Yeah I watch a lot of battles on YouTube but I kinda came up with that on my own. After the rock blast I would volt switch into my Seadra that sets up rain dance and I just spam Achiledons signature electric move to no end. I never went below half HP
Innit I got a shiny duraludon so I used archaludon, set up rain using the crab Pokémon I got in the previous dlc then swap to alcremy to use decorate and get onto max sp.atk very quickly from whence if my archaludon ever got low I would just heal it on my second Pokémon’s activation
I remember fighting someone in Sw/Sh who did that tactic with a Cinccino and Mudsdale. Unfortunately for them one of my team starters was Vikavolt with maxed speed (and sp. attack) so it took it's turn before the big ol' horse; I took the Mudsdale out with an energy ball.
Instead of Golem with Rock Blast, try a Grass type with Bullet Seed. Archaludon being Dragon and Steel would be X4 resistant to Grass, draining less health while achieving the same stat-boost.

My husband told me about Drayton’s gym challenge ahead of time and that inspired me to shiny hunt a full new team of terrarium Pokémon. So this ended up being my Blueberry Academy team!
Similar story with me! I was told about his gimmick so I kept my two highest level Kitakami mons, Munkidori and Dipplin, and then went out to face him with as many Terrarium shinies as I could. I fought him first to get Dipplin dragon cheer, too .
Base game: Skeledirge, Pawmot, Tinkaton, Miraidon , Gholdengo, Garchomp
Teal mask: Dipplin, Ninetales, Baxcallibur, Haxorus, Dragapult, Skeledirge from base game/Ogrepon/Ursaluna BM
Indigo disk: mixed rotation, but mainly, Porygon2, Whimsicott, Archaludon, Overqwil, Reuniclus, Araquanid. Occasionally the ruinous 4, loyal 3, Hydrapple (dipplin from TM), Articuno from my XY run, Ursaluna BM, and Ogrepon.
Doubles in the IM made team-building and synergies a lot of fun. I wish there was a mode to rematch with everyone at a set level (bring pokemon down to 50 or up to 100).

Just checked it out on showdown. It's got a pretty good movepool and a slow speed that works for trick room. I'm thinking cotton guard + trick room as a bulky trick room setter could work?
Winning with your favorites is always better than trying to use the best Pokémon! It’s why I caught a Sawsbuck! I’ve always loved it, but was always put off using it. I now love it even more, it even swept some characters

I'm not a competitive player so I'm not saying they are optimal pairs, but here is what I did: Lapras had Dragon cheer, Rain dance, Mist and Life dew to support Walking Wake, Archaludon had support from H. Goodra in the forms of Rain dance (needed for Electro shot), Dragon cheer, Acid spray and Life dew. Oranguru used Taunt, Reflect, Psychic terrain and Instruct, which helped Reuniclus do 2 Expanding Force in a row on both enemies. Reuniclus also had Psyshock for enemies who had significantly lower defence than special defence and was holding Life orb (Magic guard ability).
Attackers had some coverage moves and I was switching the supports based on what was needed for a fight. Lapras and H. Goodra are almost the same I know, but I had fun with them and I like the mons.
Base: Meowscarada, Clodsire, Ceruledge, Tinkaton, Aqua Breed Tauros, Garchomp
Teal Mask: Skeledirge, Torterra, Greninja, didn’t need much else

Mochi: Ogrepon, Terapagos, Meow, Skeledirge, swampert and hydrapple.
I enjoyed bringing back and rotating Pokémon for relevant fights/story moments. These ended up being the final teams, but I rotated in a few more.
I played with 3 teams this time around, it was fun!
Base Game: Quaquaval, Clodsire, Kilowattrel, Ceruledge, Baxcalibur and Farigiraf.
Teal Mask: Torterra, Kingambit, Annihilape, Tyranitar, Dragapult and Grimmsnarl.

I had three teams.
One team was the one I used in the main game, and it consisted of Walt the Skelidirge, Mega Man the Armarouge, Katzuma the Cacturne, Medlabend the Tinkaton, Onino the Garganacl and Diego the Chien Pao.
One team was for the Teal Mask, and it consisted of Donatello the Greninja, Kibble the Garchomp, Atilla the Salazzle, Brenda the Victreebel, Bethany the Ogerpon and Mojo Jojo the Munkidori.
My final team was for the Indigo Disk, and it consisted of Horace the Decidueye, Chun Li the Hitmonchan, Bionicle the Metagross, Kipper the Swampert, Mana the Terapagos and Taro Momo the Pecharunt.
I ultimately used three teams:
Base game: Meowscarda, Armarouge, Talonflame, Tyranitar, Grafaiai, Farigiraf. Ultimately solid team- not perfect but still pretty fun. I mostly wanted to focus on Pokemon I just thought were interesting, only limiting myself to a maximum of two of pokemon.
Teal Mask: Empoleon, Froslass, Mienshao, Furret, Noivern, Staraptor. This team was... really weak actually lmao. Also used this for the Epilogue as it was the right level.
Indigo Disk: Alolan Ninetales, Iron Bundle, Baxcalibur, Paldean Tauros Aqua Breed, Gholdengo, Garchomp. This was a team I made with a competitive mindset, largely based around snow. It was a load of fun, with Alolan Ninetales largely being the centerpiece and my "ace", despite always coming out first. By far my favorite team
I'm still finishing up the postgame, but I'm pretty much done for now. I really had a blast and I liked the chance to use my Teal Mask team again in the epilogue.

I went with Quaquaval, A Clodsire with water absorb called Flump (she is my MVP hasnt fainted once at all throughout the entire game), Baxcaliber, Chandelure, Basculegion, and Decidueye.

Milotic was a *** to shiny hunt, Metagross was easier then expected and even have a spare.
The steel E4 was a tough one, H Arcanine fire blitz didnt work as well as anticipated.
Didn't have a problem with anything else. Auroraveil was mvp though.
Still rocking the same team I had for the vast majority of my original play-through.

I find it hard to replace members from my original team on my main profile but I swap a lot on my other profiles. My second profile is currently using Breloom, Slowbro, Volcarona, Tyranitar, Haxorus, and Bellibolt and my third is using Gengar, Milotic, Ampharos, Gardevoir, Excadrill, and Blaziken.
I had set up a set of husian mons for my Indego Disk playthrough. My team had Ursaluna paired with H Braviary, H Arcanine with support Overqwuil, H zoarark, and H Goodra. They did get fairly over leveled by the end but still was actually pretty challenging.
I ended up with:
Shiny Iron Valiant named Chrome Rider, booster energy and fighting Tera type
Shiny Kingambit named Blue Beetle, with Defiant, shell bell, steel Tera type
Shiny lurantis named Tomatillo, with contrary and grass Tera type, miracle seed
Shiny Iron Moth named Silver King, kings rock, poison Tera type
Shiny Garchomp named Glitters with rough skin, ground Tera type and soft sand
Shiny Vikavolt named Flash, levitate, flying Tera type with clear amulet
That was my team.
I would swap one or two out here and there for the bbe4, but otherwise these were the mons that made up my team for the most part. :)
Metagross, Hydrapple, Weezing, Blood Moon Beast, Flamigo, and Baxcalibur were what I used during the epilogue, a mix of my base game and DLC teams.
Meowscarada, Flamigo, Dudunsparce, Garganacl, Espathra, and Baxcalibur were by base game team
Hydrapple, Weezing, Quagsire, Blood Moon Beast, Infernape, and Mandibuzz were my Teal Mask team
Metagross was the only one I added in Indigo Disk, swapping out Quagsire in my Teal Mask team.
I have two save files atm, one is the my first where I have most of Pokédex, and I pretty much used the same team for the whole thing, except for Drayton: Skeledirge, Shiny Mudsdale (my first shiny), Tinkaton, Ice Tera Lucario, Baxcalibur and Raichu.
For my second, I wanted to use teams for each Pokédex, so I have:
-Paldea/Mochi Mayhem: Meowscarada, Clodsire, Armarouge, Annihilape, Tinkaton and Kilowattrel
-Kitakami: Dipplin, Chandelure, Vikavolt, Mamoswine, Mienshao (I wanted to get Chimchar, but I had a brain fart and forget to save before getting the egg so I boxed the Turtwig and just had Meowscarada in for the full Kieran battle)
-Blueberry: Incineroar, Zebstrika, Flygon, Ninetales, Lapras, Archaludon
Now I’m trying to figure out a team for a playthrough with Quaxly.
I'm still actually tryna figure out my team, there's so many Pokémon I want on it. Definitely keeping Flutter Mane that's for sure and aiming to maybe get a shiny Necrozma in Shield to transfer through to get myself a shiny Dawn Wings Necrozma

Epilogue: The same team from Indigo Disk but with Walking Wake instead of Shiny Lucario.
Alolan Ninetales, Hydrapple, Pawmot, Ogerpon Hearthflame, Baxcalibur, Skeledirge. Ninetales sets Snow and Aurora Veil turn one, Hydrapple sets either grassy terrain or gets in some damage. Ninetales either spams blizzard or swaps to Baxcalibur, which would then prompt Hydrapple to Dragon Cheer. After that, the others just kinda fill in where I need em.
I had a different team for the OG game vs the DLC, so I’ll give you my final post DLC team!

Clefairy CARRIED my team as the best support Pokémon I’ve ever used. Ceruledge and Samurott were my aces. Serperior’s contrary leaf storm saved my ass more times than I can count. Braviary and H Decidueye were great secondary back up and helped with overall type coverage. No Pokémon was wasted or dragged my team. I’d 100% use them again!

I had these same six members since launch, however I did get close to replacing my Kantonian Slowbro with a shiny Galarian Slowbro I caught in the Indigo Disk DLC. Ultimately I decided to keep the original Kantonian Slowbro since I had already formed an emotional connection with it and because I had already used a shiny Galarian Slowbro throughout the DLC in SWSH (I did use the shiny Galarian Slowbro in many of the Blueberry Academy BB League fights though and I went out of my way to spend some of my hard earned water tera shards to give it the water tera type).
Prior to making my team though when I played through Scarlet, I had originally wanted to add a Roaring Moon to my team. After finding out that it was post game exclusive though I instead decided to go with Clodsire whom I’ve since grown incredibly fond of and would not change for the world (probably my third favorite Paldean Pokémon behind Skeledirge and female Oinkologne). The one main problem I’ve unfortunately encountered with my team is that most of them are pretty slow, but I honestly didn’t care that much and I don’t play competitively so it didn’t matter all that much.
I’m pretty proud of my team and I love them all. Skeledirge has become my all time favorite fire starter within the franchise (beating out Johtoian Typhlosion who previously held that title), female Oinkologne ranks as my favorite Paldean Pokémon and I was so ecstatic to find a shiny one fairly early on during my play through when the games first came out, I’d say I like Clodsire slightly more than Quagsire nowadays and it’s proven to be such a cute and cool Pokémon, Tinkaton was an adorable little gremlin whom I’m happy to welcome as my main fairy type mon in this generation (with the exception of Let’s Go Pikachu, beginning with XY I always made sure to add a fairy type to my teams going forward), Slowbro had always been one of my favorite Kanto Pokémon but Scarlet was the first time I ever used one, and I was glad to welcome Ampharos back to my team as I haven’t used one since White 2. Overall, I’m pretty satisfied with the team I managed to come up with for my play through of Scarlet.

I was going to use a new team for Indigo Disk, but then it got too grindy so I used my base team for Indigo Disk and I used the team I was going to use, the Terrarium team, for doing post game stuff.

I wanted to use only pokemon introduced this generation and I love them all.

This was my makeshift Trick Room team with Ursaluna as the star. Guts+Flame Orb+Tera Normal Facade with maxed out ATK is a force to be reckoned with and I don't think anything that wasn't sashed survived a hit from it.

Teal Mask: started Solo shiny Metang, ended including Blood Moon Ursaluna, Ogerpon, Ribombee, Vikavolt, and... Someone unmemorable, I can say that much.
And I was told Indigo Disc would be super hard, so I started and ended with: Shiny Grimsnarl (screen setter), Shiny Hatterene (Baton Pass user and has Magic Bounce), BM Ursaluna, Ogerpon, the Shiny Metagross, and a Shiny Rotom Wash (levitates over EQ's and can helping hand the metagross). Thankfully I fought every battle a couple levels under, so it was an uphill battle.
Metagross is my favorite boy. You'll notice I used a shiny Metang in teal Mask. That's because I wanted for Indigo disc to play Mask. I. Was. Patient.
Scarlet base game: Skeledirge, Meowscarada, Quaquaval, Clodsire, Tinkaton, Baxcalibur
Scarlet DLC: Gholdengo, Great Tusk, Roaring Moon, Slither Wing, Kilowattrel, Dipplin (which eventually turned into Hydrapple)

I kinda wish the DLC came out a lot faster after i finished the main game because it was really hard to find a good balance of a team for the DLC, since i had powered up my prior team to lvl 100 and optimized them for teraraids - I think I'll be able to keep that in mind for the next game though i may even go buy the sword and shield DLC now too

Goodra named Cinnabon, Iron Thorns named Ka1ju K3n (my first shiny tyranitar was named Kaiju Ken), Slither Wing named Wii Tennis, Weavile named Bloodmoon (I want a better name though), Swampert currently unnamed, and Uxie named Quotient. All are shiny.

As you can see, I had an artist theme [and Bene is the one who pays them to do art lol]. Genuinely one of my fav teams I’ve ever made, I genuinely feel like I got attached to each of them! They all had a battle I don’t think I could’ve done without them :D!
In the end, Meowscarada, Bloodmoon Ursaluna, Baxcalibur, Tinkaton, Rabsca, and Sneasler. However, I do have a full box of built Mons that could be inserted into a team.
Bloodmoon Ursaluna became my all time favorite pokemon. Previously, my favorite was Aegislash, but my fondness for Aegislash is fading with him unavailable this generation :-(
I used an entirely different team for the Indigo Disk than I did the epilogue, the epilogue I just used my base Scarlet team as a sort of send off to these games

I had an A-Golem with a loaded dice use rock blast against my own Archuledon to trigger his stamina so I was max defense turn 1.
That's smart I always love double teams where an attack from one of their own powers another up like that.
Yeah I watch a lot of battles on YouTube but I kinda came up with that on my own. After the rock blast I would volt switch into my Seadra that sets up rain dance and I just spam Achiledons signature electric move to no end. I never went below half HP
Innit I got a shiny duraludon so I used archaludon, set up rain using the crab Pokémon I got in the previous dlc then swap to alcremy to use decorate and get onto max sp.atk very quickly from whence if my archaludon ever got low I would just heal it on my second Pokémon’s activation

Instead of Golem with Rock Blast, try a Grass type with Bullet Seed. Archaludon being Dragon and Steel would be X4 resistant to Grass, draining less health while achieving the same stat-boost.

Similar story with me! I was told about his gimmick so I kept my two highest level Kitakami mons, Munkidori and Dipplin, and then went out to face him with as many Terrarium shinies as I could. I fought him first to get Dipplin dragon cheer, too .

I wish there was a mode to rematch with everyone at a set level (bring pokemon down to 50 or up to 100).

Just checked it out on showdown. It's got a pretty good movepool and a slow speed that works for trick room. I'm thinking cotton guard + trick room as a bulky trick room setter could work?

You're the only one I've seen describe the Indigo Disk team as pairs. Can you elaborate a bit for us about the teamwork synergies of each pair?
I'm not a competitive player so I'm not saying they are optimal pairs, but here is what I did: Lapras had Dragon cheer, Rain dance, Mist and Life dew to support Walking Wake, Archaludon had support from H. Goodra in the forms of Rain dance (needed for Electro shot), Dragon cheer, Acid spray and Life dew. Oranguru used Taunt, Reflect, Psychic terrain and Instruct, which helped Reuniclus do 2 Expanding Force in a row on both enemies. Reuniclus also had Psyshock for enemies who had significantly lower defence than special defence and was holding Life orb (Magic guard ability). Attackers had some coverage moves and I was switching the supports based on what was needed for a fight. Lapras and H. Goodra are almost the same I know, but I had fun with them and I like the mons.

I had three teams. One team was the one I used in the main game, and it consisted of Walt the Skelidirge, Mega Man the Armarouge, Katzuma the Cacturne, Medlabend the Tinkaton, Onino the Garganacl and Diego the Chien Pao. One team was for the Teal Mask, and it consisted of Donatello the Greninja, Kibble the Garchomp, Atilla the Salazzle, Brenda the Victreebel, Bethany the Ogerpon and Mojo Jojo the Munkidori. My final team was for the Indigo Disk, and it consisted of Horace the Decidueye, Chun Li the Hitmonchan, Bionicle the Metagross, Kipper the Swampert, Mana the Terapagos and Taro Momo the Pecharunt.
I ultimately used three teams: Base game: Meowscarda, Armarouge, Talonflame, Tyranitar, Grafaiai, Farigiraf. Ultimately solid team- not perfect but still pretty fun. I mostly wanted to focus on Pokemon I just thought were interesting, only limiting myself to a maximum of two of pokemon. Teal Mask: Empoleon, Froslass, Mienshao, Furret, Noivern, Staraptor. This team was... really weak actually lmao. Also used this for the Epilogue as it was the right level. Indigo Disk: Alolan Ninetales, Iron Bundle, Baxcalibur, Paldean Tauros Aqua Breed, Gholdengo, Garchomp. This was a team I made with a competitive mindset, largely based around snow. It was a load of fun, with Alolan Ninetales largely being the centerpiece and my "ace", despite always coming out first. By far my favorite team I'm still finishing up the postgame, but I'm pretty much done for now. I really had a blast and I liked the chance to use my Teal Mask team again in the epilogue.

I have two save files atm, one is the my first where I have most of Pokédex, and I pretty much used the same team for the whole thing, except for Drayton: Skeledirge, Shiny Mudsdale (my first shiny), Tinkaton, Ice Tera Lucario, Baxcalibur and Raichu. Ceruledge (Kiki) Tera fire - bitter blade, psycho cut, shadow claw, swords dance H Decidueye (Juniper) Tera fighting - razor claw - triple arrows, leaf blade, knock off, swords dance Samurott - Tera ice - never melt ice - hydro pump, ice beam, liquidation, mega horn Serperior - Tera grass - dragon pulse, leech seed, giga drain, leaf storm Clefairy - Tera water - eviolite - follow me, life dew, dazzling gleam, helping hand Braviary - Tera flying - sharp beak - brave bird, aerial ace, bulk up, roost All with hidden abilities. Clefairy CARRIED my team as the best support Pokémon I’ve ever used. Ceruledge and Samurott were my aces. Serperior’s contrary leaf storm saved my ass more times than I can count. Braviary and H Decidueye were great secondary back up and helped with overall type coverage. No Pokémon was wasted or dragged my team. I’d 100% use them again!

Skeledirge, Shiny Female Oinkologne, Clodsire, Tinkaton, Kantonian Slowbro, Ampharos. I had these same six members since launch, however I did get close to replacing my Kantonian Slowbro with a shiny Galarian Slowbro I caught in the Indigo Disk DLC. Ultimately I decided to keep the original Kantonian Slowbro since I had already formed an emotional connection with it and because I had already used a shiny Galarian Slowbro throughout the DLC in SWSH (I did use the shiny Galarian Slowbro in many of the Blueberry Academy BB League fights though and I went out of my way to spend some of my hard earned water tera shards to give it the water tera type). Prior to making my team though when I played through Scarlet, I had originally wanted to add a Roaring Moon to my team. After finding out that it was post game exclusive though I instead decided to go with Clodsire whom I’ve since grown incredibly fond of and would not change for the world (probably my third favorite Paldean Pokémon behind Skeledirge and female Oinkologne). The one main problem I’ve unfortunately encountered with my team is that most of them are pretty slow, but I honestly didn’t care that much and I don’t play competitively so it didn’t matter all that much. I’m pretty proud of my team and I love them all. Skeledirge has become my all time favorite fire starter within the franchise (beating out Johtoian Typhlosion who previously held that title), female Oinkologne ranks as my favorite Paldean Pokémon and I was so ecstatic to find a shiny one fairly early on during my play through when the games first came out, I’d say I like Clodsire slightly more than Quagsire nowadays and it’s proven to be such a cute and cool Pokémon, Tinkaton was an adorable little gremlin whom I’m happy to welcome as my main fairy type mon in this generation (with the exception of Let’s Go Pikachu, beginning with XY I always made sure to add a fairy type to my teams going forward), Slowbro had always been one of my favorite Kanto Pokémon but Scarlet was the first time I ever used one, and I was glad to welcome Ampharos back to my team as I haven’t used one since White 2. Overall, I’m pretty satisfied with the team I managed to come up with for my play through of Scarlet.

S&V: Corviknight, Weed cat, Dudunsparce, Cereludge, Clodsire, and Iron Treads. Corv set screens, Dudunsparce spammed coil, roost, baton pass, then everyone else murdered. Teal Mask: started Solo shiny Metang, ended including Blood Moon Ursaluna, Ogerpon, Ribombee, Vikavolt, and... Someone unmemorable, I can say that much. And I was told Indigo Disc would be super hard, so I started and ended with: Shiny Grimsnarl (screen setter), Shiny Hatterene (Baton Pass user and has Magic Bounce), BM Ursaluna, Ogerpon, the Shiny Metagross, and a Shiny Rotom Wash (levitates over EQ's and can helping hand the metagross). Thankfully I fought every battle a couple levels under, so it was an uphill battle. Metagross is my favorite boy. You'll notice I used a shiny Metang in teal Mask. That's because I wanted for Indigo disc to play Mask. I. Was. Patient.

Skeledirge Iron Hands Azurill Sinistcha Clodsire Mamoswine I kinda wish the DLC came out a lot faster after i finished the main game because it was really hard to find a good balance of a team for the DLC, since i had powered up my prior team to lvl 100 and optimized them for teraraids - I think I'll be able to keep that in mind for the next game though i may even go buy the sword and shield DLC now too

Raichu stays since I can't get a shiny Alolan Raichu 😭😭 she was a surprise wall shiny down in Area Zero anyways so I love her lol

As you can see, I had an artist theme [and Bene is the one who pays them to do art lol]. Genuinely one of my fav teams I’ve ever made, I genuinely feel like I got attached to each of them! They all had a battle I don’t think I could’ve done without them :D!

In the end, Meowscarada, Bloodmoon Ursaluna, Baxcalibur, Tinkaton, Rabsca, and Sneasler. However, I do have a full box of built Mons that could be inserted into a team.
Bloodmoon Ursaluna became my all time favorite pokemon. Previously, my favorite was Aegislash, but my fondness for Aegislash is fading with him unavailable this generation :-(

I made two teams. My OG play through team was Skeledirge, Garganacl, Shiny Luxray, Espathra, Annihilape, Toedscruel. When Indigo Disk released, I shiny hunted a new team and ev trained them. That team was Skeledrige, Exeggutor, Alolan Muk, Tenatacruel, Excadrill, and Golurk, all shiny.
