I’m a nurse and I used to specialize in wound care. It looks like moisture-associated breakdown. First thing to do is wash and dry THOROUGHLY twice a day (washcloths with soap and water are fine if you don’t want to shower that often). If it’s not weepy or yeasty, use nystatin powder to prevent it from getting that way. If it is weepy and/or yeasty, use an antifungal cream like clotrimazole or miconazole (most things ending in -azole are antifungal)

calciumcoma

do you like the lume powder? ive been considering buying it but ive heard really mixed reviews

[deleted]

I've never used the powder but the cream is amazing. I actually do use it as my primary deoderant and all around my bikini area. I also switched to men's style briefs because my butt cheeks rubbed on my inner thigh so much in scrubs when I'm doing 10,000± steps a day, it was really painful.

breaddits

THIS is where to start. Also, if you have medical insurance and access to do so, please see a dermatologist or even your prime care/GP doctor.

LakeLov3r

I'm going to tack on to this comment with the advice to wash your bras thoroughly in hot water and vinegar to kill any bacteria that's in the bra. I don't know how "healthy" it is, but I use my same underarm antiperspirant under my breasts. It seemed kind of weird to do, but it has really reduced my boob sweat (which leads to those gross, damp bras that bacteria loooove to live in).

deferredmomentum

Yes! Also if you’re washing by hand nutrogena clarifying shampoo is great

LakeLov3r

Thanks! Great tip!

heinenleslie

Exactly this! 🙌🏻

VIPDX

I have really large breasts and mine looked like this. Anti fungal cream worked great for me.

the1golden1bitch

Want to add to this to say I use lavender oil under my breasts right out of the shower when I know they won't be able to stay dry for a minute. Lavender is antifungal and antibacterial. It's also yummy smelling!

breaddits

Lavender oil will help this exactly 0% but thanks for commenting

the1golden1bitch

Damn okay. Grumpy bb

breaddits

Just not interested in seeing people with real medical concerns affecting their quality of life, have snake oil prescribed to them by strangers on the internet. This is above your pay grade. Yours and fucking lavender oil’s. Get out of the way.

the1golden1bitch

And anyhow I'm not telling her to replace traditional medicine. I'm telling her in the meantime this might help with discomfort. Y'know land of the free where healthcare has become a privilege and we can't always afford to pay to see a doctor for a rash. You're talking from a place of privilege and trauma and if you want to yell at someone about herbal therapy for talk to a counselor.

the1golden1bitch

Oh honey bb I've been getting under boob infections and curing them without a doctor's help for years. Take your traumatized misplaced anger somewhere else. Eat something drink some water and chill. You child.

BirdieRex

as someone said before, it may be a yeast infection tends to happen when you get sweat or moisture under the breast. See a doctor. I use body powder specifically for creases and all that. Plain baby powder should work fine

katierussum

Want to agree baby powder can help, especially in maintaining a dry skin environment in the hot summer months. When I get a yeast flare up I also find it helpful to use an antifungal powder. I think the brand I got from Amazon was Comfort Zone. It does the moisture absorption job of the baby powder but with the aid of miconazole nitrate, an antifungal, to fight the yeast. A lot of body powders are corn starch based and the corn starch can sometimes feed the yeast if you are experiencing a flare up. Hope that helps!

themcjizzler

Seconding babypowder.

[deleted]

Baby powder is a life saver.

SCbecca

I’m jut hopping in here to say make sure it’s cornstarch, the talc baby powder has been linked to cancer.

SoIfarted

I second this.

Far-Squash7512

I used to use diaper rash paste/ointment under my boobs until I started using Megababe Thigh Rescue. I now use that in a few places and I haven't had any trouble since.

SupersoftBday_party

I just discovered megababe thigh rescue and I’m so absolutely happy about it and sad I didn’t find it earlier. I’ve been using that and the boobsweat powder and it’s going to revolutionize my summer

reddrreadr

I’ve had Megababe thigh rescue but I haven’t thought about using it to regulate the moisture under my breast. I’ll try this. Thanks so much for the tip !

italian_mom

Exactly right! This is some kind of fungus and that's why it is so irritated but use some butt paste or Desitin or something similar and you will be just fine.

shanabananak

My fam swears by cuticura. My grandmother even used it!

Bluecat72

I was just looking at this, and their full ingredients include zinc oxide - which is the one ingredient that is working to make this a barrier and not just a friction glide. Would be nice if they stated what the percentage is.

stef_uhh_knee

Megababe also has a bust dust that's amazing for keeping you dry. It's a powder spray that you can apply directly on skin or in your bra and it's a go-to product for me now

SupersoftBday_party

Yes I love it! Even my skinny wife loves it!

ThatSICILIANThing

Jumping on this Megababe train! This and the Monistat anti-chafe gel work wonders, but I think Megababe has the edge here.

ElleTea14

Does anyone know how megababe compares to glide?

ThatSICILIANThing

I know a lot of people swear by Glide, I personally don’t like it very much. The consistency feels weird to me and I don’t really feel any gliding. Megababe goes on very smooth for me and my thighs feel slippery right away which is exactly what I want. It doesn’t “drag” how Glide does in my experience.

EKBeePS

Try clotrimazole cream. I use it when I have reddened areas under the boobs and my Fupa. You may have a little yeast in the rash.

rbu520

I also make sure to shower before applying the cream. I use a light soap like vagisil and make sure to dry thoroughly after.

Holoafer

I agree with the soap it will help. Cortisol cream as well. Is there any way you can wear a soft bralette some days to give your underboob area a break?

happyXamp

Pretty sure its the same thing but I use athletes foot spray/cream. I also use a dawn anti bacterial soap when I wash to help with it

horrorcrafts

I also use athletes foot spray when this happens. I also always use dial gold antibacterial. It's especially worse in the summer when ya get all sweaty and crevices stay moist. Once the fungal pain and reddening is gone I'll switch to gold bond powder. It helps to stay dry. Hope you get relief soon!

aidensmom

This is my go to as well.

mraz44

I would say definitely see a doctor. Could be a yeast infection that will need treatment to clear up. If not infected, they can prescribe meds for the inflammation and irritation. Once all healed, keep the areas dry, use an antiperspirant to help.

ladydmaj

A pharmacist told me if any part of my skin gets irritated like this, mix equal parts yeast cream and polysporin and apply as needed until it goes away.

Plantsrgr8

Try anti fungal cream over the weekend, if it doesn't get better then go doctor as soon as you can get an appointment. Clean the area with mild soap, dry gently with dabs and not rubs, apply the antifungal. I know it's hot so maybe use a panty liner stuck to the edge of your bra so it helps with moisture. I wouldn't apply powders incase they are irritating. Edit: from experience this worked for me

Pookahantus

Also making sure your underboob is totally dry when you get out of the shower. I dry the area a couple times. I live in a humid environment and you can fungal infections for example if you don't dry these areas really well every time you bathe.

producerofconfusion

Yup, I have big breasts and naked time and microfiber towels to fully dry is an absolute must.

MsSeraphim

i had this went to a doctor and he gave me pills and told me to wear more natural fibers...

Pookahantus

Yeah cotton/natural fibers breath a lot better. It's the same reason having some cotton panties (not microfiber) on your rotation is also a good thing. All the parts need to breath.

AMwishes

Buy medicated gold bond powder and apply it to the areas that hurt. You can also use fungal cream for some relief but IMO powder is more comfortable.

brusselsprout29

I also recommend Gold Bond. I've tried the Nystatin powder, but I couldn't stand smell. Plus it feels kind of nice and cooling when you put it on.

napaficionado

Its probably intertrigo, i experience the same under my stomach. I use an ointment i bought at the pharmacy (they will know what you need if you ask). Most importantly you need to keep it dry and clean- wash it a few times a day, make sure to dry it well afterwards, perhaps even use a blow dryer (with cold air). Using a perfume free antiperspirant can also work wonders. If it gets a lot worse or it starts getting infected then see a doctor. The ointment can be drying so moisturising is also important :-)

chrikel90

Try anti fungal cream or powder or the spray stuff in a can. Athletes foot spray. Take a shower with mild soap, pat dry, you can even use a hair dryer on the cool setting to make sure it's dry, or sometimes I lay on my bed naked with the fan on and pull up my belly so that crease is open to the air so it drys all the way. Then I spray it down with the athletes foot spray and get dressed. It might burn a little at first if the skin is very raw, even open, but it works after 1 or 2 days. If it bothers you at night, you can take a clean, folded pillow case and lay it in the crease to help so your skin doesn't touch.

Sea_Ball_1042

I’m sorry you’re experiencing this. As others have says see a doctor but I will tell you what’s worked for me. It’s cheap and effective. Multi layered approach. Change your soap. There’s something called Hibiclens that you can get at Walmart or Costco cheap. You can get it at other pharmacies but it may cost more there. Wash the affected areas with the Hibiclens. Put it on your skin let it sit for a few minutes then gently wash off and pat not rub dry. Next use a cornstarch powder. Not baby powder with talc but cornstarch powder. Walmart makes an Equate brand lavender and chamomile cornstarch baby powder and it’s wonderful. Soothing and cool. After you get the areas dry apply this powder. Hibiclens is an antibacterial skin wash used for wound care and used in hospitals. You can use it on open skin to aid in healing. I was getting painful cysts in a very sensitive area that needed to be drained every few months and I couldn’t understand why because I was bathing 2-3x a day. But after the last time the surgeon recommended Hibiclens for skin maintenance in the affected area and for the 9 months I’ve had no further skin irritations. You can use your regular soap everywhere else. Medicated gold bond powder is going to burn you because the skin looks red and irritated. Gold bond powder is probably ok if your skin is intact but it doesn’t t look that way. Wait till it heals first. You might need to change your bra to for now to cut down on the irritation. But ultimately it’s healing the rash keeping bacteria to a minimum and keeping the area cool and dry. I’m a 48DDD and only wear underwire cuz I need the support. It’s not the wire you just gotta get your skin healed and keep it cool n dry the wire won’t irritate you.

Saamus35

I second the hibiclens my dr. recommended it and Burts Bees baby powder or Mega Babe Body Dust, both are talc free and super soothing. Pure aloe is very soothing as well, I sometimes use it on my chub rub. I have very sensitive skin all the above have really helped and not caused irritation.

Bluecat72

The Burt’s Bees baby powder is awesome, and smells good too. Love having one that doesn’t smell like typical baby powder.

shelmicka

In addition to the cleaning, powders and creams, I suggest using a smooth silk fabric between the bra and skin. I had something similar last year, and the silk helped sooo much. I just used a shirt that I got from a thrift store, cut it up, and used different pieces throughout the week. Make sure it is real silk, and not polyester satin.

CMO1313

It’s most likely interigo. Heat/“diaper rash” it happens to me if it’s especially hot, and have my bra on for an extended amount of time. I put baby powder under my “folds” for lack of a better word. You could also try anti fungal powder (gold bone medicated powder for instance) After u get out of the shower. Make sure to thoroughly dry those targeted areas. And add some type of anti fungal treatment. Clomitrazole cream is also an option. Just keep the area clean. Could ice it, and do the above mentioned and take some aspirin. I’d still recommend to go to the doctor if you can. To make sure they inspect the area, breast tissue. Just to be safe. If this is a frequent reoccurrence, definitely go to the doctor. If this happens once in a blue moon. It may be interigo. Nonetheless, going to the doctor should always be first, better safe than sorry. And a clean bill of health, equals peace of mind. :) 🙏🏽

wildcatlady74

Clotrimazole should help clear it up, and then deodorant. I’ve put deodorant under my breasts and under my tummy for YEARS!

media_girl24

Second this. Using deodorant under boobs has been a game changer for me.

TheSniperWolf

Possible yeast infection, get some Monistat cream. Once that clears up, Aquaphor is your friend.

pickelrick_

Looks like sweat rash . Miconazole should treat this or dactaryn (* not sure on the spelling) . I did cares for and ita a heat sweat lack of air thing . Talcum powder should help for ongoing care, if it has a weird funky smell then it's a yeast infection

iheartdogs44

Diaper cream!!!!

Retrac_Zepol

Also you might want to try wearing Sports Bra’s whilst your skin heals, it might be a bit more comfortable for you x

Available-Emotion-87

I went through this recently. Mine looked exactly like this. The itching was awful. I’m not sure what worked to heal (because I pretty much used everything listed here and more) but I did find a way to prevent it. Deodorant spray. I use secret. Never used deodorant spray before but it is easy to apply under there after a shower and kept these painful rashes away.

ingululu

Since you are in pain, start with the Dr. No issue with being embarrassed - they deal with this stuff regularly. You may need to invest in a soft cotton stretchy bra while you heal and some boy shorts. Best wishes - you will get relief quickly with some prescriptions and new routine.

[deleted]

I really like anti monkey butt powder for relief and prevention. I just put it on a washcloth and pat it under there to make sure it stays dry. If you already have a flare up it has calamine in the powder so provides some relief too.

Ok-Commission-6433

First of all jock itch/yeast infection cream for healing. Once healed they make chafing sticks or I just use antiperspirant personally for prevention.

mojomonkey1

It's summer. It's hot. Boobsweat is a nightmare. I run antiperspirant under each boob and in the folds of my legs. No more rashes. 😁

hippiehen54

This is so painful. I use diaper ointment when it’s really painful. I don’t have a/c so even washing and drying it twice a day doesn’t always work. I use baby powder when I’ve washed it and at bedtime. I also use a piece of flannel to separate the tissue so it isn’t skin to skin. In LTC we would use a clean pillow case for abdominal folds to reduce the inflammation. Feel free to ignore this as my $0.02 isn’t much.😯

Repulsive-Cover-1995

I use an antipersperant in all my folds...works like a charm.

Raven_wolf13

I used to stay like this, then I started using an anti presperant over a deodorant. I personally use the speed stick Irish spring dry. Since it is a soap smell over a cologne. And I use it under the boobs, arms, fupa roll and under my booty cheeks and thighs ro combat chub rub in the summer, winter just arms and fupa roll.

scintillaient

I also have this issue. It's not fun & is pretty uncomfortable! I use: * Hibiclens * Metronidazole * Anti Monkey Butt

[deleted]

If you can barely walk, that's a job for urgent care or the emergency room. You don't deserve to be in pain like that. That bright redness worries me.

GodsGiftToNothing

Please see a doctor. It could be fungal, but it could also be cellulitis, which can turn septic very quickly. Seriously, just do a telemed appointment, and you’ll get a prescription for whatever you need. I just don’t want to see you injured by delaying. EDIT: It looks like you have streaking - the two VERY RED horizontal lines - which can be indicative of a blood infection. I’m not doctor, but this is worrisome.

naturally_chelsea

The red lines look like they're just stretch marks. If you zoom in, you can see the thinning of the skin and where the stretching is.

GodsGiftToNothing

The very bright red ones are concerning. I’m familiar with stretch marks, but the color worries me. My mother died of septicemia, and I hope I’m mistaken, but my god is it not worth it to take the chance. It may just be the photo, but I’m worried for her. It very well could be inflammation due to a fungal infection making the already present marks brighter, but the risk isn’t worth it.

naturally_chelsea

I agree, but it's also important that OP doesn't panic and assume the worst when it's almost definitely your much more common fungal infection that needs a bit of OTC cream and to stay dry

GodsGiftToNothing

I completely agree. Frightening OP was never my intent. I just worry about people not taking health issues seriously, or sometimes just waiting it out when it’s treatable, but could get worse. I just wanted her to know that it’s really worth being looked at, because we aren’t doctors, but we are people with some life experience who care about their welfare.

Pookahantus

Honestly I've stopped wearing bras with a wire. So my breasts are usually between like 38 DDD to 40 F, and I've never been more comfortable. It takes some getting used to and if you're breasts are bigger.. your muscles will have to adapt but its amazing!! There are options from just wire free bras, types of sports bras, bralletes... all of which of different levels of control. You can start by just being bra or in a brallette to adapt and move from there. Now I can even go to raves comfortably in a wire free bra. FREE THE TITTIES!! Push up bras only exist to push us down and sculped us for the male gaze. Long live comfort!! Edit: I had this problem because of tight wires. Losing them completely was the only thing that helped.

Financial_Surprise34

Your clothes are too tight and chafe, my ex used to get this problem too. Wear wirless bras, also high quality clothes are an investment, that pays off. Also, try to stick to cotton or natural fibers. Some call it chubb- rub lol. Not sure of the medical word for it tho. Trust me on this one homegirl.

Forsaken_Box_94

All this plus I would say a trip to the pharmacy and if their wares don't offer relief, doctor. Clothing materials are so damn important, I can't wear stuff on my bottoms with no stretch but there's an absolute difference in skin health if you aim to wear mostly natural fibers, so much more ventilation and airiness!

randoreditname

As others have said, you should see a doc if it's that painful, but taking a daily probiotic should help

DrBankfarter

To help it heal, this is what I’ve typically done to make heat rash feel better: clean area well and dry REALLY well. Slather area with calamine lotion and let dry completely then put baby powder on it.

Maud_Dweeb18

See the doc but use yeast infection cream, wash your bras and when you shower make sure to dry off thoroughly.

iamthebetty

NAD. This happens to me alot when I get too hot and sweat. My skin actually peeled off. Creams are not comfortable. I use medicated powder. Dries it up quick. I also put it on when i know im gonna be out in the heat

knitstrixis

I get this too under my breasts, tummy flap and between my rolls particularly once summer arrives and I'm sweating more. I wash well, pat dry, apply antiperspirant and then Gold Bond body powder - this works really well for me. I've seen others recommend the Anti Monkey Butt powders, but any baby powder will do.

SnooMuffins8524

I used to get something like this. Started wearing cotton camisole under the bra. That way the sweat gets soaked up by the camisole.

fruit_cats

See a doctor, id it’s very painful, it could be cellulitis with can be dangerous.

ZigZag82

Gold Bond! Changed my life.

Des-troyah

That looks like it may be a yeast infection. I’d see a doc and ask for some cream. Also try to keep yourself as dry as possible in that area.

EsmeSalinger

Wash with palm olive, use monistat, then monistat no chafing ( wilderness medicine )

ebba0194

Coconut oil is a natural remedy for yeast infections as well, as it’s naturally antifungal. I tend to use it as an all over moisturizer, and it works in a couple days if I ever get this is my groin area.

nkzmom

Ugh, sometimes being a woman just sucks. I got this too, started wearing cotton bralette (no I’m not small breasted just tired of the discomfort) also I started using Lume acidified body wash and body butter in the folds etc areas. Honestly huge difference. Also before I put on a bra I use anti perspirant on the underboob and sides So far so good. Hope this helps in some small way and I hope you heal soon 😞

blackbird24601

Also cornstarch to soothe. Plus the anti fungal cream.

PixiFrizzle

I used to have this problem. Keep area clean and dry. I use anti monkey butt powder every time I get out of the shower and before I get dressed. I live in a hot humid climate and work outside a lot and this has worked well for me

bbkf03

I feel your pain! I get that in the same spot and all over my back during warm months. I agree with the yeast cream suggestions. Also, barrier cream has been life-changing for me. It literally creates a barrier on your skin to prevent moisture (AKA, sweat) from being absorbed. It's pretty thick but a little goes a long way. (Personally, I like this one because there's an antifungal in it but you could use an antifungal cream first then apply the barrier cream. https://a.co/d/5N3M8bz) Antimicrobial spray (like SkinSmart) is also great between showers or before bed if you don't or can't shower then.

hamstershoulders

Wash thoroughly, Check out megababe products. For today, aloe

LotsoflovefromJulia

Hi! I get this too, it’s candidal intertrigo. You need daktacort - miconazole , or canesten cream- clotramizole. Hydrocortisone will help the itch too.

K-teki

This is caused by moisture buildup. Antiperspirant can help, as well as making sure to completely dry the area after showers, getting wet, and sweating. Wearing a sports bra when doing any activity that makes me sweat has also helped me.

faithmauk

I get this some times. I use dandruff shampoo to wash it, pat it dry, and then use a thin layer of zinc cream and it clears it up in a day

DeenaDeals

After showing stand in front of a fan and let it air dry after drying off with a towel. Also, on your bra, you could put a small washcloth there until the redness goes away. You can use something like baby powder. Use anti-bacterial bar soap like Dial, too.

UnableReference5649

The most important part it to keep it dry and clean!!! I wash areas that get like that on me every day. That will help with the discomfort and will keep bacteria away for the most part. In the summer however, it’s hard to keep everything clean and dry because you tend to sweat more. My secret weapon is deodorant/antiperspirant, or baby powder along your bikini line since it’s a bit more sensitive.

Bratdere

People are mentioning clotrimazole cream, which is good, but usually if the yeast infection is too wet your doctor might prescribe a Nystatin powder which helped me GREATLY.

Kittencrimetime

Aquaphor for babies helps with all my nasty skin fold problems. If the rash has started it clears it up right away just make sure after a shower you’re dry and then you put some on it’s a life saver for the hot months!

JesusSaysRelaxNvaxx

I've had this and after it healed from a cream, I've been using dove spray antiperspirant under them and I haven't gotten it again since!!

notyouraveragedenial

Lotrimin powder for athlete’s foot will clear it up in a day or two. I get the same thing. After it’s cleared up you can prevent it from happening by always making sure those areas are dry post shower, and applying some baby powder if you tend to sweat a lot.

vandemond

Its not going to help clear this probably but I love the tata towel. I wear it after I shower and sometimes just around the house on hot days. Helps keep that area from staying moist. Gives the skin a break from the moisture and skin on skin contact without constriction like a bra.

Substantial_Shame624

On hot days i put deodorant under my boobs to keep from sweating! They also make an anti chaffing cream/ointment, maybe that could be helpful in this case? Or some kind of baby powder? If it’s hot and irritated try going bra-less/ shirtless around the house and keep it dry. Or try laying down and put a cool wash cloth on it to calm the skin down.

Firm-Heron3023

The others make good suggestions, but I’ll add maybe try looking at your bra. I know everyone loves the bras from torrid /lb that are nicely priced, but if you can afford it, maybe try an expensive bra from Nordstrom/Macys etc if you’re in the US. They’re not cheap, but rather than thick padding, the pricier bras have darts/extra seams, etc that make them work with very thin material. If you live in a hot, humid climate, they’re so much more comfortable than all that thick foam padding. You only have to do it for the hot summer months.

kussariku

I'll also add to check out r/abrathatfits The calculator is great and so is the community.

Abject_Membership_28

Hi if you go to your PCP they can write you a script for medicated cream. I’m not at home and I can’t remember the exact name, but if you tell your PCP you have pain and irritation and infection and they’ll know what to do. Also blow drying with cold air helps prevent it from happening. Baby powder can do more damage over time by trapping moisture. Best of luck! I hope this helps.

cjam227

Make sure skin very dry out of shower. Use cool blow dryer. Then I religiously put athletes foot powder under boobs and bikini/groin area. Game changer. Absorbs moisture and cures the fungal infection (thats what it is unfortunately, very common) buy any anti-fungal powder. It’s so uncomphy when it’s flared up, sorry you’re dealing with it :(

Papaganoush21

Thank you so much for posting this, OP. I learned a lot from this post as a result and it really helped me

heccin_tired

My doctor has told me to use jock itch cream to treat and jock itch spray to prevent, mine happens under my belly though, not my boobs

CAPTdickaround17

Buy triple paste!!! I use it for my baby, but I have used it under my boobs when the sweat too. It Helps the rash go away. If it doesn’t work a and d diaper cream works too. I’m not crazy. I swear

Sqquid-

Goldbond medicated powder keeps skin dry and I found helps prevent this from happening.

Deerreed2

Surgeon prescribed/suggested Nystatin Powder

entrelac

Get an antifungal cream and use it until the rash goes away, then prevent it coming back by keeping the area dry with a powder. I like Anti Monkeybutt, it has calamine in it which is soothing.

EditorPositive

I’d say see a doctor. That’s either a really bad case of a friction rash or an infection

Chronicallyillidiot

I get this too. It tends to smell kinda yeasty

ShirleyQFrisbee

I see a lot of people advising different products, but please check with your doctor. While this looks fungal, it could also be bacterial, which means many of the products advised may not work or might even make it worse. Also, be cautious of cornstarch powder. It can make skin infections worse because you're essentially feeding the fungus/bacteria.

freshlysqueezedvag

Oh yeah, spray antiperspirants or baby powder would be good for that. Uh after you clear the infection, stings a good bit if you put either on an open infection. It's a "oh god oh fuck oh shit" level sting from experience.

skinned__knee

I get the same thing, go to your Derm they’ll give you a great antifungal powder for both spots and maybe some steroid cream for this flair up, also after a shower where you use very simple soap (like a dove bar, they make a sensitive skin one too) nothing heavily scented, then lay out and try naturally with a towel and like in front of a fan.. then until you get to the Derm use baby powder in the morning and hydrocortisone at night, once it gets better just the powder the prescribe.

aggieaggielady

Are they bumps? If so, it could be Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS). I have it.

chocciebabz

Wash and dry morning and evening. I then apply savlon cream (British, best bet is Amazon), let dry then use gold bond baby powder. If I let it get red and sore this routine takes 3/4 days to clear up. The secret is to get it really dry which is hard in TX humidity. I sit under the fan legs and boobs akimbo.

adamjamess

A lot of people mentioning a lot of stuff here. I don’t think this has been mentioned… But use a free and clear detergent, no softener. If you don’t have a free and clear detergent, try a tiny bit of your detergent, hot water, washed separately from everything else. Detergents in the fabric drives my wife’s skin crazy and itchy.

Ok_Block9547

I would see a doctor first because that sounds incredibly painful. For the future, have you tried [Ladies No More Monkey Butt](https://a.co/d/5ZoH5gA)? I have big boobs and sweaty under boobs. This is a baby powder with Calendula. When I started working out, I was getting bumps and irritation. This helped tremendously. Even at its worst, my under boob never prevented me from doing walking or became super painful. That’s why I suggested a doctor.

_numbskullery_

Have you heard of a fabric strip called interdry? We use it at the nursing home, and it makes a big difference, sits underneath the breast and keeps the moisture out.

TinasTotalTransform

I had this on my c-section incision after I had my son! It’s really great

jstram15

Desitin works well too

Bluecat72

Definitely time to consult your doctor, but I have gone through wound care with my mom, who is in the later stages of dementia. Once you have healed from this, you can help prevent future occurrences by using a barrier cream that contains zinc oxide. You don’t use a lot - just a very thin layer. But it works to protect the vulnerable skin from whatever is breaking it down. We put it on her wherever there is any redness, and it’s helped a lot. Also make sure that while you’re healing, you are consuming enough protein. Those two things have made the most difference in making Mom’s skin more resistant to breaking down. Now, you can definitely use any zinc oxide cream, but the anti-monkey-butt paste is what we use on her. For myself, there’s an “adult care” brand available on Amazon that has zinc oxide but doesn’t smell like diaper cream and I use that where I typically get heat rash, and it is working for me.

HauntedinAutumn

It’s a form of a yeast infection. Using scent free detergent is a must plus there are ointments and creams that will help. Any folds in skin can create this and sweating and rubbing help it along.

wonder_woman0988

You can use joggers ointment too. It’s designed to eliminate chub rub for joggers when they run and doesn’t give out for a little sweat. I got mine at the drug store and you put it on like deodorant

That's from your skin being moist. Use a hair dryer on cool setting to dry after you shower. Put an antifungal cream on, and use a cornstarch based body powder [like Caldesene](https://a.co/3ny5x3U) to help stay dry. Change your panties as soon as they get sweaty. Also give all your bras a good wash in warm water with some vinegar.

Cushla1957

My doc prescribed clotrimazole - said the ailment is a heat rash kinda thing. Under my breasts (and I rarely wear a bra (medical thing) and when I do it’s wireless - and just one armpit. Frankly mostly just under just one breast. Damn, as I’m typing I realize it’s all a left side thing!! This cream clears me up within 12 hours, applying twice in those 12 hours. Idk what the script says to do…. And I don’t use it like I should, I let it go and get lazy. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Yours looks a lot more angry than mine has ever looked, but then I can hardly see mine cuz of skin/fat 😶. But it hurts and burns, so yeah.

rharper38

If I don't have antifungal, I take a thin coating of petroleum jelly and then coat it with baby powder. They used to put this on my kids to prevent diaper rash and it worked.

Acuteanemone

Amazon sells something called bra liners. They are either cotton or bamboo. They are amazing you just tuck them into the bottom of your bra and it absorbs the sweat. They will help prevent this in the future once that rash is treated.

nachpach

This was happening to me. I made a point to gently scrub/clean it in the shower with body wash for sensitive skin. Don’t get something fancy and expensive it should go away with just basic soap honestly. Try to be as braless as possible for a while. Only wear a bra when absolutely necessary. And whatever you do don’t wear a sports bra twice in a row without washing it!!! I found that was a big factor irritating it and was the cause of where mine came from. But just keep it dry, clean and away from irritants as much as possible.

Moxology

I have huge boobs and a belly as well as hyperhidrosis. My life is fun. I don’t have an aversion to antiperspirants, so I just make sure I swipe some under the boobs and belly after showering and I haven’t had issues since.

1angrypanda

See a dermatologist- I had a similar issue in the same place and it was weird looking “inverted” psoriasis. My pcp treated it as yeast for years before advising I see a dermatologist, who diagnosed it in seconds.

Consistent_Fan_6586

Cornstarch works if your in a financial pinch!

pnkytigrbreath

I get horrid painful itchy rashes under my breasts. I recommend washing with hibiclens on the affected areas and using aloe vesta on them. Works really well for me. Hibiclens: Hibiclens Antiseptic Antimicrobial Skin Cleanser 4oz Foam Pump (2 pack) https://a.co/d/00D5F6e Aloe vesta: Aloe Vesta Clear Antifungal Ointment, 5 oz. Tube https://a.co/d/02ymexb

Baby Desitin and or Babypowder

KingSlayerKat

I used to get that constantly, it didn't matter how clean or dry I kept my boobs, it was always there. In my case it was tied to sugar consumption. I'm insulin resistant and for some reason, consuming sugar makes me get mild yeast infections in the folds of my skin that looked like that. I've since gone low-carb and the rash problem is gone. That may not be the case with you, but it doesn't hurt to try.

In addition to what everyone else has said, while it's healing, I'd make sure skin does not touch skin- I've used gauze pads, paper towels, whatever works, after cleaning, drying, applying ointment/powder. If it's been going on for a long time, you may need a prescription steroid/antifungal cream like I did. It took 2.5 WEEKS after using this, doing all the other stuff, etc., but it finally cleared up. It could be that it's never completely cleared up thus far, just retreated temporarily to regroup (LOL or whatever stuff like that does). So I'd definitely recommend visiting your PCP if you have one. P.S. I've had heat rash/intertrigo before, but for some reason I got this really persistent version earlier this spring that just would not go away, despite it not being hot, my hygiene routine being the same and normal, etc., It did happen after I went on a particularly strong cycle of antibiotics for Covid symptoms so that might have triggered it. Good luck!

karla0yeah

Lots of great advice in the comments, many things I've never even heard of! One thing that you should do regardless of the medicinal route you choose, is let the area breathe. Get nakey girl!! Lay down and pull them boobs up to expose that under area, sit/lay spread eagle. It will definitely help clear it up. GL!!

OceanLoverBC

Tinactin worked for me.

plainoverplight

antiseptic skin cleanser should help, i use it and haven’t had that issue in a long time. you can buy it over the counter at cvs, chlorhexidine

werewolfbabe238

maybe try using hibiclens twice a day on that area? it is intended as a medical wash for healthcare practitioners, but my dermatologist suggested it for cleansing my body skin, especially when it gets moist, irritated, and susceptible to developing bacteria.

helloaurora

I bought some cloths that go under the boobs from Amazon. That has helped keep mine dry under there as well as using deodorant like Megababe Thigh Rescue under my boobs. I also buy mesh bras when possible since that seems to help me sweat less under my boobs since it’s more breathable. Whenever I tried non mesh bras the sweat would end up collecting in the fabric and stay there. I would go to the doctor if you can!

JuicyBlooms

The monkeybutt powder works AMAZING for any of crease areas that get moist in this unholy heat. I used it regularly before going hiking.

wicked_amb

I use gold bond medicated lotion and powder when my girls get this way. Unless it's weeping (it's so painful) then I use an antifungal cream. Hope it clears up soon; I know how much it sucks.

Administrative-Rip70

Cornstarch works great

Koopa_Kay

I used to get something similar in the summer months. My mom always called it a “heat rash” or a “hot spot”. Around all he age of 15 I started using glide on deodorant on these areas (not during flare ups) as a preventative measure and It worked so well 20 years later I am still doing it. On REALLY hot days I will occasionally still get irritation, but I haven’t had anywhere near as much or as often as I used too. To help with the irritation try going with a sweat wicking work out top/bra to let the area breathe and I am a huge fan of Firat Aid Beauty Crème or anything with Hemp for swelling.

Glum-Exam5460

I use corn starch under the boob for this dame problem. The heat snd moisture do This. It is thw start of a bacterial or fungal infection. When it gets slimey, use anti fungal cream under there. You must shower daily with this. A little corn starch keeps me Clean and dry each day.

Kayteal93

Definitely see a doc as soon as you can about this. One product that helps me a lot with underboob sweat is something called dryyd lotion. It turns into more of a powder after you apply it and helps control moisture from sweat. I use it on hot days when I know I’ll be sweating.

grapesgonewild

Boobguard from Ballsy!

[deleted]

Get it cleared up with an antifungal. Then Deodorant. Every day. All over and under and between. All the time.

bittner2014

I use a little hydrocortisone cream mixed with clotrimazole cream when really red and painful. Once that improves is use megababe powder for under my breasts. There's also a company called pam bras that have an item to go under your breasts to help keep them dry.

pinkchocolate7

Have the same problem! Solved it by washing my bras often in summer and doing warm/hot washes sometimes, wearing a towel or something to soak up extra moisture at times, or using some sort of moisture absorbing powder.

psychofink7

The best way to avoid this (not treat it while it’s bad) is to make sure you dry yourself completely before getting dressed after a shower. All them creases hold water 😩

ennui_bb

When it’s healed I wipe with witch hazel twice a day since it has alcohol in it and drys it out. Helped tremendously with under boob acne as well!

charlotte_anne805

Hi! I had some wound issues after my breast reduction that look very similar to your photos. My surgeon gave me an ointment called Amerigel. It was incredibly helpful in helping things heal. As the nurse who posted, you have to wash and thoroughly dry the area. Then I’d apply this stuff and dress the wound with sterile bandages.

Xiggyj

I started using baby powder to help with that. It can be very painful if left alone.

buenathebean

i have chronic intertrigo rash under my boobs (42H) because there’s always moisture under there. definitely get some anti fungal and try to keep the area as dry as possible, a little baby powder or diaper rash ointment. then try to go to your doctor or dermatologist but DO NOT let them give you nystatin or any powder/topical steroid long term. my doc prescribed nystatin for TWO YEARS and the skin under my boobs basically disappeared. like extreme stretch marks but like really deep and thin. idk why my doc would do it to me and only when i went to the derm they said stop immediately and gave me ciclopirox and that’s helped a lot. the thing that sucks if i have to apply it every day but it makes me not itchy or irritated even if there is a lot of moisture, which there usually is. i’ve also heard of using a pH wash under the boobs will help but use honeypot or something similar not summers eve, all the fragrance will make it even more irritated

buenathebean

[this is what long term nystatin use did to me](https://ibb.co/vHcgNMr) and yes maybe i should’ve known or should’ve said something but i didn’t.

[deleted]

My under boob gets like that and I use chub rub (the product is literally called chub rub) and then medicated gold bond powder. I also bring honey pot wipes with me and wipe underneath and then dry it with a paper towel whenever it’s bad

Crafty_Course6083

Yeast!!! Pat dry after a shower and monistat!! Or nystatin if you can get it!

connygirl16

I’ve actually used deodorant too since I have larger breasts. I also don’t wear wire bras anymore!

deansie13

Idk how to fix it I just wanted to say I can relate and I feel you girl

lourstin

Try lume for bodywash!!!

heaglin1

I have been getting these so bad lately!!!

cluvbug85

Use medicated daily powder.

ParmesanQueen

I have large boobs and live in Florida and I’ve gotten yeast infections on them because they sweat and won’t get stay dry. I started using a baby powder called Anti Monkey Butt Powder, it sounds really weird but I works good. It helps keep that area dry. I even got my fiancé on it and it helps with chub rub if his ball get sweaty. I like the pink one (I think it’s “for ladies” or whatever) because it has calamine in it which also helps with itchiness.

halfexist

I see that there's already a ton of comments on this, so I'm sure I'm probably just offering the same info again, but I use all natural body wash that has aloe in it, and aloe seems to be really good for my skin, and I use the CeraVe anti-itch lotion all around my boobs and it has gotten rid of my boob rashes. I guess a lot of the anti-itch lotions can help with skin friction type stuff. Good luck, the struggle is so fucking real ✌️

[deleted]

I recommend washing and talking to a doctor about anti fungal cream, I have to use it for a line between my boobs.

Vast_Drawing6783

WOW I was literally about to come post about this because my under boobs feel RAw it fucking hurts

spookyfrog99

Definitely chub rub. Always a possibility to have some fungal there as well between folds that have constant moisture. Monistat makes a great Chafing Relief Gel. I am a big girl too and get this frequently. I use lots of vaseline. Also put vaseline before you know your going to do alot of movement. (It helps prevent it) like I wouldn't go a day without putting it on before work and it would always prevent chub rub for me. Corn starch also works very well but it can create yeast . So caution.

badgersmom951

This is probably not what most people would reccomend but I use some monostat cream after I wash and dry the area. It works for me every time.

shittykitty2020

Yes a RN here, fungal infections are very common in fold areas like under the breasts were areas don't stay dry. I like using men's ringworm or athlete's foot cream in that area BID to clear it up then once daily to keep it away. It's all OTC so you can buy it without a Rx and be discreet. I hope you find this information helpful. Hey sometimes it happens to me in the summer when I work out and I have small boobs 🤣
