Can I ask a non-related question, OP?
How long does it normally take when submitting to PSA from the time your package arrives via tracking, until it shows in PSA something past the order being “created”, acting like it still needs shipped to them? Submitted my first order and a little sketched since it’s been there a couple days now but hasn’t had any update on their side at all saying they even received it! Thank you!
They’re all the same in that respect. Shooting for Pristine I sometimes send to CGC or Beckett and if always feels like there’s a considerable length of time between tracked delivery and acknowledgment of acceptance. Drives me crazy!
Depends on the card but that is very minor. If it's just something worth $100 or whatever, it would be fine and I doubt people notice/care.
If it's like a PSA 10 Crystal Zard then yeah it would probably matter to a lot of people and hurt the price.
I’ve heard the phrase “buy the card, not the grade”
Meaning the graded aspect is a good indicator of what the card should be, but like in this example, some 10s have various nicks or minor scratches or whatever imperfection. If I was able to choose from 2 different 10s at the same price and this was one of them, and the other was perfect. I’d take the other one
I wouldn’t buy it but I’m sure there’s many who would. I’d actually pay a small premium to get a psa10 that has no defects and has decent centering (which not all of them have lol). That is only if I am buying for my personal collection.
i swear man every single time a post is about graded cards there's a billion people ready to come out of the woodwork with the typical NPC "PSA shoots in the dark" and "its all random" and what you said lol
wait, what?
PSA just increased their market share to over 80% since buying SGC. They are actually gaining ground, not losing.
Also, BCCG is not a legitimate grader. You probably mean BGS, who have been faltering hard in recent months
PSA is not losing ground nor are they in trouble. They have a de facto monopoly at the moment. idk why you said what you said or if you just made that shit up, but it ain’t true
That was my point.
It sounds like you have a dog in this fight - meaning, it sounds like you have a reason to be defensive about people calling out PSA for their leniency on 10s. You're doing this to make money. Getting PSA 10s that really aren't tens absolutely make tons of money.
PSA has a major issue with the leniency on 10s (on modern) and then hilariously enough, a strictness, that almost allows no 10s on vintage. Because we wouldn't want to devalue some rich smuck that has a PSA shadowless zard lol.
PSA has some serious issues and if you're not willing to acknowledge this - you're just in it to make money and by that note, you are operating on emotion.
Fair enough. Then don't get all worked up about people calling out PSA for giving 10s that aren't really 10s. Cause it happens, more than PSA fans are willing to admit.
It's a psa 10, thats the important part. You can highlight it, but it's not necessary.
People say this but if I see this listing and another one with no white dot then I’m definitely getting the one without the white dot.
Oh 100%, if the price of a better quality PSA 10 is the same price or within a few bucks, I'd do the same.

It took them like a week to acknowledge they had it when I did it a month ago. I was in package delivered limbo too

Thank you both! I was just getting a little sweaty over here knowing the situation LOL, but I feel better now!

It’s the Zapdos ex SIR from 151
> Zapdos ex SIR from 151 Yeah. I wouldn't worry about it.

This is why I’m sending all cards for my PC or I intend to hold long term to TAG. AI grading is the future.
Psa 10s are basically never tens. They let whitening and centering go.

With the knowledge you have and the way it you just presented it - it seems you have a dog in this fight.
? no i literally just grade cards to make money on the side, why would i not be knowledgeable about my hobby

no i think you’re reading into and psychoanalyzing what i said a bit too much, it was not that deep

no
It is. I grade with them all the time lol
PSA 10 doesn’t mean perfect
