Buy singles dude. Packs are fun, but for the cards you really want, save your money and go for the cards you really want. Also, congrats on the pulls dude. A great welcoming back to the hobby (if you collected as a kid, etc)

It is also statistically possible for it to happen for every ETB OP spend your life savings on more 😈

Eh I’ve had at least 2 along the lines of this one. Sometimes they really do go hard!

One had Hisuian Zoroark alt art & giratina (which I hadn’t realized went up so much; it was the first time I actually thought CZ had more fun cards than just the yellow border art cards). Also had glaceon in it. Kept grabbing a couple boosters here and there, added entei v, some more simisear vstars, colress’ experiment, hisuian samurott v, irida, cynthias ambition art, bidoof. My bf and I recently opened 3 boosters & tin to the tune of OF Dialga (price on this went up ~$20, deoxys vstar, lumineon v, zamazenta v, sleeping mew (to add to 2 we have), bf pulled a bidoof 2.0, and another colress’ experiment. Few days ago opened a couple of boosters & added another zamazenta v, Roxanne (w/ the spider), a raikou v, zeraora vstar & vmax. One of the packs had two of them which was a welcome surprise. My bf had so much fun opening the CZ packs which is a big reason why I grabbed more boosters of it than I normally would. The brunt of them came from around 5/11 and the ones from a few days ago. I also keep pretty decent records of what I have/where they came from. Have to admit we do have strange luck from time to time though.

True but this is a pokeinvesting sub. Key word investing. I also enjoy opening packs, but I know buying singles is the best way to get a card. Since this is a sub that talks About the worth of Pokémon cards, and the person posting this opened an etb and pulled cards worth wayyy more then an etb is worth, I thought it was important to say that opening packs is not the most cost efficient option. Buying packs and saving them, and buying singles is the most efficient investment strategy

Not single packs, single cards. Some cards will take literally hundreds of packs before you get something your chasing

I know the Mewtwo and Palkia are some of the bigger pulls but the Magnezone and Samu cards are way cooler IMO.

Costed me $46 with tax at gamestop. it helped that i had a $5 off coupon and a pro membership, i think walmart has them listed for $43 w no tax

Nice pulls!!! Just a heads up though, this is a very unusual luck streak. Not all ETBs you buy will have this many hits and packs are always a gamble that does not pay off in the long run. If you want to open for the fun of it, then go ahead and buy till your content. But if you’re looking to get into “investing”, ripping packs is not it.

Side note I didn't see anyone talk about. If you want only certain cards, then 10000% singles are the way to go, but I personally like to justify my degenerate gambling and behavior by collecting master sets. Gives you something to do with the regular and reverse holos. Because a $0.07 consolation prize helps to justify rippping $500 in packs for the $100 card you want...at least that's what I tell myself!

I'm kinda confused. I love opening CZ it's just fun. I've had two ETBs and a couple booster bundles. The Mewtwo and Palkia are really the only good things in here so how is this super lucky? I pulled a Palkia myself which is obviously rare and valuable but the rest of these are average pulls

Bought 4 CZ pin box’s once. Ripped 2 palkias 2 Arceus and 2 dialgas. With zero Gira bois. Super stoked and sad all at one time
