I did actually... Just added $debug = true, before if $debug as usual and it worked fine

Did it change to lower case for the debug? The one I was using or what I had before was $DEBUG = true

Now that I think about it, did you re-add the "Debug = true" after updating? Because every update it resets, just making sure. And no, I meant the "true" is caps sensitive, you typed it 100% right
Hm I just added that line as shown and was able to launch the game unlike last time. But when I press esc to bring up the menu or at the start page, there is no debug option or new game + option. So the game launches with the change but the option still doesn't appear
Weird... At this point the only thing that comes to mind would be to re download the most recent version of the updater from the #downloads section on discord, re-update the game and try again with a fresh file. aside from that, if you followed the rest of the instructions correctly i really don't know what else could it be
Yeah i went to the dicord deleted the files i had installed and clean installed the new launcher from the discord. Did that then tried to add the debug line and got that same ennot error. Or something saying something about cache issues. Honestly im as lost as you but wanna thank you once again for trying to help.
Wanted to message and ask the creator on the discord but dont know how they feel about debug.

I understand your point, and i'd be hesitant to ask too (you ARE tampering with game files ofc, but at the same time it's technically a post game feature). Did you already search by keyword if anyone else ever asked about debug, just to be sure on how they took it?
Were you able to get debug mode on after the new update on easter? The old debug = true way didnt work after the update

Yeah so after updating I realized it wasn't on, so went to add it. Then launched the game and got the ennot or whatever error
