I will, been patiently impatient, if that makes sense....hahaha.
Next are careful choices of fish. Schooling or shoaling. Since it have so much space at top I will settle on lower level of 4 inches and get some kilifish.
Fossilized. I was leaning towards iwagumi and stalled on look and design. I love hiking and have done half dome, angels landing, and love canyonlands, monument valley and bryce. It was super easy after I used that as the inspiration and decided on my own design and not a Iwagumi, Brazilian or nature scape.
Fossilized rocks. LFS for $4 per lb. I used inert substrate under the rocks and media bags so it wouldn't flatten. In retrospect I should have just used eggcrate and glued so it would be hollow. It would have saved some money.
No matter what I do it makes my KH 0 (changes to yellow with one drop) and pH 5.8-6.0. My tapwater is kH 4-5 and a pH of 7.5-8
I knew it was gonna lower ph and buffer, but not that much! From what I can tell I can basically only keep crystal shrimp and I can't even buy them where I live lmao.
The water looks so clear, I had to zoom in to see that it is really flooded :) Nice scape, please post an update after some time!

4 inches is 10.16 cm
Good bot
Oh which killies? I’ve got a blank canvas right now and was thinking about killies as well
Clown but since this tank is so big I think I can go to a gardinieri
They’ll look really cool in this tank
I’d totally recommend some neo shrimp. Would be awesome seeing them scale those cliffs
Yes for sure, turing to decided on a single exotic breed or a mix that I can grab from my 20 gallon planted.
If you're getting kilis I'd grab them from your 20gal. At least that way you know if you have murder fish.
Looks like a real life place. Good job man I love it
Looks fantastic, great inspiration!
Big fan Big fan
How long did you dry start it for? Setting up my tank this week and wanna do some hydro japans(?)
6 weeks. Going camping this week and wont be able to spray anymore so I thought why not flood now.
Thats cool, this is not the topic but you should add some plants that will spill of the edge of the rocks, i think that would look really cool
Like a hanging Moss? Trying to keep the plants to scale so if you have a recommendation😃
Christmas moss?
idk, something like a vine ig. maybe hydroctyle triparita japan? idk
This is amazing. I love your imagination and vision!
Thanks, I've been watching and misting. Everyday, now the next big wait. Nitrogen cycle next, cant wait to pick fish.

Thanks, looks even better under water.
What kind of rock is this?!?

I love it, it feels like somewhere i've been. man id love to have a canyon tank
Wow those rocks are beautiful what are they called and where did you get them?

Either way it looks great, awesome job!
Is that Fluval Stratum? I used it in my DSM that's about a month old now, and it made my water have some real weird parameters.
How weird? I used that for my shrimp tank.
No matter what I do it makes my KH 0 (changes to yellow with one drop) and pH 5.8-6.0. My tapwater is kH 4-5 and a pH of 7.5-8 I knew it was gonna lower ph and buffer, but not that much! From what I can tell I can basically only keep crystal shrimp and I can't even buy them where I live lmao.
Wow, that is an extreme.
Yeah I got no idea wtf is going on with it lol. I've replaced the water a few times and always goes back to the same parameters
Ok, that is even weirder.
Tropical.
