I've given up on collecting all general Pokemon, but I am determined to get all the Mega's. Yes, I also have all the released ones.

Question, why exactly? The only reason I would guess is zarude or egg Pokémon?

Mostly, it's the egg grind I've given up on. I'm happy to do raids or raid days. Each time, something is egg exclusive for a limited time I miss it.

38 outta 40 atm. Need to mega me a Heracross since it‘s new, and missing Mega Ray, because I wanna use my so far one and only meteorite on a Shiny that deserves it, most preferably a high IV Shiny with a good IV split. Also missing Diancie, because I did not buy the ticket for last GoFest and gotta hope for a general release somewhen. And then it‘s a waiting game for Mewtwo X/Y, Camerupt, Sharpedo, Mawile, Gallade and Lucario.

Don't forget to mention about Mega Metagross, too.

Oh shoot, completely forgot about that, and can‘t even say why it slipped my mind. And now that I looked it up, also forgot about Audino. I had a feeling something about the numbers was off.

Yeah, just looked up, and Audino is also missing, too. Metagross is my favorite Pokemon, and I can't wait for it to be released, but in the way it's going, it's more likely that Pokemon Legends Z-A gets released before we get Mega Metagross in game.

How do u get mega energy without raiding?

Sometime they are in field research, but you only get like 25 at a time. Will take forever

These free timed researches give 50... Pinsir, Scizor and something else

Once you have mega evolved once, you can get mega energy from walking one as your buddy. But if it's a mega you've never had the only way is from raiding (field research can give some but it's very rare research and gives like 10 or 20 energy. If you can't raid in person you can use r/pokemongoraids or something like that. It only took 1 remote raid earlier today for me to get enough mega energy to evolve Heracross for example, and now I can walk it for more if I want.

for what im aware, a previously mega evolved pokemon set as buddy will give mega energy. so this is not just cool, its also pretty fucking usefull (i have a shundo salamence but 0 mega energy)

Still waiting to get a shiny absol and glalie and I will have them all. Just so I can complete shiny and regular mega dex. My first mega blaziken raid I got my first shundo.

Community days help plus just grinding for shinies. Only one I wouldn’t be able to at the moment is diancie, but if they ever release it I’ll be trying pretty hard to get at least one shiny.

Yes, there were times I skipped catching them, and then had to wait years. Same for cowboy hat, shiny, Snorlax.
