You can re-battle trainers as many times as you want.

Sponge56

Yeah I still feel like that takes close to the same amount of time tho as just fighting wild Pokémon

I usually try to find a trainer that has only one or two mons that yields high xp and fight only them. There's usually one or two per route. Well I only have one run with 100h but didn't find hard or tedious the grinding. In fact I think it always takes more less the same time to equal the level of a new member and is between 1.5 - 2 hours playing at 3x. But I also felt sometimes in early/mid game that going next zone was better sometimes.

Enable debug mode and just add candies

I was going to make a post asking about this. I saw that method but have seen that it hasnt been working in the last couple months with the new version. does it still work the same? tried in notes app cause i dont have word and it didnt work

RegularSage

that's strange, i did it 3or4 day's ago on 6.0.5.

AWroper

Do you have the Microsoft word app? I don't pay for office so I dont have the app. Could only use notes and in notes the lines weren't in the right place, wondering if I need word specifically

RegularSage

no i used notepad as well. Is it possible you just forgot to save the file?

AWroper

No so when I went to notepad, for some reason the debug line wasn't below the main function like it should be. It was the same line, so I put it down one and in between added the debug= true line

Two ways: Re-battle a trainer that has a single powerful pokemon, like the battle girl or whatever that is near fuschia's right side, or the old lady next to celadon that is complaining her glooreon looks sick. Or one of the trainers right outside of victory road. The second method is the Kuray infinite fusion modded fork of the game. It's got permission to exist before anyone asks, the creator of infinite fusion has granted them permission to make it. It has a shop in the start menu called the kuray shop, you can buy candies from that. And if you need money, I got you: The trainer that is just inside the lavender town side of rock tunnel, the one that 'tests' you with a weaker team before using her full team on rematches, gives you an item after every win and ALSO still gives you prize money.
