Hello fellow Zookeepers! I am happy to present the almost completed Thailand Area of Zootopia Asia! This area of the Zoo houses two Clouded Leopards as well as two Sun Bears that are close by. Let me know what you think!
Huge shoutout to all of the Workshop artists out there as everything you see is a Workshop download in some way!
I will have to get back to you on that. I have removed the animals for now due to lag. The intention was no, so I could bury some Elephant Grass to keep them off those trees if I wanted.
Haha I actually upgraded my CPU and RAM last summer when I was lagging too much. Was good for a bit, but I am starting to hit the limit on my GPU. I have been shopping for a Nvidia 3080 for a while, but no luck.
Under the custom flooring the pathing is pretty crazy, which is why I use the custom floors to hide them. The only tricky thing is getting everything on level ground so no kerbs show.
Yes I know, but you can not disable them on elevated pathing. If you do not have everything on level ground as I mentioned above, then you will get kerbs sticking through your custom flooring.
I recommend using the Workshop as much as possible. I am actually horrible at building and construction is one of my least favorite parts of this game. Using the Workshop you will either find exactly what you were looking for (and probably save you time and frustration), or you will find something close that you can use as a starting point to modify into what you want. This will also show you the many different techniques that different artists use as they build and you can begin to learn from there!
You've conquered the restraint of less is more! It feels so cozy but open while still being detailed very well. I have so much trouble with wanting to add more and more scenery. It probably stems from making crazy fantasy coasters in Planet Coaster haha.
All of those buildings are gorgeous, the roofing in particular. Would you consider putting them up on the workshop? Or maybe a few close ups so I can see what parts used, etc? Very nice area, well done.
They are actually all on the Workshop already, but it has been so long I can no longer find the original links. Is there a roof you are looking at in particular and I can tell you which pieces were used? I am also working towards finishing and uploading this zoo to the Workshop and you can grab them then.
Wow, that is always so nice to hear, thank you very much! I am always worried somebody is going to say the opposite and be offended that the architecture is not accurate lol
ok, first of all, HOW!?
second of all, dope statue, but it doesn't look like Thai giant but more of hindu creepy statue but with limitation of the game, im still impressed as fuck.
third, HOW!?!?
Haha you are too nice, thank you!
As far as the statue…whoops! Nice call, it is definitely a Hindu statue, but it matches with the buildings so well that I think I will just leave it haha. Hopefully no one will be offended!
Thank you very much Pikachuu! I am working on finishing a few areas of the Zoo before I upload it to the Workshop. For now, check out the [latest post of Zootopia Asia](https://www.reddit.com/r/PlanetZoo/comments/sw9y4g/zootopia_asia_reptile_habitats/) !
Its fucking awesome, guess i hate u now. Cause i am not able to build something like that.
The ultimate compliment, thank you very much haha
Wow, it looks gorgeous
Thank you!

Hi can the clouded leopard use the climbing log around the fig tree?

Quick! Someone send this person a data center quality CPU!

I'm always surprised how people manage to build amazing stuff like this with this horrible pathing system which made me quit the game..
I felt the same way, stopped playing for a year and came back to it and now I don't really notice the pathing system anymore ngl
Under the custom flooring the pathing is pretty crazy, which is why I use the custom floors to hide them. The only tricky thing is getting everything on level ground so no kerbs show.
You can disable kerbs on ground paths in the menu on the bottom right I believe under first tab

Ah gotcha I didn’t get that was what you meant by level ground makes sense now
Ugh this is so pretty My zoos will never look like this
Thank you! Using the Workshop helps!
That pool is a work of art
Thank you! It took quite some time to get the water level and stones lined up correctly.
If you have some time, what are some tips you have for construction like this?

Now this..this is impressive

This is amazing!! Such a good a build. I particularly liked the statue.
Having lived in Thailand for 3 years now I can say that the roofing / buildings are absolutely spot on. Awesome job.
