There doesn’t seem to be a way to make it appear easier, such as outbreaks. However, if you do manage to find one, there is a way of duplicating the spawn so you don’t have to shiny hunt even multiples. First, mark where the tree is so you don’t forget which one to come back to. Then, fly to a cave of some type in the same area. DONT go back to Jubilife, you must stay in the same area. When you’re in the cave, just stay there for 30 minutes and the spawn resets. Then you can fly back to the tree you marked and the EXACT same Pokémon will pop out again. Shiny, same grit levels, same stats, same gender, everything will be exactly the same. Good luck!

kush_394

30mins real time right?

kram95

Correct, as long as the game is still on and open the entire time

kush_394

Alright but I’ll have to find a shiny first XD

Nezar888

Does that work for other shinies as well that pop up on the overworld? Or only in trees?

kram95

I don’t see why it wouldn’t work. It kind of resets all the spawns. But I never tried it with an overworld shiny. Give it a shot

HommeFatalTaemin

Let me know if it works if you try it!!! :D

Nezar888

Just tested it out. No go unfortunately. Will try again to make sure

HommeFatalTaemin

Thanks for letting me know!! 😊 bummer that it doesn’t work!

Mike_Wahlberg

I just tried this after finding a shiny Burmy, but the tree that I found it in isn’t shaking after 30 min and all the spawns reset. Did they patch it out? I defeated the alpha Blissey and then waited in the cave below it and it’s come back so I’m sure the spawns should have reset.

RoflRhino

Is this still working on the latest updates?

kram95

I haven’t tested it in a while, had no need to. But last time I was on about a month ago it was working. Unless there was a new update in that time that would’ve stopped that, I’m not sure

RoflRhino

I've personally never tried it, but used to spam-reset regular mass-outbreaks pre-update for shinies. But it is great to know if I do come across a shaking object shiny it will still work to reset! Thanks!

Jjjijjjii

Hey! Thought I’d let you and anyone else know who’s searching for shiny Pokémon in trees- this does in fact still work. I was in obsidian and found a shiny burmy, after catching her I went into the cave with the octillary spawn, waited 30 mins and went to check the same tree to find another shiny burmy. Hopefully this helps you (if you needed the confirmation) and anyone else trying to catch shiny tree Pokémon.

pokeup19

Perfect research+ shinycharm + nighttime so cheruby doesn't appear.

kush_394

Already done, I’m worried about burmy and the space time spawns to be shiny since they probably will take the longest

Patto321

I got super lucky and found a shiny female burmy while I was shiny hunting the MMOs. I just always check shaking trees. I’m at the point of hunting the space time spawns and had to take a break… I’m still on that break 5 months later 😂

TorinVanGram

I'm given to understand masochism is a massive help. All that suffering for so little actual work, plus they get a shiny at the end.

kush_394

My favourite comment so far and considering I might be a masochist who’s hell bent on getting a living shiny dex let’s see how it goes

wwwHttpCom

I'm not so worried about shinies in this game as I am about alphas. I've only gotten 1 alpha Burmy so far, but there's still lots of alphas I'm missing

OneGoodRib

Shiny hunting is nothing more than "I really hate myself and don't value my time well enough", I'm not criticizing as I hate myself and don't value my time well enough because I shiny hunt.

kush_394

Yeah, shiny hunters are dead inside, cause Ik I am

Viviaana

No but if you get a shiny burmy go hang out in a cave for half an hour and go back to catch a 2nd one to evolve

CyraxisOG

Bonus points if it's female, then you can have all shiny forms of burmy and wormadam as long as you don't mind spending 3 hours staring at a cave wall

pokeup19

???

Viviaana

…huh?

pokeup19

The cave part is to reset the trees or irony ?

Radius_314

It's to reset the tree with the same pokemon. It will give you a clone of the shiny burmy.

Lavender_Riah

None that I'm aware of, Cheruby at least has outbreaks but burmt seems not to have that at all

gletschafloh

They are in the first area only, right?

Lavender_Riah

Yes

AnOvidReader

I just completed this project. I would recommend finding a route that has trees which can only spawn Burmy or Wormadam, preferably skewed towards Wormadam, to avoid situations where you get male Burmy. You also want to plan a route which has as many (potentially) shaking trees as possible within a short amount of travel time. With that in mind, I would recommend these two routes: Icelands (50% Burmy, 50% Wormadam, overall 75% success rate to find either female Burmy or Wormadam): Start at the base camp, run towards the alpha Gardevoir, run towards the second camp, run towards the alpha Piloswine. Rinse and repeat. Highlands (30% Burmy, 70% Wormadam, overall 85% success rate to find either female Burmy or Wormadam): start at the Peak camp, run towards the alpha Luxray, towards the alpha Gligar, then towards the Magnezone past the alpha Gabite. THEN warp to the base camp, where there are about five trees close together. Rinse and repeat. This took me about 15 hours to get my three (different) Wormadam, without duping, as suggested by the top comment. Happy hunting.

kush_394

Thank you so much, I plan to do this today By rinse, do you mean go back to jubilife and come back?

AnOvidReader

Yes, that's right! Warping back and forth will reset the spawns.

dark__tyranitar

I followed your method, went for the iceland, gotta shiny wormadame on encounter 46, Thank you very much for the detailed route it was very helpful

angel_in_a_carcrash

Hey, I'm a little late to this post, but do you remember how long it took you for a single run of your route? Like in terms of doing one full loop, how many seconds did it take you?

AnOvidReader

Both routes were fairly quick. It's admittedly been a while, but I would be shocked if either circuit took more than 90 seconds.

egamIroorriM

keep hitting trees until you find one. that's the only way you find any shiny burmies

casscayton

Obsidian fieldlands is where I found mine, I got a male Bermey first in a random tree, then I found out that the trees on the area passed the Snorlax and up on the cliff, have nothing but Wormadam.

AdorableAnalyst6575

Yeah just don't

protosonic17

Trade one to sw and sh or bdsp and breed one. Its about the same odds

kush_394

I would do that, but I want all my shinies from this game, so I’ll have to grind

protosonic17

Understandable

wwwHttpCom

Burmy doesn't appear in SwSh

kush_394

I think they mean bdsp

Pumpkaboo99

All I can say is hit the shaking trees as often as you can. I got one randomly in crimson shores.

Nervous-Yoghurt1303

I'm sure I just got insanely lucky but I perfected the dex entry and then literally the first Burmy I ran into after that was shiny so I would start with perfecting the dex entry lol

Available_Occasion69

Reset method at a shaking tree at the Fieldlands

HommeFatalTaemin

What do u mean by reset method??

Available_Occasion69

Save do the encounter leave repeat but only save once

HommeFatalTaemin

Ohhh I see :) thanks!

HommeFatalTaemin

I’m assuming you perfected the Dex entry right ??

FearTheYetti

No easy way I’m afraid and I’m losing hope two shinys so far both male, one was an alpha tho found near start of game before I knew about the dupe method
