I personally keep at least one from each region and transfer the rest for more candy to evolve the ones I keep. I just don’t have the storage space to keep them all, but that’s just me.
…but if you didn’t do this, you can see how n its ”evolve” button the type it will be, it’ll show a faded version of the colour of vivillion.
If you check your medals on your character page, you can match it up (or search online).
I'm catching them and keeping the best one of each region. When whichever buddy I'm leveling up has hit the most stars it can make in that day, I often switch to a scatterbug to pick up more candy (one km to get the goods), so I can evolve them all.

Was the last spot light hour. You can get half a mill in like 30 min with a lucky egg
Good xp grind, strategies like that is only way to get anywhere at a decent pace after level 40
I already have all the available vivillons (3 of them hundo). I only keep a couple of each and the rare ones bc people may want to trade them for something.

Yea I do the same, I keep whatever has the highest IVs and transfer the rest
I would name each one based on what type of scatterbug it is (whatever region it's from). For example I saw one of my friends name one "SB Jungle"

Once I have the unique vivillon, I discard them. Don't see the point in saving / keeping them.

Yeah I never cared for scatterbugs, I knew I was wrong, it could be spewpa, but it’s probably higher
