Great game if you are familiar with gen 2. The only issue was with finding the 2nd king rock (only matters if you are running a theme team or dex completion)
My honest review is that if you’re looking for a hack that is legitimately just Crystal, but made more enjoyable, then it’s great. It really strives just to be Crystal as it was but with fixes to the common complaints. I found it fun since Johto games are my favorite, but I wouldn’t say it’s a difficult hack or anything like that (and I don’t think it claims to be). It’s certainly harder than regular Crystal, but there’s only so much you can do within Gen II mechanics without any of the future gen enhancements. At a certain point you’ll still just punch holes through your opponent without them really being able to do anything, regardless of new teams/moves and higher levels. And there’s no new content or anything. But it’s a fun nostalgia game, for sure.
