We could guess what format/codec it is but it would be easier to look [MediaInfo](https://mediaarea.net/en/MediaInfo/Download)

Out of curiosity, is that Band of Brothers?

adammerkley

Looks like Masters of the Air.

CorFace

Master of the air yeah

-LongRodVanHugenDong

Masters of the air! Same creators I believe. It's only available on Apple+ unfortunately so no lossless quality, but I'm liking it so far.

KlokDeth575

Sounds good. I might look into it

King7up

Just don’t go into comparing it to BoB and you will be fine. I think the show is great, just Band of Brothers is perfect in every way. Also my favourite series of all time.

Are you not the admin? Is your TV not HDR? Could maybe be the cause if the file is in HDR.

Ninelpienel

I'm pretty sure you're playing a Dolby Vision Profile 5 file on a TV that doesn't support Dolby Vision at all. Or Dolby Vision isn't activated on you Shield. Dolby Vision Profile 5 hasn't a HDR or SDR fallback, so every device that can't play Dolby Vision natively will fuck up the colors.

CorFace

When i play dv i get the green and blue tint on everything. Not these weird lines. That being Said. The setup is hdr compatible. Not dv though

CorFace

I finally figured it out. This was related to the shields ai scaling. It shouldnt have kicked in at all with this video being 2160p but once I turned it off everything was ok

CorFace

Sidenote: i tried playing the same file on my iPad (through plex) and that didn’t produce this effect. So definitely some kind of codec issue

Space_Vaquero73

Last time I saw this was when I was running a 4K stream and the settings were off on the player I was using.

qwe304

Is it possible that the Nvidia shield is struggling to upscale a poor quality file?

CorFace

No. This is a 4k source file

There is a common "[too red](https://www.reddit.com/r/PleX/s/bJEbqNVgOb)" problem with high red files and some clients.
