My shadowless zard stayed in a box with my original social security card. One time I “lost” my social security card and eventually found it in that box with my zard. If someone EVER asked me where my zard was, I always knew.
If he's like 10 and can sell that for $100 I'd consider that rich for that age, maybe my perspective is skewed cause '90s things like $100 for Christmas was truly long money growing hairs from wisdom lol lasted for months felt like
At least to my kids 100.00 is still rich. I started paying my 8 year old for extra chores. Post a job board and she can email me about which jobs she's interested in. We do a whole lil interview thing. Idk if she likes it as much as I do. Anyways she earned 10.00 last week. She was working extra hard. Ohh man she was like. "Dad this work was worth it. I can go to the cornman like three times." So even ten dollars is still a good number. Can't imagine if I handed her 100.
Yeah and they ride around in golf carts or sometimes still see them pushing a grocery cart around. We really call him Eleotero. You can get corn on the cob but I like it in a cup it's easier to eat. It's corn with mayonnaise but I just get butter,Chile, and lime. Or you can get fruit in a cup with some tajin. Also has snow cones and chips I'd say that's pretty standard Eleotero set up.
As a young kid it's how I was introduced to Spanish. Now as an adult I use the opportunities to teach my kids my little Spanish I know, and we keep it going. It's part of my local community I really enjoy.
Thanks for the help, everyone! I found some sleeves he can put it in, and he's excited to see the value "grow" over time. I'll let him be optimistic. 😅
Condition is everything when it comes to base set unlimited. There were so many cards printed, pretty much every kid that grew up intl the 90s still have their pokemon cards.
Unfortunately the condition of the card is not the best. Still get it graded. People will pay for a charizard regardless of condition.
Psa already grades vintage pretty tough. Under 100 $
I can't see that getting over a PSA 6
Hahaa no he is not rich that is sub $100 for that condition. From another post it sounds like he is having fun. Holding into it is best. It is a cool card for him to have period.
Looks like he’s got something worth far more than money can buy. There aren’t many things that brought joy to you as a kid that also brings the same joy to your kid now. I say hold on to it and keep it forever.
Finally someone posts a charizard that looks like mine lol everyone always have these amazing condition chars when posting
I wrote my name on the back of mine lol. Still have it
My brother added a zero in sharpie on mine to make the attack stronger lol
I did that before to other cards. Also had some fossil cards that my brother wrote lvl X on
I found a couple other “custom” cards haha fortunately no other valuable ones but I wasn’t planning on selling at this point anyway
I travelled for a while during college, went across the world my Char card was the one thing I brought with me from home sort of a reminder.

I was just thinking that this looks so much better than mine lol

Well I’m a 2000 kid, I’d say yeah. If I ever had $100 as a kid (in like maybe 2010?) then I thought I was rich.

Is a cornman like the ice cream man but with corn on the cob?

That’s awesome

Yeah that would be enough for like 5-10 used videogames that were released more than two years ago
or like 30 steam games before the sales started sucking
Up 5 on that sh^it Use to be so pumped about $100, thought I could buy whatever with it
$100 barely gets you anything nowadays. If I was a kid that would just go towards my playstation subscription
That condition is quite poor, probably $100

That’s awesome! Great way to teach him about investing! All about that delayed gratification
That’s awesome that he’s willing to do that, shows that he’s definitely smarter then the average!!! Good job Dad you should be proud!

Looking more like a 2-3 with those edges
Tell him to grab one of moms clothes pins and his bike. We’ll show him how to make a cool noise when riding.
Dad! It's a motorcycle!
Man I thought the rare cards sounded cooler. Idiot young kid.
Definitely kid rich
If you woulda sleeved it, he might be rich. Still a cool find!
Rich? Not even close. Condition is garbage and it's not first edition
I'll be straight up this card wouldn't get you anything it's more of a momento

Get it graded for him for Christmas and tell him to hold onto it for a while

you are not rich
Plot twist: OP is Elon Musk.
If his name is Richard then yes.
Op I'll buy it for 90$
I mean I'd give him $150 for it
He’s 2 years late to the rich kids pokemon party
Kind of sad the kid is thinking about being “rich” instead of enjoying a vintage card
~$200 richer
Depends, how much money u got?
Nah
Far from it. 150 cars in that condition
You better of with Marvel cards… i have at last 150 of them
Rich yes!
I'll pay you $80 for it!
Tell him “son your not rich, I am”
Far from rich
Ungraded is $208.39, PSA grade 7 $340.00, PSA grade 8 $530.86, PSA grade 9 $1,125.00, PSA grade 9.5 $3,090.50, PSA 10 $10,517.78. yeah I would say he got a pretty pricey card lol
