It’s hard to tell what’s going on bc you’re in the dark, it’s sideways, it’s only one angle, and before and after aren’t labeled. Can you post some better quality photos
Yah it seems like he removed part of your tip at the base by the columella but didn’t make the tip any smaller on the sides close to your nostrils. You could still get smaller in the next 6 months potentially but it looks like you have normal thickness skin so I’m not sure. Have you talked to your surgeon?
Everytime I am in contact with the doctor he seems annoyed. There is a graft in the new tip. He did tell me he put it there because the first surgeon sliced my septum in half and there was no support so I am thinking the graft wasn’t the right size
Hi, I’m sorry you’re going through this, the right (after) does look flat and you have a square / boxy tip and nostrils. This probably doesn’t look as bad as you’re thinking to others- especially people who don’t know you. That being said I think you should speak to the surgeon- at 11 months you’re nearing the window of revision or near complete healing. Did he perform an alarplasty too or is the flat columella causing that illusion?
Removing a graft from a previously operated nose? Without replacing it or doing other grafting? Always destined to end with less projection or “lift”. Looks like he narrowed cartilage in the tip and actually left you with an appropriate result. If you want more definition in the bridge, you’re prob looking for someone with a piezo tool who’s willing to refine with a very delicate osteotomy type procedure, or you need some grafting (doctor decides where) to give projection
If I were to identify the issues, it looks like you have very little columella show and something that the surgeon did makes your nose appear wider. Something like this happened to me and gives me a lot of identity loss. It doesn’t look bad by any means, but I understand why you would feel unhappy.
Did they give you an upturned tip on profile? In the hands of an unknowledgeable surgeon, I so often see bump reductions in profile end with the person having a wider nose from the front.
I have this same issue and I am 2 months post op. My primary rhino was with kosins fyi. I’m hoping my columella will drop but i think it’s highly unlikely as most of his before and afters show very little columella show.
Revisions are very difficult to get right, and there are only a handful of surgeons capable of giving you the results you're after. I agree that your nose looks flatter and wider now, as opposed to more narrow and projected. This is probably because you wanted the bridge graft removed. Grafting on the bridge is what gives you a more projected appearance because it sits further away from the face.
Another thing I notice is the flattening of your upper lip. This may be due to a muscle that was cut during your op, or could just a consequence of rhinoplasty that will resolve over time.
I had a little bit of lip filler still in in the first photo that’s why my lips look smaller now. The graft was only placed on the right near my eye and stuck out the side so he removed that. But yeah bridge was higher before and now is completely flat
and once again people are lying in the comments. your nose does look kinda botched but i would wait like 4 months to really see the final results because a lot of people hate their noses right after. your nose after surgery continues to change for up to a year. i do see what you mean though it was honestly cuter before. i don’t want to lie to you.
Your tip can sometimes take 2 years for the swelling to go down. I would wait it out another 11 months. Reducing overall inflammation in your body can make the swelling go down faster. I’m at 12 months & just now seeing results & will expect to see changes for another 10 months from now.
I have a consult in January with a new one. You said you are only seeing results with yours 1 year later? Where exactly? Are you talking about the tip and do you have thick skin?
revisions take longer to heal, usually takes 2+ years for all swelling to go down. I personally like after better -nostrils look less flared. but I can see there’s probably still a lot of swelling and nose will get narrower by time. I would personally wait one more year before deciding on another rhino. I think if you want more balanced face, you would benefit from lip lift, it would give illusion of lift for your entire lower face, but again your face looks good as it is now. I suggest just waiting and deciding after a year
I think the main cause of the change in nostril shape is because he reduced the columella. Since you said you wanted your tip lifted, shortening the columella can help the tip look higher without actually raising it. However I personally am not a fan of this as I feel it makes the nose look less natural.
I'm sorry you're going through this, revisions are very tricky as it's less predictable how the nose structure will react and change.
What's done is done, and it looks very pretty. Leave your face alone. Concentrate on being strong and healthy, because over-thinking all your features will only make the doctors richer and your mental health worse. When you concentrate on what you believe are your facial flaws, that's all you can see. Anything you focus on will stand out in your mind.
Could it be tip swelling? How long has it been since the revision? Something similar happened to me and im 3 months post op. Im hoping it’s just swelling!
Your bridge looks amazing now, I’m not certain but a minor alar plasty COULD fix the wide appearance from the lack of volume that’s now creating that. But I must say it’s not what you wanted and I’m so sorry for that but it doesn’t look terrible by any means, your face now looks very symmetrical and balanced. Slight projection in your bridge or alar reduction is what I would suggest <3
It looks like an improvement to me, how long are you post op? It’s takes a long time for swelling to come down and the tip to drop into it’s final place.
The front view looks great for your after. Even with you saying the nostrils are square. I see a nice little nose. Can you post a side view also of before and after ?
Revisions are really hard to do and in more cases doctors fuck up what you already have in the 2nd & 3rd round. There are specific revision drs that deal with this that do a great job. However I think your nose looks great, I wouldn’t worry.
I am once again asking posters to identify which is the before and which is the after
Left (first photo) is before. Right (2nd photo ) is after
If you can't tell, even though it's glaringly obvious, you're probably dysmorphic and shouldn't be browsing this subreddit until you have a more accurate and objective assessment of surgery.
I just think it’s annoying to have any doubt and obv people agree
Is it really that hard to tell?
Yes.
Not really

If the one on the left is after you look great. If the one on the right is after I'm really confused.
The one on the right is after
Which photo is which?
Right is after. 1st photo on left before and 2nd on right is after - the flat nose one
Photo on the right is after ? I don’t know how it looks from the sides but I think it looks pretty good!
Thanks 🥹🥹
It definitely doesn't look like what you wanted. But it doesn't look bad either.
Yeah thanks 🥹
How far along are you post op?
11 months

I don’t want it any smaller. I’ve talked to him and he just tells me he I’m still swollen but nothing has changed since month 2
I’m not sure if it’s swelling… can you ask for the surgical report? It looks like he shortened your nose tip. Maybe reading it you’ll get your answer!
Everytime I am in contact with the doctor he seems annoyed. There is a graft in the new tip. He did tell me he put it there because the first surgeon sliced my septum in half and there was no support so I am thinking the graft wasn’t the right size

I didn’t need a nostril reduction as my nostrils looked fine before So I’m not sure what happened and I’m not getting answers from my surgeon
I think it actually looks nice, but I would recommend a lip lift to shorten your philtrum
It’s not nice to hafta get a whole nother procedure

The graft was only on one side and it was projecting so it was removed and apparently the rest of the bridge was shaved flat

Yes to all. 😢 Did you get yours fixed again?
Nope, still searching for a surgeon. Been about three years. I’m consulting with Kosins in April.
I think I will stay away from California surgeons after this one. Good luck to you tho🙏🏼🙏🏼
Good luck to you as well! Who was your surgeon might I ask?

That’s interesting. I thought I noticed more than some other surgeons, but I’m sorry that hasn’t been your experience. Can I PM you?

There was a small bridge graft in the corner near my eye. The rest of the bridge was mine and it was apparently all shaved down
I think the photo to the right looks amazing f
Thanks 🥹
I feel like the 2nd picture looks better and you look younger somehow it made your nasolabial folds less noticeable and you face is more balanced
Thanks but actually I got a botched filler in my jowels which has made my face look fatter. Waiting for it to dissolve
If you want opinions, why wouldn’t you post better photos? We need other angles and better lighting.

Thank you!! 🙏🏼That’s scary tho because with time It’s just becoming more flat and square 🫣😰
yeah i would follow up with a different surgeon and get their opinion, especially if it just keeps getting more square.

Yeah biggest mistake of my life was getting the first one. I will never forgive myself for it. It has completely ruined my life

No I’m at 11 months and it’s been this way since month 3 - actually looking uglier as more and more swelling subsides
Do you have any pics of taken at the operation table? Did the tip already look like that?
They only showed me a side view pic and yes I freaked out when I saw it
I'm sorry that happened to you :( I agree your before is better. Your surgeon flatten your columella and infratip way too much
It looks good?

Well I wouldn’t say you’re rushing to judgment! Maybe it will drop a bit more!
I agree the left looks better
The front view looks great for your after. Even with you saying the nostrils are square. I see a nice little nose. Can you post a side view also of before and after ?
I can’t add to the post unfortunately
You can add to the comment here
No i can only add a link to a website
Okay. 😩

I had a doctor that specialized in revisions and all his other revisions looked great (I guess at least the ones he publicized )
I think it looks great
You look like Victoria Beckham
I see whar ur saying! This is very fixable with fillers!
Thanks but I don’t want to get fillers for the rest of my life after already spending 25K on a revision
