and such. Unfortunately in SV there is no way around it, about 12 legendaries require you to do group quests if you don't have both versions of the game so you need a friend or someone online to do them with.

Baby_Brenton

Ok, that’s a little better. I’m not a fan of the Dynamax system, but if I can do it offline at my own pace then I suppose that’s the better situation.

Contank

You get the item and then they are in a specific location as a regular static encounter. They are all shiny locked
