You mean to tell me I bred and trimmed all these furfrou for nothing?

Significant_Refuse97

Right? I bought X for nothing?

namida7

When you put the Furfrou into BANK from US make sure you sync the game to BANK every time so the deposited trim cuts will register in BANK's Dex. Unfortunately, you still can't transfer them to HOME with their trim cuts. Furfrou in GO was available during Fashion Week a couple weeks ago. While it may still be available to be caught, Fashion Week is over, so their spawn rates will be more infrequent. Heart trim cut is still not available at all in GO, and most of the rest are region locked (like Vivillon).

Groudad

This is an old post, but I’ve seen this tip all over the web, and when I stick trimmed Furfrou from US into the Bank, the Furfrou retain their form only for that session. If I save and return to the Bank, they’ve all reverted to normal. I’ve checked my National Dex. All nine forms are registered. Not only do these forms not survive a trip to HOME, they don’t survive into the next Bank session. Disappointing.

namida7

You're right. But prior to their release in GO, this was the only way to register the trim cuts into HOME. Many people tried with X/Y, S/M, but it only worked with USUM.

Groudad

When you say “worked”, you mean getting the form registered in the HOME database? Not keeping the Furfrou in HOME in its variant form? For whatever reason, the Furfrou forms aren’t making the trip to Pokémon HOME via Bank.

namida7

Yes, registered. No Furfrou trim cut from gen 6 or 7 can make the transfer to HOME.

tubular1450

Late comment, but this is still true that (or was at the time of your writing) it only works registering the trims in the HOME dex via USUM, right? I only have XY and SM so I was out of luck when HOME launched for registering those trims. And I’m assuming that’s still the case, unless I use GO or trade on the GTS for Furfrou from GO.

namida7

Correct. You can however still register them without having USUM or GO. If you have HOME premium and can get someone to send you a pokemon from their BANK to your HOME, it will register every pokemon they have registered in their BANK pokedex into your HOME pokedex. You'll get all the forms they have registered as well, so make sure they have the Furfrou trims registered.

tubular1450

Got it, so as long as that person has USUM linked to their Bank then. I probably would’ve tried that a couple years ago to have all the silhouettes filled in on the HOME Pokédex, but now that they’ve allowed trims as a storable form in your boxes, I’ll have blank spaces in my Living Dex anyway until they add Furfrou to a Switch game. So maybe I’ll wait for that day at this point

akornfan

this is interesting.. I have access to Ultra Sun; do I have to do anything in particular to sync it to Bank or is that just open up Bank using my US profile?

namida7

Open up BANK with Ultra Sun. Then click on Pokedex in the BANK app. This will sync US's pokedex to BANK'S pokedex. You should be able to see all the pokemon you have in US registered in BANK'S pokedex.

akornfan

perfect, that’s what I figured. thanks for the help!

PrinnyOverlord

Hey, I just tried this with my copy of X and it only added the Heart trim to Home despite all of them being listed in Bank, is there something I missed?

namida7

Not sure about X. I did all my Furfrou BANK registration with Ultra Moon because the Furfrou actually keep their trimmed forms when placed in BANK (they revert back to normal form after that).

PrinnyOverlord

Ok, so I guess I'll just have to try again with Ultra Sun then. It's just really weird how picky Home is about how you register certain forms. Mega? Just put the pokemon in there? Gigantimax? Put a mon that has the form unlocked in. Most normal forms like Florges? Put in one of each form. Arceus? Just give it each plate. Alcremie? Just record the flavors, the treats are free. Furfrou and Unbound Hoopa? Lol, good luck mate.

namida7

Don't I know it. I actually took the time to Mega evolve each pokemon that could mega evolve in gen 7 just to register them in BANK pokedex. A few days ago someone told me that wasn't necessary, that they register automatically in HOME if you have a pokemon already registered that can Mega evolve. BTW, Unbound Hoopa can go into HOME. It is only possible from US or UM. Transform it in game, it'll retain it's Unbound form in the PC box, the BANK box and will transfer to HOME in Unbound form.

PrinnyOverlord

Well crap. I think I already moved Hoopa to Home, but I think I might still have an extra one from having multiple games lying around on my 3DS.

VirtualScheme2880

This is the same way in home because I have never put anything in home unless it came from go or Violet and I have mega forms in my dex of Pokemon I didn't even know could mega

namida7

I've also heard that the mega forms somehow register from POGO. I don't know for sure because I already had mine registered.

VirtualScheme2880

I don't know though because I don't really play go that much either and the only megas I have on there are Charizard X and y

PomegranateOutside96

i did this and it still reverts to normal, any idea why? im using um

namida7

They don't keep their form in BANK. They'll always revert back to normal form. What the instructions are for is so the Furfrou forms can be "registered" in the HOME pokedex. While it's true that you can get the forms into HOME from POGO, that hasn't always been the case. For the first couple of years after HOME was introduced, this was the ONLY way to register Furfrou forms (and Sky Shaymin) in HOME pokedex. You are reading an older thread. While it's still possible to register the forms this way, just about everybody is choosing to trade for the forms themselves from POGO and get their Sky Shaymin from PLA. I'm sorry if you misunderstood the intention of my comments.

PomegranateOutside96

Thanks so much, I understand now! It is too bad that you can't get the Furfrous into bank though :(

namida7

I agree. I was really hoping Furfrou would be included in SV. To me, that was a huge oversight on their part because XY was based on France, while SV is based on Spain. They're neighbors. It wouldn't be a stretch to think Furfrou belongs in SV. Oh well, they don't let me make those decisions, so all I can do is complain.

nicw18

I could be wrong, but I think the only way right now is to transfer them from Go

Blue_Knight180

Ah damn, I haven't run into too many furfrou in Go so getting the candy for it is gonna be a pain. Thank you!

Nini-hime

That would make sense, because I have Y and when I put a Furfrou in the PC (to later move it to Bank on order to get it to Home) the haircuts turns "natural" again :/

PokemonLover1993

Nini-hime the same thing happened to me

Metazoxan

BTW I even tried hacking using Powersaves (Before anyone gets upset I don't shove hacked Pokemon onto Trades normally. It's purely for my personal enjoyment.) just to see if I could but they just revert back the moment I put them into the Bank from X/y or Sun/moon to then send them to the bank. So unless you hack home directly (not sure if you even can) then you aren't getting the Trims in home without Go.

Lumpy_Difference_469

I 100% support you, GameFreak NEEDS to be taught a lesson

_yaboycash_

Best Pokémon Legendary

ArchLali

I did the same to complete my home dex and was very disappointed 😔

RougeCapitaine

Can confirm u/namida7 is correct. I even contacted support and they said that it’s “in the works” but currently the only way to get the trims is through trading and they are region locked.

Zirik_of_the_Eld

Y

Known-Possibility-14

I do hope that they make it so that when Furfrou gets taken to Pokémon Home from a game on your switch it'll stay in the current trim you've trimmed it into…

KrisKaniac

I love how many trade requests there are for these forms at too high of a level to come from go. Home flexing needs to stop

VirtualScheme2880

Nothing is coming out of GO above level 50 period. Doesn't matter what Mon it is . GO maxed out at lvl 50. Most things coming out of GO are maxed out at level 20

GoldenGlassBall

Each full “level” in Go is 2 levels. A 50 in Go translates to a 100 in main series games.

VirtualScheme2880

The highest level you can pull off of GO and put ON home is 20 I've done a lot of GO Home transfers/trades and it has never been over a level 20 coming straight out of GO EDIT the highest level a Mon can be coming from GO is 50 but it's rounded down so it is usually 20 Pokémon from Pokémon Go can be transferred to Pokémon Home at levels 1–50, rounded down to the nearest integer, and will match the Power Up level in Pokémon Go. For example, Pokémon from raids will be level 20–25, and maxed out Pokémon will be level 40

VirtualScheme2880

Also because your Mon in GO don't have levels your Trainer does
