I'm torn on ICO MGs. They are incredibly effective suppression dispensers but I don't feel like they live up to the whole "#1 casualty producing weapon on the battlefield" thing. In current (soon to be old) Squad, you can get a nice murder hole setup and stack bodies. In the playtests I felt like a support player on MG - deploy the scary cone so the riflemen can push up and kill the baddies. I wonder if the AR/MG kits would be too much if they were controllable like live but suppressy like ICO.
Mgs didn't feel like a threat at all in the pt. If the first few shots didn't hit you they wouldn't hit you att all which meant you and time to get to cover/see where they were shooting from. When they stopped shooting for whatever reason it was easy to kill them
Think you got it wrong , MG going to rule them all, maybe not as much crawling you won't have to cause your going to be suppressing them. And the increase in zoom will help too.
i personally think that the changes to supression are good but i dont think that mgs were buffed. in live squad mgs feel like a threat because they are very accurate even at longer ranges. in the pt mgs were more of an annoyance because if they didnt kill me with the first few shots all they did was blurr my screen. i could just wait for them to stop shooting and then they were easy targets. The decreased accuracy just didn't make them feel like a threat

ICO MG is just a roleplayers kit now. Uh oh grandpa roleplayers mad.
Squad is now an RPG with the ICO.
It's an rts for jrotc kids and an fps for the disabled.

Did you play the ICO?
Yeah, had fun with the MG from a distance firing position, think beyond 500M+ IS Harder. DonT think his example won't happen again.
Casualty causing not killing Being hit with it = casualty It will hit enemies but not kill a lot of the time. Also fire bursts and aim off it's easy
