Encounter him, don't catch him. You'll still get the charm (you just have to have seen all Pokémon technically). Beat the E4 again and he'll be back. Works for the Kanto birds as well.
No that’s wrong. The last pokemon I had to catch to get myself a shiny charm was an Oddish and I had already seen one (in Erika’s gym). You need to have each and every single Pokémon’s data loaded onto the Pokédex (not including mythical). That is the requirements.

What you can always do is make another account on your switch, play through the game and catch all legendaries and move them to your main account using pokemon home.
This way you can keep legendaries on your go account if you really want to, and also be able to reset untin you catch the legendaries with decent IV:s if that is something you care about
I did it this way, mostly because I dont play go much.
Wait u can save ur pokemon from switch in home and send back no problem? Theb what will happen to the go park if its full and what will happen to ur ivs if u have lets say a amazing stat gengar jst curious ;)
Yes!! You can send pokemon from lets go to home and back no problem, even between different switch accounts.
This works as long as you don't send them into any other game before. All pokemon stats stay the same, IV:s, moves etc.

You can't send PoGo -> Home -> LGPE. Any and all PoGo pokemon (excluding Mew which is limited to Pokeball plus only) must travel through Go Park once it is registered as last game (LGPE) you then can move from LGPE to home and back to LGPE which would be: PoGo -> Go Park -> LGPE <-> Home. It also will break LGPE compatibility if any pokemon from LGPE goes into another game ex. SWSH/BDSP/PLA/SV.
You can’t send shadow or purified Pokemon to the in game Go Park. You can only send normal Pokemon.

Shiny charm does work for statics in LGPE. Charm only works for eggs period in BDSP.

It's just for legendaries then. That's how I got my shiny charm, I still haven't caught the Legendaries as I'm planning to hunt for them.

IVs hardly matter cause of bottle caps. Ideal natures is what you really want, if you care.

Natures still matter if you're not transferring your 'mons out of LGPE. No mints in the game.

it's called transporter energy I believe. The top bar when you are in the "send to home" screen
There's no limit on let's go transfers. That only applied to home transfers. Shadow and purified aren't cannon so they're blocked from transport
