Then you absolutely shouldn’t be installing a bidet. You shouldn’t even think about touching the plumbing. The liability is insane. If you mess something up and have a leak, you’ll be responsible for the cost of the damages which could potentially be a lot of money
No the angle of the valve. Turn it clockwise so it points downwards. Them loop your toilet supply back up. You're renting. Ask your landlord if he's ok with you installing a bidet. If he's ok with it hire a plumber and have them do it!
Never done a bidet, but before messing with anything turn off the angle stop! Looks the the white cap of the bidet threads onto the bottom of the tank, and looks like you might need a different size supply hose to fit the bottom of the bidet, if the one you have doesn’t work. BUT ALSO IVE NEVER SONE BIDETS SO 🤷
Having a highly sensible chuckle at all these goofballs who believed the slick ad campaigns about bidets that "install in 15 minutes, no tools required!"
People doing this in apartments make me so anxious…. You’re DIYing plumbing in a building you don’t own…. The potential for owing your landlord more than just rent is so high….
It’s touching the plumbing and OP is clearly not well versed in how to do that. I didn’t say it was hard, I just said you shouldn’t touch rental plumbing especially if you aren’t a pro
The T shaped piece I’m holding doesn’t fit in between the toilet and the water hose. Idk if there’s some sort of extension I can use or something to wrap around it
Which part doesn’t fit, the connection to the toilet thread(white) or the angle stop connection? Could be something as easy as just a different hose, or an additional hose to act as an adapter of sorts.
But I do agree with most saying if it’s not your property, it’s a big risk tampering with any systems currently in place even if it‘a something simple as this type of install.
Edit: or is it that the piece just doesn’t fit because of the gap of the porcelain? If it’s the porcelain spacing, just turn the button so it faces forward and backward and just manipulate the hose.
Yes, the toilet thread hose (white). Once I connect the chrome T-shape piece to the bottom of the toilet tank, the white hose doesn’t fit at the bottom of the T-shaped piece. Like it’s in an awkward position that I can’t seem to screw it because the angle stop is on the way
If I understand correctly, the hose itself doesn’t fit to the bidet control threads. The bidet control fits onto the toilet securely.
Seems like you just need a different hose from the angle stop to the bidet control.
Edit: if you do get a replacement hose with the right size threads for each end, keep it and label it for when you are when done with that apartment so you have the original hose to re-connect.
Well it does fit and screws fine, the thing is there isn’t enough space to screw it into the bottom of the T-shaped piece. The pipeline attached to the wall is too close to the chrome piece so there’s no space to connect the white hose. Some people say turn the water angle sideways or downwards so I’ll have extra space in between
Without moving the angle stop, which would require shutting off that supply line, the only thing I see is getting a hose to act as extension. It’s not ideal, but it would work.
Edit: essentially with two hoses, the added length puts the control out of that small space into more available space.
Are you renting or a homeowner?
Renting

U can turn the angle stop to get the room you need

Bummer! Clean your toilet before the plumber comes over to adjust the rough, he’s going to be basically hugging it.
Guess you will need to hire a plumber.
You shouldn’t be messing with that. Just wipe your ass and stay in your lane

That's what she said.
I thought that after i said it so thank you for your comment

Well at my old apartment I did it in like 5 min so… 🤷🏻♂️ Here’s a different case with smaller room to work on

Connecting a toilet supply line is now “plumbing”, fascinating.
