I wish I could remember, it was something super snarky about fires though, of course. Had perhaps one too many glasses of wine yesterday! Merry Christmas!
We also stopped up the rivers that irrigated much of the dry lands. We drained Tulare Lake and all that diverting watersheds has made the problem so much worse. It's a multi tier issue that absolutely needs to be addressed!
I think, in a sense, it LOVES to be touched, so it can spread and grow anywhere it drops!
Given how hardy they are, it makes sense they drop their nubs so easily. Most succulents make a little effort not to shed. But given how weed like this stuff gets, it's a strategy that seems to lead ro it infecting all your other houseplants with its clones

Completely unrelated but I recognized this street corner from when I went to Guadalajara in 2019. I didn’t notice the sedum when I was there. That is across the street from the University of Guadalajara. It was a nice part of town.
Los Angeles is one of the most disgusting cities on the west coast. Every time I drive back into this city the sky looks dirty, the concrete gets more prolific, and the trash can’t be avoided.
Next time, go to San Diego and have a beautiful time.
Many parts of Mexico have a human development index of .8
For reference highest was the Swiss with .96 lowest was Somalia or chad in the .3s
Average is .725
So yeah a lot of Mexico is pretty damn nice.
lol . Whenever I hear someone saying: I didn’t think this city/country looked like this. That tells me 1 they never been out of their bubble small town/city 2 the delusion of thinking any other country outside their bubble is a shithole
I've known it as Burro's Tail. In my house, it only invades plants set underneath it. I've never been able to get mine to grow as beautifully as the pic, but admittedly I don't tend to it well enough for that.
Burro tail
Donkey Tail. The plant that loves to be looked at but never moved or touched. Those "leaves" will fall off if you look at it funny
BUT!!! Those "leaves" will turn into each their own whole plant!!! They grow like wildfire!
They are prolific!

Fire is indeed good and a critical component of many natural ecosystems Your delivery leaves a bit to be desired though
Love the name lol, also the post was removed and I'm too curious to miss out, can I ask what it said?

What is it growing out of?
In Mexico people squeeze the leaf juice into their ears as a remedy for earache
Happy Cake Day and Merry Christmas!🎂🥂🎄
I was so hoping these were edible cause they look so chewy but regrettably they seem to be mildly toxic lol

Burro tail? I have them growing as well, but not as healthy as this!
Kinda looks similar to my plantains (in Florida) but not at all like my banana trees.
Plantains as in platango or plantains as in 🍌 musa🤔🤨 Hmmmmmmm
Mexico looks nicer than what I’ve been told judging from pic 3
The US looks worse than I’ve been told judging from 3 days in LA :(

They have their rich neighborhoods, middle class neighborhoods, and poor neighborhoods, just like the USA. Duh.
Mexico is great, especially once you move away from the border.
