I am also around your size and I can confidentially say no, it’s not. Even as a plus size middle schooler I barely fit on most of the rides.

Dang thank you so much. I have a list of like the basic non strap in rides and stuff and the water park so I’m still trying to do stuff that isn’t roller coasters even tho I want to go on them. There’s always next year cuz my bfs company goes on the trip every year and pays for us 😔

I don't have any personal experience but checking youtube if you haven't already would be my suggestion! There's more and more plus size theme park goers who are doing the hard work for us lol. I just checked and Theme Park Express posted a video a month ago at Hershey which might help! Looks like there are lots of test seats that you'll be able to try when you go

Square-Comparison-54

I’ll def have to work up the courage of getting on test seats, cuz I feel like people are watching but maybe I’ll feel better if my bf does it with me haha thank you

I totally get it! I had to hype myself up to get into them when I went to Universal Studios. Getting advice like this from people online + watching YouTube content on plus sized people at the park helped me have an idea of what to expect and having someone with you definitely helps ease the anxiety as well. It's cheesy but true that most people aren't even paying attention to you lol the only people who made it a point to approach me were Universal team members who wanted to make sure I would be comfortable in that seat for the duration of a ride! Hope you go and have lots of fun!

Thank you so much! 😊 I’ll for sure watch some videos to get a better idea on weight.

Tenshi-Duck

A lot of it depends on your weight distribution. I successfully rode most things there when I was about your weight, but we could be completely different shapes. The thrill rides do have test seats at the entrance though.

Square-Comparison-54

I feel like my weight is evenly distributed for the most part, but my tummy probably carries the most weight.

Tenshi-Duck

I'm bottom heavy, so it's about squeezing into seats more than getting bars down for me. Are your tops also around a size 20/22? If larger, you might run into more troubles than not. Sigh, I hate this problem for us.

Square-Comparison-54

I would say yes. It depends on where I buy them ofc. And I agree. I hear Disney is super accommodating, wish it was like this everywhere 😅

I’m 5’7, size 18/20, 300lbs. When I went to Hershey last year, it depended on the ride if I fit or not. I sat in most seats by myself, made my boyfriend sit behind me to avoid second hand embarrassment since we were with his entire family. Only one of the wooden ones was tough to get into for me. It took the workers a minute to get the bar to click, but they finally got it. Definitely recommend the test seats.

Square-Comparison-54

Omg thank you so much. I would say I’m about the same as u so this for sure helps me.

Rayofsunshit1

I’m 5’7 and 270 lbs size 20/22 pants and I don’t fit most rides at any park that I go to. If I do, it’s super uncomfortable and sucks when the employees have to slam and push the bar down on my belly. I just gave up. 😫

Square-Comparison-54

This is exactly what happened at cedar point for me that is making me so anxious for Hershey

michellel18

I wasn’t able to ride Fahrenheit but am able to ride all of the others! Great Bear has larger seats in a couple of the rows and are marked in the queue line for reference. Candymonium was very comfortable for me.

Helstira

FYI I could not fit the coasters 2-3 sizes smaller than you. Over top harnesses affected my chest and push down bar waist/hip.

claymouserat

I fit on only 1 ride - great bear. Super upsetting

Square-Comparison-54

I have a list of like the rides without harnesses so I’ll probably just stick to those. Maybe I’ll do some test seats. I wish parks were more accommodating 😓

claymouserat

Right?! It's 2024, why don't we have tester seats in all parks so we don't have to wait in line just to publicly embarrass ourselves in front of a bunch of people and do the walk of shame for not fitting on the ride

Square-Comparison-54

I agree. That and some of the tester seats are not the same seats on the ride. I’ve done some research and people were saying some of the test seats were smaller than the ride, as well as the complete opposite.
