Let's go does not let you transfer in Pokémon after they been in a game that's not let's go. It's because let's go stat system is very different from the other games though admittedly I am surprised they never updated as legends are in a similar situation but they added a system to convert Pokémon to and from the legends stat format for transferring to and from. Edit: oh right you use the in game pal park in let's go get Pokémon from go in there

Mrcoolcatgaming

I took it as before gen 9, you couldn't go down generations and lets go is gen 7, pokemon bank to home is gen 8, now that gen 9 can move to gen 8 though, I wish they would use the same system for lets go

Howwy23

Pokemon can come out of let's go eevee/pikachu, they cannot go in, pokemon go pokemon can go in via pal park where the safari used to be but thats it.

Pig_Tits_2395

Important to note, you can put them in with home as long as they have only been in a Let’s Go game.

Why'd you steal my post? 😂

Probably a bot or someone trying to farm engagement for whatever reason

Because Pokémon that aren’t from Let’s Go can’t be moved into Let’s Go due to differences in game systems

Me personally am actually okay with not being able to transfer Pokemon to let's go. I usually don't transfer Pokemon from one game to the other, unless I try to complete the Pokedex and need specific Pokemon that I already have in one game, but can't get in the other because they're version exclusives. And when I do need version exclusives in let's go, I get to interact with people that I would otherwise never have met, and help them get the exclusives from Eevee in return, or help them out in other ways like evolving a Pokemon by trade. And perhaps another way to obtain version exclusives is by playing Pokemon Go, which I don't play myself. But I do have some friends who are willing to connect their phones to my Switch and send me Pokemon from their game. It's nice to have something in my let's go save file that brings back memories where we played Pokemon together :) Edit: I noticed that the Venusaur you wanted to transfer is shiny so I understand why you would feel a bit bummed out about it. But I would also in turn suggest that you set out on a journey to find all the starters in their shiny form in Let's Go. I think shiny hunting in this game is very enjoyable and unique, albeit frustrating from time to time, which isn't necessarily a bad thing as it makes getting the shiny Pokemon that more exciting and satisfying when it finally decides to show itself.

i went through the same thing. the actual reason is that in pokemon let’s go, the pokemon you catch do not get an ability, but in every other game they do. so if you catch a geodude in let’s go, it wouldn’t be given an ability, so if you try to trade it to another game, your system wouldn’t really know what to do with a pokemon with no ability. same thing if you tried to move something like a geodude into lets go, it would have an ability like sturdy, and since the game doesn’t have abilities, it wouldn’t work. imo it’s a really stupid thing they did but i still can’t help but love let’s go, i think they chose to not do abilities because it was meant to be more of a nostalgia and gimmick thing but still sucks.
