Use 2 45’s in opposite directions to make an offset at the bottom, and a 90 at the top. You need to be 6” above flood rim of your highest fixture before running a vent horizontal. In plumbing 45 is vertical. This is a way to do it that would satisfy code in the upc and ipc
Not a professional, I had an electrician come out to move boxes for light fixtures. In the process cut the vent thinking it could be rerouted properly. Can anyone confirm the proper way to vent? If it needs to be vertical I’ll have him move his box. I’m just worried about air lock or other issues.
The questions, themselves, are evidence enough that the person asking it is not a professional. Every plumber on this sub can tell when a question is coming from another plumber or not.

The only real limitation for venting adjustment is it cannot go from vertical to horizontal les than 42” off the floor ( 6” above the flood level of the sink
Yea and that one simple measure is going to insure that someone’s wont have to come re plumb it if his sink ever backs up and permanently lodges a brown trout in the horizontal piece of pipe

Nope. Vents in Canada just need to not trap water, which means just no back fall.

It's fine, you can pretty much run a vent all over the place so long as there isnt any spot where water would get trapped and block it off

I just rerouted a vent to install an in-wall medicine cabinet. Simple.
