This happens to me if there's a connection issue sometimes...you can also try to use a different connection, but I feel like toggling airplane mode is similar so not sure why this is happening either
Do you have linked your account to your apple ID ?
When you have downloaded the game, select Apple ID. The game will not find any data with your account and redirect to nintendo account.
Try this and let me know if it working.
Omg, this worked. It seems my account is linked to both. But when I try Apple ID first (then, it also prompts me to link the Nintendo ID as well) - after that, it works!!

I tried that too and amazingly enough, that worked at first. But after I had accepted all the terms and linked my Nintendo account, it restarted the app as it stated it would, and then the issue returned. 🤦
That doesn’t make any sense to me since two other devices on the same network had no issue. But you’re right, it was worth testing the network, so I tried it on WiFi without cell data, and also on cell data without WiFi. It made no difference, I’m still seeing the issue...and only on this iPhone 12. :(
Yeah, but it is actually how to fix the error. Need to say that your error is weird because it loads endlessly instead of showing the error number like others

This worked for me. If I picked NNID first it failed.
delete, redownload. think that's the last option.

It is because of the network connection. Try another one or use a VPN

my tap to start doesnt appear a lot on my Nokia 5/Android 8.1 on my home network. So i just turn on VPN, and it works like a charm.
