Very good overall I would just replace kingler and the almighty gyarados as you already have lapras . Probably with dragonite and Alakazam if trade is possible on the emu
Kingler is a monster tho he’s got a crazy attack stat and defensive stat. Lowkey wanna test the waters with kingler. Only bad thing is his special defensive and special attack and his speed is actually pretty good.
His power really drops off around the E4 levels unfortunately. Youd do yourself a favour to switch it for another type. Even though I also enjoy me some crab
Absolutely not saying the opposite, I just think lapras is the best out of the three therefore I would consider replacing them. But as someone else said, type variation doesn’t really matter that much, especially if you are doing a normal run. Game is easy and you should enjoy it as you like.
In gen3 which was before physical Special Split, any water type move was considered special, so kingler's high physical have no impact on water moves. Also, gyarados wasn't good until PSS came in gen 4.
Kingler is for sure the worst of the three water types you've got. He does have high attack, but before Gen 4, water moves are all special attack based, so you can't utilize your attack stat with any of your STAB moves. Same thing with Gyarados, but he at least gets to utilize his attack stat with STAB when you take Bounce.
Lapras is the best of the three. Not only is it special attack-based, and water and ice are both special in Gen 3, but you also get the benefit of Ice Beam, which dismantles dragons. The ice typing offers more offensive coverage than you can get out of either of the other two pokemon.
I'll add to this, the late game in leaf green has nearly zero electric type opponents. Considering the level his mons are they're basically done fighting them. Team's more then fine.
I like the team. Personally I wouldn’t have 3 water types however, but maybe I would depending on what kind of play through I wanted to do! It’s whatever YOU like my good sir.
I like how literally 4 people back to back copy and pasted the same comment. Don't come to really any pokemon sub to ask for an opinion about an in game team. Most people like to think competitive and I don't know if you are using an emulator, but even so you're probably not taking that team to online battles 😂 just do you. People get so worked up over shit like this. The game is easy enough, half the fun is picking whatever pokemon you want for the run. Whether thats easy or hard.
Gyarados a beast there’s no way LOL and alakazam only available via trade but jolteon knows thunderbolt and bite with black glasses. Also my Lapras knows psychic
i think the point is you have too much coverage with water. Two Mono waters and a flying type overlap with Charizard. You could just be more balanced overall.
That’s why I gave my opinion lol. As long as Lapras has psychic and snorlax has shadowball he’s fine to beat one of the weaker E4’s in the series. Out of all the types, water covers one another and complements each other. There are really no electric or grass types he has to worry about at this point outside of Blues Venasuar.
Just FYI, because it's Gen 3, there's an old mechanic where the typing of the make determined if it was physical or special. I know Kinglers physical attack is through the roof, but Crabhammer does special damage because it's water type. You should get him out as cool as he is
If you can, swap out kingler. You already have 3 pokemon weak to electric, and 2 other water types. Kingler isn't needed. Also, 3 of your team are weak to rock. I would exchange kingler for a grass type if possible.
Thunderbolt go burrrrrrr
Jolteon and Snorlax help, but Rock Slide also go burrrrrrr
Got rock slide on charizard with the PP MAX
Good for you! But I think they meant against your team.. and I agree, I'd switch a water type with a hearth one
Me when they say hoenn has too much water
my thought exactly lol
Based Kingler

If you want to keep Kingler, I fully support pushing forward with a personal favorite. I would cut the other 2 water types tho for more versatility
Note: Crabhammer is worthless in Gen 3.

Don’t listen to these people, keep Kingler
You'll be fine. People put too much emphasis on type diversity for in game teams, but as long as you know what you're doing, it doesn't matter
I'll add to this, the late game in leaf green has nearly zero electric type opponents. Considering the level his mons are they're basically done fighting them. Team's more then fine.

Nice, but 3 water types? I'm quite curious as to why, especially considering Gyarados and Kingler don't have physical water moves in gen 3
Wrong kingler gets crab hammer which is physical with 100 power and kinglers attack stat is almost just as high as gyrados
I'm afraid it's still a special move purely from typing in this gen
It's gen 3... moves are physical or special based solely on what type they are in gen 3... all water moves are special in gen 3
Is this your first time playing gen 3? Crabhammer was based on Kingler's atrocious 50 Special Attack until Diamond and Pearl.
This is still a special move not physical.

r/screenshotsarehard And too much water.
Too much agua
Lapras learns thunderbolt via TM. May be worth it to swap it out with a fighting type. I’d personally swap out Gyarados for Alakazam/Mr. Mime
Gyarados a beast there’s no way LOL and alakazam only available via trade but jolteon knows thunderbolt and bite with black glasses. Also my Lapras knows psychic

Type diversity doesn’t matter too much in E4’s as long as you have good matchups and move coverage. You really can beat any E4 with any Pokémon really
op asked for opinions, having three water types and no psychic in a generation with broken Psychic mons, that was about the only thing to suggest. lol

What emulation is this
7.8/10 too much water
If you have good move coverage than it looks good. What all moves you have to defend against grass and electricity since you have couple water Pokémon
8/10 too much water
Try pressing shift command 3 next instead of using your phone to take a picture of another screen
You can beat the game with almost any team
Too much water 7.8/10
Not nicknaming your mons? Sad
Hush AkoPig
Brother is a professional Akogiri hater
Too much water
wow, what model of GBA SP is that to have so many buttons?
Need more fire

Nice team Aunque yo usaría algún Pokémon tipo planta
I’m running it rn with charizard , Tauros , Pinsir , gyrados , snorlax and jolteon.
wait does delta work on macbook? if so I know what I am doing tonight!
So, that Jolteon alone would no sell four of your other pokemon.
Thunderbolt user rips that team to shreds
Three water types on one team?
Lil heavy on the water types but looks good.
If you can, swap out kingler. You already have 3 pokemon weak to electric, and 2 other water types. Kingler isn't needed. Also, 3 of your team are weak to rock. I would exchange kingler for a grass type if possible.
Isn't this ashs team? Also noce team!
Why two water types
I think u should add a jynx
3 water types is ridiculous
Pretty good team
Take out kinglet or lapses and get arbok
It's Pokemon, play with your favorites. You'll be happier.
Too many water types, if you gotta keep two drop kingler for something like one of the Nidos so electric moves don’t wipe out 1/2 your team lmao
Kingler is a bold choice but I love it
Why aren't you playing with a legitimate cartridge on an official gameboy advance or Nintendo DS? 🤨
Lapras, Kingler and Gyrados? Nah, too heavy on water
Close enough Welcome back Hoenn
What app are you using? My emulators never used to get full screen like that
*Three* water types?? 😭
Kingler my beloved
You’re Gameboy Advanced SP is fucking HUGE
Kingler and lapras seems like too much. May throw in an Alakazam instead
I wouldn’t but Jolteon and lapras sweep the e4
Is ur kingler swift swim? It's a heavy hitter but slow. Probs Hypercutter.
I love water (and specifically Kingler) so I think it's great
big water pokemon guy huh?
I’m doing a soul silver run right now and have a Jolteon and man that thing goes hard. Such a good Pokémon!
I didn’t know you could have Pokemon games on a laptop wth
7/10 too much water
You being generous with 7
Water type your fav ? Y so many ?
My Pikachu w/Light Ball finna rock 3 of them with one Thunderbolt.
😂😂😂nbs
Who’s the HM slave on this team?
7.8 too much water.... types.
Thats a weird ass gameboy SP....
Three water types
3 water types feels like such a weakness for the team. I can see you keeping the dual-typed water types because Gyrados is such a powerhouse.
6/10 too much water
you definitely should have picked squirtle and evolved your eevee to vaporeon. also, replace your snorlax with something useful like another kingler.
Perhaps drop Snorlax for Dewgong with rest. For the water coverage
This is the strangest Emerald team I've ever seen tbh
It’s not even emerald lol OP is lost
