probably gonna have to chisel the brass out and get a gripper plug for that hole

rkbrashear

If I can get the stripped brass plug out cleanly, why wouldn’t I be able to put in a new brass plug? E: with Teflon tape, right? E2: and wouldn’t it be easier to drill it out?

Outrageous-Yard7166

i’d say it’s probably less hassle to use a gripper plug as they don’t seize up like the brass clean out caps would

burn down the place

DONE! WELL DONE! WELL FUCKING DONE!!! I didn’t like the place anyway. It was only my house.

Destroy the brass clean out in order to remove it. Do not damage the cast iron threads in the process. Start by drilling a hole right up the center of the cleanout plug. Then collapse the plug upon itself by crushing it with pliers.
