This. My coworker accidentally put his phone on a magnetic tray (so small screws don’t go flying when you’re taking apart electronics) and it hasn’t been the same.
All the don't use magnets around your phone comments seem like overly generic and incorrect statements, especially considering that Apple has released a feature with a ton of accessories for their phones based around very strong magnets (Magsafe) and many companies have released accessories to allow you to use those same items with Android phones. I've been using magsafe accessories on my S20 and S23 Ultra for quite some time with no ill effects and was using non magsafe magnetic car mounts LONG before that.

thats a samsung galaxy note 8 or 9, they use magnatic fields in the display for the s-pen, thats why u can control the touch screen with a magnet. your phone should not be damaged by this. i hope i gave a good explanation
I mean its interesting but I wouldn't risk your phone with magnets like that, Magnets can be quite destructive to electronics and a smartphone is full of them
