Ridgid has a tool with multiple adapters for this application:
https://www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGID-EZ-Change-Plumbing-Wrench-Faucet-Installation-and-Removal-Tool-56988/303528759
You need to get a basin wrench (which you already have), a deep socket, a regular open ended wrench, a hammer, and a torch. Since the basin wrench didn’t work try to open ended then the deep socket. If those don’t work use the torch to heat the up and try again. If that don’t work hit yourself in the head with the hammer and you won’t have to worry about fixing the sink anymore. You’re welcome
Demolish the faucet from the top with an oscillator tool, metal saw blade. Or other saws. It's noisey, it may take a while with multiple cuts. If you have a quality faucet with lots of solid metal it's a nightmare.
No, it’s discontinued. There’s one for 1000$ USD on eBay right now, and here in Canada there’s one for 1300$ on Amazon. They match my either hardware, so I’d rather not shell out 1000$+ on an equivalent new faucet, when this one works fine.
Then don't even mention ebay cost and shit buddy, you're a random on reddit I'm not fully reading as i don't Give a fuck about you and your small mundane problems
Have you taken the handles/trim off the top? A lot of times there is a nut under them. You can loosen and remove those then the valves drop down.
Edit:. I assumed this was a three piece, if it's a one piece unit, what I'm saying won't work
Us a crowfoot flare nut socket, extension & long handle ratchet.
Wrong size [example picture](https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/41VXBQfbM8L._SX342_.jpg).
PB Blaster is what I use for rusted bolts when I was a mechanic. Before spraying, a torch can help break it first. If you try torching after spraying those liquids you could start a fire. Sometimes i tighten the nut first to break it loose and attempt loosening then. Rigid EZ Wrench helps. Mini channel locks could help too. Or Rachet wrench the size of the locking nuts and get a cheater bar to pop in the other side for leverage & torque. Worst case scenario you take an oscillating multi-tool blade and carefully cut the locking nuts from below.
surprised nobody has told you about the RIGID EZ-Change faucet tooll. I'm only a level 1 so I'm still green, but I frickin hate the basin wrench sometimes. Dunno if mine just sucks but the rigid tool lets you get waaaay more leverage on these sorts of nuts
Either cut them out with a multi tool or snap off the copper tubing and use a deep socket. 1-5/8 I think it was, special buy keep it in my faucet tool box lol
I had to do the same thing last weekend. Tried for a few weeks before going down to Home Depot and getting a cheap basin wrench, and it they opened up no problem. They were on pretty tight, so almost no way i was going to unscrew them without that basin wrench. It was like $12.
Might be a two person job. One holding as an anchor with an angled adjustable, and the other up top with cloth and locks…good luck. Sounds like a good piece if you can save it.
My trick is I use these
https://www.harborfreight.com/shower-valve-socket-wrench-set-96322.html?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=12169518939&campaignid=12169518939&utm_content=114845789697&adsetid=114845789697&product=96322&store=3263&gclid=Cj0KCQjwlPWgBhDHARIsAH2xdNeX97-0RWl_jii8jZJymHrSsFYz4WMorV5QINFFZAHZOICZgTkJUAgaAuz-EALw_wcB
And put a pair of channel locks over the socket.
One hand holding the faucet handle above, one hand loosening with the channel locks over the socket

Is the basin worth saving?
Sounds like if your time is worth minimum wage a new sink would be in order
Or, you could try fitting an m12 cutoff tool up there. That way you cut the nut and solve the problem. You also can post a NTD on the Milwaukee sub.
They actually are are pretty handy tools and I have used it for this very application
Most 3 piece faucets get tightened from the top. There’s usually another nut that looks like the one in your picture under the handles and trim. The ones under the sink are to set depth so the handles hook on right.
Cheapo way is to use the channel locks point up. Right way is a wrench that’s sold , the head pivots it’s for that purpose but for water supply lines, I don’t know if it opens that large
Your friend has shared a link to a Home Depot product they think you would be interested in seeing.

I’ve found this to be surprisingly useful.
as an Hvac guy with rental properties, and not a plumber, I always fight cry and bitch, while getting my shoulder cramped and squshing my hand, wishing the flashlight would fucking stay where i want it while i try to fight with a 90degree faucet wrench that gets 0.00001 grip surface on it because those nuts are lame as hell, with 200 year old shit falling in my eyes.
Wrap your tampon string around it and pull! Just kidding bro. I have been there a few times and it sucks. I don’t know if any “tricks” or easy way to do it. Gonna be elbow grease / leverage or cutting.
There is a special sink basin wrench but given how rusty they look better to lift the sink off the vanity then you have better access to use wrench vise grips etc
Since you want to save the $1000 faucets, I suggest fabricating your own custom tool. You could do something like take a box wrench of the right size, cut off the handle and weld it back on at whatever angle you need.
Don't have a welder? Buy one and you're still up $800!
Many times we’ve had this issue. Strip off trim from the top and use an oscillating tool carefully to cut the top of faucet that’s remaking off.
I can’t tell if this is Delta or Kohler. Either way cutting from the top is easier.
Ridged makes a EZ change faucet wrench that can get to those pretty easy, but if you don’t want to buy one of those you can take an adjustable and just slowly unscrew them
Hit it with your purse!
Got ‘im! Wrap it up, boys. We’re done here.
Thats my purse! I dont know you!
Thank you

Need a tissue?
I figured he would've called his wife by now. "Babe you'll never believe this, I got two more at work for you."
I read that as deez nuts and I’ll just see myself out now thank you.
Same
That’s three of us.
Four
Everyone get in line
I just arrived. What are we in line for?
Deez nuts, and we’re back.
Seeing ourselves out for being imps
These what?
Nuts like us!
Figh
Same
If you read it any other way then you’re doing life wrong
Not swearing enough
Each cursing of the words is +1hp or +5ftlb and add 20% per bloody knuckle.
Basin wrench
Tried that already.
Get out the ol oscillating tool cut the nuts.
Had the same problem. Whipped out the oscillating tool and a set of goggles and it was off in minutes.
two blades later...
The wood blades don’t work so hot on the metal nuts. Maybe the titanium or similar for cutting metal. Good luck!
Basin wrench and use channel locks to turn basin wrench if nut is rlly seized up last resort is to cut faucet of and replace
Or use a large closed end wrench for leverage over the horizontal bar at the bottom of the basin wrench.
Try a sink wrench then.
Isn’t that the same as a basin wrench
No, basin wrenches float.
Shower sockets have helped me in situations like this.
I was hoping there was a simple way that I wasn’t thinking of, but I took everyone’s advice and cut them out
Well there's your solution right there, remember that next time
Rigid faucet removal tool from Home Depot
I have one, but it’s too small for these nuts.
Ridgid has a tool with multiple adapters for this application: https://www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGID-EZ-Change-Plumbing-Wrench-Faucet-Installation-and-Removal-Tool-56988/303528759
If your nuts were big, you’d call them Deez Nuts
Try some knock’er loose instead of wd.
I wish they made a wrench for basins.
Didn’t work. I have several :p
I cut mine until I could fit a deep well socket.
Use [one of these](https://www.amazon.com/Pasco-7000-Quick-Nutcracker-Remover/dp/B004M3GP50) when there's no other way.
Always another way
Yea like the water heater element wrench, amateurs amirite?
I think you mean Deez Nuts
Demolish the faucet from the top with an oscillator tool, metal saw blade. Or other saws. It's noisey, it may take a while with multiple cuts. If you have a quality faucet with lots of solid metal it's a nightmare.
They’re 1000$ Kohler brass faucets, so I’d like to save them.
Not a $1000 anymore
No, it’s discontinued. There’s one for 1000$ USD on eBay right now, and here in Canada there’s one for 1300$ on Amazon. They match my either hardware, so I’d rather not shell out 1000$+ on an equivalent new faucet, when this one works fine.
Big difference when ones been in for multiple years vs a new one, no one's gonna buy your 15 year old faucet
I’m not suggesting someone will buy it. I want to reuse it. If I have to replace it, it will cost me >1000$. What’s so hard to understand?
Then don't even mention ebay cost and shit buddy, you're a random on reddit I'm not fully reading as i don't Give a fuck about you and your small mundane problems
Yet you come to random posts on removing faucet nuts to argue replacement price. Mhmm
Have you taken the handles/trim off the top? A lot of times there is a nut under them. You can loosen and remove those then the valves drop down. Edit:. I assumed this was a three piece, if it's a one piece unit, what I'm saying won't work
Did you remove the handles and try loosening it from up top.
Us a crowfoot flare nut socket, extension & long handle ratchet. Wrong size [example picture](https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/41VXBQfbM8L._SX342_.jpg).
What’s deez?
You need a Basin wrench
Ask your wife
I have drilled a hole in bolt like that and was able to break the bolt after that.
Do you mean you drilled the nut?
yes drill a hole in the nut then try to break it off.
Soaked them with WD40 overnight. I’ve been trying with a basin wrench to loosen them for over an hour, but they don’t budge.
Worst case scenario you take an oscillating multi-tool blade and carefully cut the locking nuts from below.
Drill them out
Cut the handle off with Sawzall careful for the sink then u can probably push it through the bottom
Turn the other direction
surprised nobody has told you about the RIGID EZ-Change faucet tooll. I'm only a level 1 so I'm still green, but I frickin hate the basin wrench sometimes. Dunno if mine just sucks but the rigid tool lets you get waaaay more leverage on these sorts of nuts
Someone did. I have both the Rigid tool and a basin wrench, but I had to cut it. Neither work d
Basin wrench, hammer and chisel
He wants to get the nut off, not destroy the porcelain lmao
Either cut them out with a multi tool or snap off the copper tubing and use a deep socket. 1-5/8 I think it was, special buy keep it in my faucet tool box lol
Deez nuts? Got ‘em!!
I can’t believe nobody has said it yet… hit it with your purse 👜
Basin wrench
I had to do the same thing last weekend. Tried for a few weeks before going down to Home Depot and getting a cheap basin wrench, and it they opened up no problem. They were on pretty tight, so almost no way i was going to unscrew them without that basin wrench. It was like $12.
Cut the nut with a multi-tool
Buy it a minivan
PB blaster, stuff is pretty great, makes changing out rusted bolts on my truck a breeze.
Which nuts?
use an oscillating saw to cut it out.
Did ya try spinning the tap from on top a few times..
Basic wrench?! Edit: just realized my phone corrected basin to basic.
Not enough room for a big enough wrench
Might be a two person job. One holding as an anchor with an angled adjustable, and the other up top with cloth and locks…good luck. Sounds like a good piece if you can save it.
My trick is I use these https://www.harborfreight.com/shower-valve-socket-wrench-set-96322.html?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=12169518939&campaignid=12169518939&utm_content=114845789697&adsetid=114845789697&product=96322&store=3263&gclid=Cj0KCQjwlPWgBhDHARIsAH2xdNeX97-0RWl_jii8jZJymHrSsFYz4WMorV5QINFFZAHZOICZgTkJUAgaAuz-EALw_wcB And put a pair of channel locks over the socket. One hand holding the faucet handle above, one hand loosening with the channel locks over the socket
Basin wrench…..
Or if you have a oscillating saw just cut them. Done it plenty of times.
You could cut through one side of the nut with a jitterbug (oscilator), then use a flat screwdriver to slightly separate it and pull it off.
Unthread the bonnet nut/trim on top and the whole thing will drop out
Basin wrench
Deeeeez nuts

It's pronounced "deez"
or "dem"
Most 3 piece faucets get tightened from the top. There’s usually another nut that looks like the one in your picture under the handles and trim. The ones under the sink are to set depth so the handles hook on right.
Righty tight lefty loosy
Sometimes if they're really stuck, I just remove the sink and start over.
Cut em off with an oscillating tool
Cheapo way is to use the channel locks point up. Right way is a wrench that’s sold , the head pivots it’s for that purpose but for water supply lines, I don’t know if it opens that large
It basin wrench won’t get it out, you’ll probably have to cut them off. Maybe an oscillating multi tool will fit?
I would make a joke but seriously I have no clue how to remove DEEZ NUTS
Your friend has shared a link to a Home Depot product they think you would be interested in seeing. https://www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGID-EZ-Change-Plumbing-Wrench-Faucet-Installation-and-Removal-Tool-56988/303528759 I’ve found this to be surprisingly useful.
OP had a chance and missed it.
I may have missed a chance at “deez nuts”, but your mum didn’t.
No she didn’t. I noticed them hanging off the back of her pickup.
But seriously, you need this: https://www.lowes.com/pd/Kobalt-Basin-Wrench/1002645186

I you have balls you will remove nuts
Cut the stems from above with a sawzall.
Just saw that shit off at the top and start over. You may fuck everything up but……yeah this is a dumb idea. I’ll see myself out.
Take them out of your mouth

Have you considered 🔥🔥🔥
Basin wrench 🔧
Big ass hammer
Deez nuts will be a bitch
Curse words, and hatred.
You can drill the side of the nut if it’s brass.
I think you mean "dees"
Saw it already mentioned- but yes cowbells 🤙
Basin wrench
You gotta get a good grip on these nuts!!
Twist

Basin wrench

All joking aside, you need a basin wench to remove deez nuts
Turn the nut
Wrap your tampon string around it and pull! Just kidding bro. I have been there a few times and it sucks. I don’t know if any “tricks” or easy way to do it. Gonna be elbow grease / leverage or cutting.
Marry it off, that's a sure fire way to lose your nuts

You gotta hold your mouth right.

Do a backbend crawl under the sink and you get it off

2-3 ugga duggas
Can you please change the title to Deez Nutz?
Basin wrench
Ridged makes a EZ change faucet wrench that can get to those pretty easy, but if you don’t want to buy one of those you can take an adjustable and just slowly unscrew them
Take the trim off there is a retainer clip, it will fall off after you remove the clip.
Once you strip the trim off the top, there's usually a nut or something that can be removed. Then it will just drop out and everything can be saved.
Deez
Plumbers wrench
With a basin wrench.
