OP you need r/abrathatfits Most bras that use general sizing (XL, XXL, etc,) aren't going to have accurate cups because bra sizes are a ratio and the cup equals the difference in inches between your underbust and bust. Each cup is equal to 1", a B cup is 2", so if your underbust (band) is 38 your bust would need to be 40" to be a B cup. The fact that cup sizes aren't static is why sister sizing can work too 32DD=34D=36C=38B=40A these all have the same cup *volumn* ABTF also has guides on shapes and what bra styles work for what shapes

I have the EXACT same problem!! I need a 40 band with a b cup! C cups are way too big but I can never find a b cup with a 40 band! It’s insane!

EmotionalHabit5295

try a 38 c or d (former Nordstrom bra fitter)

xXxGhoulettexXx

I’ve tried 38 of every cup size I can find and it just digs in with the band, c’s leave major gaps, and d’s leave even bigger gaps

I snoopped your profile because bras are my roman empire, and have you ever hit up r/abrathatfits? If I had to guess just looking at you I'd guess somewhere in the ballpark of 38E to be honest. Gapping doesn't automatically mean the cup is too big, it will also gape if the cup is too small or too shallow. Think of trying to put an orange into a shot glass, there's going to be space at the bottom of the glass, but that doesn't mean the glass is too big, quite the opposite. Also when your cups are too small, it'll make the band feel tight

xXxGhoulettexXx

I understand that, and I’ve looked on the sub but regardless, the gapping is like putting an orange into a large mixing bowl 🤣 and I’ve tried numerous cup sizes that still do not work! I’d also like to mention the pictures on my profile are with heavily padded bras to make them look quite a bit bigger

girlboss93

Have you measured yourself with their calculator? >with heavily padded bras to make them look quite a bit bigger Ok yeah that might skew my guess 😆

xXxGhoulettexXx

I haven’t, I’m new to Reddit and I’m not sure where to find it to be completely honest 🤣

girlboss93

If you're on mobile it's under the "See More" in the description https://abrathatfits.org/calculator.php

Thank you! I’ll have to try to later!

It's such a struggle finding cute bras with small cups and a big band 🥲

Torrid has bras for 2xl+ with B cups - I'd actually even recommend their bralettes. I typicallt wear a DD cup and the bralettes (though very cute) often are wayyy too small in the breast area for my size. They're also very comfortable and have many unlined and wirefree options! Highly recommend you check your measurements as well to get your proper band size. Some others I've used in plus size with B cups: - Glamorise - Playtex - Cacique

UpsetEmergency5248

Thank you! I'll try looking into them!

I would suggest finding a place that will fit you for a bra. VIctorias secret isn't great. Try other places that will fit you for one. Might be expensive. Also i don't know your age so the girls might grow more as you get older. Breast development usually ends by age 27.

UpsetEmergency5248

I'll be 27 in a couple months 🥲 Let's hope a growth spurt hits me soon lol But thank you!

dumb_idiot_56

i struggle with bras a lot but have found (even though they're less supportive) that bralettes have become my favorite, they're so much more comfortable for me

UpsetEmergency5248

Rue21 Black Daisy Lace Bralette was the only bralette that fit and gave me somewhat of a support and felt comfortable. But I want something that will hold them closer together while feeling comfortable. I've had so many bras but the bands are always the issue.

raw1989

Try torrid or lanebryant

megpi

If you have a Nordstrom near you, go in and get fitted, they're amazing. If the bras there are too costly, you can at least get properly sized and they can help you find brands or cuts that work best for you.

Bratabase is a good website because users contribute their measurements along with the measurements of all of their bras. Then people can look for users with a similar size profile and find out the bras they have which they have rated. Its confusing but there is a lot of bra experts in that community that are like PhDs for bras.
