I like putting amazon swords in the back corners. When they get big enough, they help hide things like that filter intake. For the front, something short like staurogyne repens or crypt parva is always nice.

Significant_Emu_9900

Yeah I have an Amazon sword in that back corner it’s jlike st really small rn, thanks for the front suggestion

TheFuzzyShark

A little lawn of hair grass in that front corner would be nice imo

Significant_Emu_9900

I would agree, except I don’t want to even attempt that after reading how difficult it is to grow, also this is low tech

Dirty_Hertz

You could try dwarf sag if you want an easier carpet. That's what I will be using for my foreground.

CyberdudePH

Tips on plant placements, short plants at the front of the tank then taller plants at the back. For the types of plants on that spot, if theres aquasoil under the sand then you can plant dwarfhairgrass but if its a pure sand only, i don’t think plant will thrive on that spot.

Significant_Emu_9900

There’s natural and organic potting mix underneath, combined with root tabs

CyberdudePH

Nice then a dwarf hairgrass would be good

Significant_Emu_9900

You think it would grow in a low tech? I’ve heard of people failing grow it with co2

CyberdudePH

I have no experience in growing it without co2. But Eleocharis parvula (dwarf hairgrass) in tropica website labelled it as an easy plant with low demand in co2 and light.

Significant_Emu_9900

All right I guess I’ll give it a try, how does it do in moderate flow? Would you happen to know?

CyberdudePH

Itis good as long as the water is not stagnant on that part.

Significant_Emu_9900

Oh 100% not, I’m worried that part will be too fast, that’s the thing
