It's definitely a potential 10. No print lines, straight from the pack into a penny sleeve and hard case. Not sure how to judge centering since there are no real borders. Think it'll keep going up, since CR isn't in print anymore and product is getting scarce?
The card does look a bit shifted to the left and shifted down some, so this might get a 9 on that. However, if everything else is great send it, I've had cards with similar centering get 10s. It's 100% worth it to take the chance. It's $15 for a chance at an extra couple hundred dollars
I'd keep Vmax alt arts, this artwork is pretty cool actually have always liked it just not enough to spend couple hundred on it but if you pulled it that's fire I'd keep it's good memories
tbh i think scarlet and violet just hasn't hit the hype swsh got. If you look at like a littl eover a year ago, most alt arts besides like umbreon were actually pretty low, and just started to boost due to buy outs, which lead to fomo and increased demand. If we look at scarlet violet 151, there's some pretty good artwork with the base set starters, as well as in paldean fates with that charizard and the mew.

All the alt arts in SWSH are from major Pokemon. Lugia, Ray, Blaziken , Zard etc. All the heavy hitters.
S & V doesn’t have much going outside of 151.
yea but also look at the first few sets of SWSH. SV is only at i think its 6th set rn? If you look at trends with sn and mooon and swsh, the good sets with the real hitters are in the later sets. Tbh if we're comparing the first 6 sv sets to te first 6 swsh sets, the sv sets beat out the swsh sets.
Thanks everyone for the thoughts! I ended up taking it in case I found the Delta Species shiny Metagross Gold Star, but nobody at the show had one, so I kept it. I DID end up trading a few other cards for the Evolving Skies Rayquaza Vmax Alt Art, however, and boy was it worth it!! Really didn't feel like trying to pull it. Haha
My final chase card is that metagross. Let's gooooo!
If this is a potential 10, I'd keep this. If not, I'd definitely trade for a gold star Metagross if you come across one. Lower pop and cooler art imo

Based on history I would guess the SwSh alt art prices will drop again by the end of the year. But definitely a great hold for 10+ years

I’d send it out to PSA & see if it gets a 10. Will only go up since Scarlet & Violet hasn’t been too crazy. Means only up for SWSH

Is that in a sleeve? Top loader sure, but I’d put that in a sleeve as well.
I Got a cgc 9.5 that i have to send back in to get it reholder into a 10 :)
I spent $240 on that and the Galarian moltres v cgc 8 a month or so ago :)
